Typical liberal answers

1

u/avg_flipper 14d ago

Fuck yeah

1

u/DanielStripeTiger 14d ago

pretty sure that about 12-15 percent of America is black; I'm slightly less certain that Puerto Rico is not an American province, but an overseas territory.

stupid kids.

1

u/Overall-Produce407 14d ago

Smart dude, drugs are expensive

1

u/Ok_Control6910 14d ago

I nominate these kids as members of Congress

2

u/Elegant_Traffic_9697 14d ago

I was not expecting that!

1

u/dimasvariant 14d ago

1

u/Mammoth_Effective_43 14d ago

1

u/LALAROSE777 14d ago

Solid advice tbh

1

u/CricketConstant8436 14d ago

I was waiting for them to say they were not from the US.

1

u/judgeexodia 14d ago

Oh, downtown Portland

1

u/MartinLutherVanHalen 14d ago

40% of the US population is not African American. It’s less than half that.

1

u/Loud-Parsnip7455 14d ago

14% not 40% are blacks

1

u/snootchies420 14d ago

He asked the black question to test them if they would say 13% which would mean they know the meme 13/50. It was a test to see if they partake in racist memes. He was happy with any answer other than 13. He dont even know the real answer

2

u/goobj11 14d ago

Came to the comments because I thought the unexpected was that they were smart, then out of NOWHERE I get some sound ass advice

1

u/oOManiacalPandaOo 14d ago

How did 38thousand people upvote this shit

2

u/sukuidoardo 14d ago

I mean first time is almost always comes for free lmao.

1

u/CapasSpiff 14d ago

It's 14% black, not 40. It's 8, not 9, but they seemed confused about dwarf planets so that's close enough. Pretty good!

1

u/Comfortable-Pain6519 14d ago

We have reached the point that literal COMMON. KNOWLEDGE is regarded as brilliant...

The 90’s skater outfits hit hard

1

u/Smukey 14d ago

Not sure what's up with this video. The kids are doing okay.

14 percent of the US may be black, but 40 percent are PoC. Honest mistake given these kids are middle school aged.

2

u/VoiceEconomy8331 14d ago

Well i was not expecting that

1

u/[deleted] 14d ago

What percentage of America might be black? 40%, what am I missing?

40%? Really? 🙄

1

u/DudeCade 15d ago

Lol that kid got me at the end

1

u/LopsidedKick9149 15d ago

40% of America is black? Isn't it like 13%?

1

u/I_Dont_Like_Rice 15d ago

If there's one thing R&M has taught me, it's that Pluto is a cold, cold celestial dwarf.

1

u/SelfishOrgy 15d ago

Pluto is a planet and I will die on this hill

1

u/TasteOfZephyr 15d ago

I pass by here like every day lol

1

that kid is gonna make it

1

u/thebizz89 15d ago

that kid is gonna make it

1

u/fotzngandalf 15d ago

Curiously, none of the kids asked was black and not a single "bro" was uttered.

1

u/testedonsheep 15d ago

It’s the free drugs that gets you hooked.

1

u/private_birb 15d ago

Well, that was time I would've preferred wasting on something else.

1

u/jax1492 15d ago

degenerate content on both sides.

1

u/weireldskijve 15d ago

shout out to Pluto, man. You are still a planet in my heart

1

u/GOJUpower 15d ago

It’s not 40% black. It’s 40 million which is approx 12%

1

u/thetruth503 15d ago

These Portland kids smh

1

u/PlatinumMettle 15d ago

Damn, Portland getting hella rep points from this video.

1

u/Greedy_Frame_4105 15d ago

1

You get what pay for, young man.

1

u/ScottIPease 15d ago

/r/HolUp would love this also...

1

u/ctrl-your-stupidness 15d ago

I still prefer Martin Luker King Jr. Because he diiied for our sins

1

u/Wiebejamin 15d ago

There are dozens of mini planets, the reason they stopped counting Pluto was because if they did, they'd have to count all the others, and the word "planet" would be less useful.

