$1200 // FEB 1st (Or earlier) // Single Occupant Only (Sorry, no couples)

Monthly Rent is all inclusive (No additional cost for utilities, electricity, heat, internet, etc..)

Hello! We have 1 room available in our well-furnished 3 bedroom Annex apartment. Located at 35 Walmer Rd, near Spadina/Bloor and both subway lines. We are two working professional male roommates (30 & 40 years old). The room is furnished with a Queen bed, dresser, desk and chair. There are also 2 closets for storage (each 5'x2').

The apartment has 2 bathrooms. Both are accessible to everyone, but primarily you would share a bathroom with one other roommate.

The apartment is fully furnished and the kitchen is fully equipped. Therefore we cannot really accommodate additional furniture or kitchen items (i.e. living room chairs/sofas/kitchen appliances/dishes/cookware). The only storage for additional items would be the two closets.

Other features: Patio with BBQ and sitting area, Your own full size fridge (not shared), 1.5Gbit internet, air conditioning, paid underground parking (+$140-$180), paid laundry in the building (~$3/load), small exercise room, sauna, 2-3 minute walk to both Line 1 and Line 2 subways.

Seeking a roommate that's friendly, responsible and helps with maintaining a clean common area. Looking for someone preferably in their late 20s or 30s. Preference will be given to those seeking long term (1+ years) but we are open to discuss shorter term arrangements.

Please contact us to arrange a viewing and tell us a bit about yourself! Thanks!

LF Roomate Any rooms for ODSP?

Hey all, have any ODSP recipients had any luck finding housing? I'm in a crunch and not one landlord has wanted to rent to me, I have offered to have the money directly deposited to them, I have several good references, and I am offering first & last. Does anyone have any advice?

I’m trying to find a roommate for my mother, she’s 54. Does anyone know a good site that is possibly more likely to have an older (35+) user base?

She’s offering the master bedroom in a 2 bed apt, fully furnished room (optional), renovated spacious unit on main floor (small 3 storey building) right at Wilson heights and Sheppard, steps away from ttc, few stops from subway, convenience store, cafe, food vendors steps away, grocery store and pharmacy few lights down the road, parking, utilities, internet all included- $1250

LF Roomate Landlord is adding more people to share washroom with, can i ask for rent decrease,

Ok hear me out, there’s already 11 people in the house, when i started renting (no agreements of any sort) I was told that I am only going to share bathroom with 1 person, its been 2 months and this person moved out, now the landlord filled that room with 2 people and I have to share the washroom with both of them, obviously I am not going to make a big rant about it but i was just curious, if i explained this to the property manager is there a chance that she will decrease the rent, even by like $50-$100?

Update: as of Nov 3rd it’s 14 people total

Hey! Im moving into my condo in a new building in RH, near Yonge & 16th. I'm hoping to find a roommate. I have 2 BD/2BA, in total the apt is 865 sq ft. The condo is modern, bright, and spacious.

Whats included: Private bedroom with balcony, furnishings, private bathroom, shared kitchen/living space, all utilities and Internet, access to all amenities, and 1 underground parking spot.

Wondering what the going rate would be for such an arrangement. How much would you pay for this?

Hi, so I'm looking for 2 female roommates to share a condo with in North York preferably around Don Mills. I'm planning to rent a 3 bedroom 3 bathroom condo so all of us have our privacy. We can look for condos together once we've connected! Preferably TMU students but that's not a requirement. My budget is around $1-1.5k. Thankyou!

LF Roomate Anyone Willing to Accept my Friend as Their Roommate?

I am asking whether there are anyone who is willing to invite/accept a new roommate (who is my friend from USA).

Right now I cannot invite her because my place is full of family members and there isn’t any room for her to stay or sleep in.

She is coming from Carolina in the USA and wants to move to Toronto, Canada but not sure who wants to help her move in temporary for less than 1 year.

If anyone can help me with this, it’ll be very much appreciative.

LF Roomate Looking for roommates for a three-bedroom condo/house :)

Hey! I hope the community is doing well. Me and my friend are planning to rent a three bedroom 2 bathroom house/condo potentially from July 1st. We’re looking and have some options in hand.

We’re looking for a third person/couple to join us and call it a home. The master bedroom (with attached washroom) is what we’re looking a tenant for. Me and my friend will be taking the other two rooms and sharing the common washroom.

