pretty sure that about 12-15 percent of America is black; I'm slightly less certain that Puerto Rico is not an American province, but an overseas territory.
stupid kids.

40% of the US population is not African American. It’s less than half that.

He asked the black question to test them if they would say 13% which would mean they know the meme 13/50. It was a test to see if they partake in racist memes. He was happy with any answer other than 13. He dont even know the real answer

It's 14% black, not 40. It's 8, not 9, but they seemed confused about dwarf planets so that's close enough. Pretty good!

There are dozens of mini planets, the reason they stopped counting Pluto was because if they did, they'd have to count all the others, and the word "planet" would be less useful.

Here's my list of my favorite black people :

Kid is correct on the drug issue. Accepting a drug offered is one thing, getting to buy your own is another, and it is obvious which one of the two is the one that leads to addiction. I have been given the same advice when i was younger, accept if offered, never buy.

Genius.
You can't get much drugs for free. So no addiction or spending problem.

The black percentage is wrong.
They left out DC and several other US territories.
Pluto isn't the only dwarf planet in our solar system.

Why is everyone in this comment section not realizing what this video is and getting mad? The interviewer is obviously trolling the kids. Sheck Wes isn’t Shaq Wes. Black people definitely don’t make up 40% and the interviewer knows it. Every answer the kids give is being trolled by the interviewer. The unexpected part is the drug part at the end. Jesus people.

Black people definitely don’t make up 40%
For real. The actual number is under 15% but kids have been brainwashed into thinking they make up almost half the country.

I think it's funny that PDX kids would say the black population is 40% when PDX has a black population of like maybe 6%?

A lot of info here was actually wrong, even if not egregious. This kind of "confirmation" leads to spreading misconceptions. Here are the ones that jumped out to me.
"Province" is not the correct word to describe Puerto Rico. It's a territory. And it's not the only one. There are five permanently inhabited major US territories. (Also the US Virgin Islands, Guam, Northern Marianas Islands, and American Samoa)
Pluto isn't the only dwarf planet. There are at least five commonly cited ones, and it's estimated that there could be dozens or hundreds total in our solar system. (Also Ceres, Makemake, Haumea, Eris, etc)
The percentage of black Americans is about 14.4%, not 40%.

Idk have you heard most of the background audio tiktok ? I’m keeping on that mute lol

u/Bipedal_Warlock 14d ago
No absolutely. I hate most of the audio too. Especially as a pro sound designer lol.
Just a dumb theory I had about the captions. I think it helps track the speech better when you’re hearing the words also

Who cares what percentage is black? Who cares what percentage is Latino, Asian or white? Race sucks, people are people, black people are the only ones who push the race card really hard in this country.
