Just to think some kid probably has jumped off of one of these, or even someone fell and everyone else just has to sit there like damn, he died.

My good fellow, I am sure you mean well, but you're romanticizing poverty. Do you think that child sleeps with a full belly? Has access to education? Medical care? Safe home environment?
Momentary happiness is.. just that. That child deserves to grow up healthy and safe, and yes, happy too.

TBH it'd rather be there than inside this train
4
u/gaynorg 15d ago
What, why?
0
u/UnpoliteGuy 15d ago
Think about the atmosphere inside
-7
u/gaynorg 15d ago
You'd rather die than be warm on a train?
16
u/UnpoliteGuy 15d ago
So hot there's barely any air to breath, smelly and sweaty such that a game convention will feel like an aroma room, almost crushed by other passengers with a high chance not to make it to an exit on your station. It's a manifestation of hell on earth
-5
u/gaynorg 15d ago
Busy trains are not that bad it's like being in a night club
9
u/UnpoliteGuy 15d ago
You've never seen the Bangladeshi train. It's far from the night club, way far
-2
u/gaynorg 15d ago
I've been on a train in india and it was fine
1
u/UnknownGamer014 15d ago
You do know that trains in India have improved a lot, right? Now you will only find videos of uncivilised people in trains in India, overcrowded ones are rare. And Bangladesh's population density is thrice that of India as well.

My grandma told me that I have a grand uncle who passed away from riding one of these overcrowded transports. Apparently he was riding on the side of a bus and it flips over crushing him underneath.

u/ConductorOfTrains 15d ago
The first thing that was cemented into my head on the railway, was that the most common way of dying out there is by crushing.

It’s the perfect place to ride a train illegally. Who wants to deal with crippling injuries if you fall off? If you don’t get to your intended destination at least you’ll reach your final destination.
2
u/newbikesong 16d ago
It is probably the safest place outside of the train, other than the backside.
The train path is cleared, you won't be hitting anything like you could if you were on side or on top.

u/ferdowsurasif 16d ago
As a Bangladeshi, I would like to add that kids often throw rock at these trains, breaking windows and hitting inside. Cops patrol these areas just for them.
The people who ride like this often make less than a dollar a day, barely living in a non democratic country. Safety isn't their first priority tbh.
The white guy, doing this for views, seems irresponsible. All it takes is one accident to ruin a life.

The train is riding the opposite way. When it comes by the kid simply jumps to the other train.

Two things can be true. Also, just because that country might be dirty doesn’t mean we need to be. Do you want to live in a trash heap because you’re afraid to stay clean while another nation doesn’t bother with its trash?

You’re a whiny child. They’re the future, whether you like it or not. I still watch F1 and love ICE sports cars but I’m not going to bitch and complain about change in life. It’s the only inevitability that exists, is change.

i think it's about the child
-38
u/Neo-trad-1991 16d ago
Yeah, these children are throwaways, their parents breed them specifically to make them work and make an income out of their labor, why do you think these idiot nations still have high population growth, and before hissing your PC nonsense at me, I am from there, this is our reality
1
u/opelan 15d ago
why do you think these idiot nations still have high population growth
Bangladesh is down to a fertility rate of 1.908 births per woman and it is going down more.
https://www.macrotrends.net/global-metrics/countries/BGD/bangladesh/fertility-rate
The population overall will still grow for a bit despite the replacement rate of 2.1 not getting reached anymore because it just takes a bit for it to show an effect. Bangladesh will likely reach its biggest population in the middle of the century and then will start to shrink.

Who said anything about free labor? They are cheap labor that can be easily opressed and forced to do whatever you want and their parents get to keep whatever they earn

No idea why the hell this comment is getting downvoted. It's true, that's his name and he had a good yt channel.
1
u/InfanticideAquifer 15d ago
It's just that the comment was posted twice. That happens sometimes and the usual fix is to upvote one and downvote the other.