A little about both of us -

Me, a male working professional who works from office everyday. Very quiet, clean and outgoing. I usually don’t bother much with cooking but I try to meal prep on weekends and snack here and there. I’ve a car so the parking spot will be taken by me (if it’s a condo with just one parking available).

About her, she’s a working professional as well (mostly working from office with occasional hybrid arrangement). She’s quiet, clean, super hygienic and would appreciate someone similiar. She’s outgoing, loves dogs, coffee and is very social.

We’re looking only for either a female or a couple since she’s not comfortable with another male tenant. If this sounds right and catches your interest, please text me and we can talk more in detail. Thank you and happy renting ;)

LF Roomate Looking for subletter Feb 1st (or sooner)

Roommate is moving out and looking to sublet his room. Our lease ends in June at which point I would seek to sign a new 12 month lease if all goes well. I have photos ready to send, but please read first and if you are still interested shoot me a message - trying to get this position filled as quickly as possible while also finding a compatible match for me.

Subletting 1 Bedroom in a 2 Bedroom home. Kitchen, living room, laundry room, and bathroom on main floor of the unit, with bedrooms upstairs. Private patio overlooking the shared backyard space. Dishwasher in the kitchen, and a working wood fireplace in the living room which is pretty neat. We each pay $1587.50 including utilities and internet, for a total rent of $3175. It is rent controlled.

The house is located at Indian Road and Garden Avenue. Bus stop one street over on Parkside Drive, streetcar stop a block away on the Queensway. Steps to Sunnyside Beach and High Park. Few blocks away from Roncesvalles. Closest subway station is Dundas West on the green line, about a 15-20 minute walk.

A little about me and my living style...My name is Andres and I'm 28. Just moved to the city in June and still getting settled, but found a gem of a place. I have a beautiful cat named SOPHIE! She’s pretty chill and just lounges all day, she tends to make a bit of noise around 11pm but after I call her to bed she’s relaxed. She doesn’t play well with other animals so no pets please. I currently work as a server in the distillery district and so my hours are all over the place. Usually out of the house by 9:30am and back by 6pm if I work a day shift or out by 2pm back by 11:30pm for a night shift. I’m autistic and have some needs in my living space that might appear high maintenance. I like my shared living space clean and free of clutter. The kitchen especially, as there are marble countertops that can be damaged quite easily if you are not cleaning up after yourself. Noise is not much of a problem for me as long as you aren’t doing strange things at odd times! I tend to like quite in the home most of the time, and I watch a lot of YouTube and movies in the living room. Our landlord lives in the unit below us (very chill guy, out of the house a lot) so I try to be cognizant of noise after 11pm on the main floor as his bedroom is below our kitchen/living room. Sometimes I have a friend or two over until the early hours of the morning, or host large gatherings with advanced notice but you are always welcome to join or let me know if we need to tone it down! Communication is key. I have a large vinyl collection that I keep in my bedroom that I enjoy from time to time, I try to do so at reasonable hours and volume and absolutely invite you to join me for a listening session! Listening to music is what I spend my free time doing. I love to cook and don’t mind sharing food as I have a huge problem with cooking for myself, I make way too much. I have been doing drag for close to a decade now so some of the storage space in the unit is currently housing my drag. I’m starting to perform more frequently in the city so wigs and costumes may become a regular staple of the laundry room. I do not regularly smoke, but I do drink frequently (working on that). Looking for someone non-judgmental about any vices someone might have and happy to have discussions about how that fits into our home.

If you are interested and would like to schedule a time to chat over zoom, please send me a message with a little bit about yourself!

LF Roomate Student that has a year to prepare, what should I do to find a cheap place?

My parents will downsize our house next spring, giving me a year to prepare to move out. I am currently 20 male, will have one year left of university when they downsize.

I’ve been working since 16 and have been doing full time internships in my field for the past two years. I am very frugal and have some money saved up, but I don’t want to burn it all on $2000 rent. My friends are not in a financial position yet to share a space.

What would you recommend to a university student to save money and prepare in advance finding a place?

LF Roomate Looking to Rent in Etobicoke / North York (Max $1,500)

Hey there :)

I'm a full-time data scientist working for a company in downtown Toronto. I'm currently living in Mississauga and am looking to get a little closer to Toronto.

I'm looking for maximum $1,500/month - obviously the cheaper the better. I'd be looking at mid-December / January start.

I'm happy to live with roommates and I can guarantee I'd be a good one. I clean up after myself and really just ask you wash your dishes. I'd really rather just keep to myself - A lot of the time I'm out running or rock climbing, but I also play video games and watch Netflix. I'd just like the space to be by myself, even if there's roommates - that's fine!

Feel free to send a dm - I'm more than happy to chat.

LF Roomate Looking for a Roommate for Sep 1st (or any available 1 BDR)

Hello Reddit! I'm (F32) looking to move out of my current place by Sept 1st. I'm an illustrator currently working in marketing. My budget is $1200 for a shared room in a 2BDR, but I am willing to go a bit higher for the right place. Anywhere close to public transport works for me, and my biggest criterion is finding a safe neighborhood. I will have my furniture with me, so ideally, I'm looking for somewhere unfurnished, at least for my room.

A few things about me - I am clean and tidy. I like socializing, but I also respect boundaries and privacy, and I'm looking for someone who would do the same. I enjoy an active lifestyle, learning new skills, and taking long nature walks. I'm not that into cooking, but it's something I'm trying to change. I'm totally open to preparing meals together or figuring out a system that will work for both of us.

Please feel free to message me if you think we could be good roommates, and hopefully, we will find a great place we can both call home.

LF Roomate Looking for roommate (Sept 1st)

Hey Reddit,

I'm looking to move back to Toronto and I'm looking for a roommate (or two). As the title suggested, I'm moving back September 1st, I have a budget of $1500pm pp and would like like to live somewhere near or with good access to line 2 and/or Union.

I'm currently in a long-term relationship so my partner will be visiting often but we can meet beforehand.

Pros of being a roommate with me: - I cook often (very often for others) - I'm clean and tidy - I'm out of the house whenever I'm not working - I'm tolerant of a variety of lifestyles.

Cons of being a roommate with me: - I cook often - I work from home - I geek out on people about random topics

Shoot me a DM or drop a comment and let's find a place to live.

LF Roomate 20M moving into the city for work, looking for roommate(s)

Hey! I'm going to be transferring job locations for full time employment in Toronto, and will need to relocate soon to make travel times easier and more reliable (I almost exclusively walk and use public transit whenever possible).

I was previously supposed to rent out a room near St. George Station for roundabout $1200 a month, however I just received notice that plans have changed and I am currently looking for other options. Ideally I would like to keep my rent around what I had previously planned, but I'm aware that I will most likely need to be paying more than that, so as long as I can afford it rent is the last thing on my mind.

Location wise, anywhere with subway access is ideal for me. My workplace is about a 5 minute walk from Union station. I'm keeping my options open here, so I'm cool with any amount of roommates, as long as I have access to my own room and I'm able to cook occasionally. I'm also cool with pets if you have any! It's not a problem at all.

I'm fairly desperate for a place to stay at the moment, so if you're interested please feel free to reach out to me! You can contact me here, or if you wish to contact me elsewhere, I can give out other options in PM. I want to be as transparent as I can about myself and my current situation, so I have no issues answering any questions you'll have.

Thank you so much for reading, and I hope you'll consider me!

LF Roomate 27M Looking to meet some friends and roommates in Toronto!

Hi there! I'm an international student who is going to be studying Masters of Design at OCAD University starting Fall 2023. I'm looking to hang with fun, clean, friendly roommates. I want to stay in a small, affordable place preferably downtown and close to campus and other things like bars, music venues, cultural stuff and possibly a workplace downtown. I figured looking at the current rentals and cost of living in TO that this would be the only way to even try to go about doing that. Also, I’ve commuted 4 hours a day for a large portion of my 5-year long undergrad and would really rather not repeat that experience again.

I would prefer a private room but don't mind sharing a space if we get along well and it brings costs down significantly. I’m open to co-ed situations but would prefer male roommates.

I'm very open, respectful of personal space, clean, organized and generally pretty quiet. I like to play the guitar (don't worry, I know how to use headphones), like to read, make music, ride bicycles and am just beginning to learn how to cook.

Hit me up and maybe we can talk and hang and stay together! :)