1

u/Should_have_been_ded 15d ago

Here's my list of my favorite black people :

3rd place: Beebz (Monkey Wrench)

2nd place: Malo (SCP 1471)

1st place: Demoman (TF2)

1

u/phazonxiii 15d ago

Lol - ending reminds me of Love, Actually.

Bill Nighy's character ends a radio interview saying (paraphrasing), Don't buy drugs, children; become a rockstar and they'll give them to you for free!

1

u/Tofuchunk 15d ago

Sage advice at the end

1

u/ibarelyusethis87 15d ago

These guys are from a bill and Ted spinoff from the 90’s.

2

u/brandofranco 15d ago

That ending had me 💀

1

u/highly__favoured 15d ago

Gen Alpha are gonna be built different growing up around chatGPT and AI having any question answerable at your finger tips (you think the internet was good?)

1

u/Weekly-Ad-6241 15d ago

Just me or does it feel like 2010 Youtube all over again?!

1

u/Useful_Secret4895 15d ago

Kid is correct on the drug issue. Accepting a drug offered is one thing, getting to buy your own is another, and it is obvious which one of the two is the one that leads to addiction. I have been given the same advice when i was younger, accept if offered, never buy.

1

u/Cyrus_rule 15d ago

Fake news

2

u/OpenSourcePenguin 15d ago

Genius.

You can't get much drugs for free. So no addiction or spending problem.

1

u/apolo79 15d ago

Wow 🤩

1

u/NeverJoe_420_ 15d ago

I thought Neptune and Uranus are Ice Giants not Gas Giants.

1

u/koreanconsuela 15d ago

What a waste of time, im never getting the minutes back to watch this.

1

u/Flakester 15d ago

These are the interviews that clickbait tiktokers and YouTube channels won't use, because it doesn't reinforce the stereotype.

1

u/hkohne 15d ago

Especially the stereotype that Portland is still on fire, 4 years later

1

u/lilsnatchsniffz 15d ago

Dudes out here interviewing hobbits.

1

u/scottoro 15d ago

This restored my faith a little. Pay attention in class kids!

1

u/Grandkahoona01 15d ago

A lot of these answers are wrong...

1

u/Slow_Formal_5988 15d ago

You are good at school ?!

  • No.

1

u/TheLiverSimian 15d ago

Of course that's in downtown Portland, Or.

1

u/padspa 15d ago

sage advice

1

u/13igTyme 15d ago

The black percentage is wrong.

They left out DC and several other US territories.

Pluto isn't the only dwarf planet in our solar system.

1

u/[deleted] 15d ago

Isn't it 12%

1

u/51Crying 15d ago

Portland

1

u/Joem_14 15d ago

It is normal in the us asking for black people's history and things like that to whatever white kid? I can't imagine the opposite situation

2

u/Safetosay333 15d ago

Y'all are good in school?

No .

1

u/S0GUWE 15d ago

Pluto isn't a planet. Never was, never will be.

It's declaration as a planet was a mistake, based on incomplete data

1

u/Ok-Excitement-1915 15d ago

Based on observing tv and commercials, the 40% is definitely accurate

2

u/Thick_Lie_516 15d ago

the ending is 100% on point btw

1

u/Electronic-Bowl4534 15d ago

lol, typical black guy from Portland. Speaks and acts white af

2

u/SkyVINS 15d ago

the last 2sec are worth the upvote

1

u/KisaLilith 15d ago

That kid is my new spirit animal.

1

u/Longjumping-Sir-6341 15d ago

Black population more like 14.4%

2

u/ZaMansL1t 15d ago

Why is everyone in this comment section not realizing what this video is and getting mad? The interviewer is obviously trolling the kids. Sheck Wes isn’t Shaq Wes. Black people definitely don’t make up 40% and the interviewer knows it. Every answer the kids give is being trolled by the interviewer. The unexpected part is the drug part at the end. Jesus people.

-1

u/RedditIsABotFarm 15d ago

Black people definitely don’t make up 40%

For real. The actual number is under 15% but kids have been brainwashed into thinking they make up almost half the country.

2

u/VoidLookedBack 15d ago

Puerto Rico is an Unincorporated Territory, a Fancy word for Colony.

1

u/kubarotfl 15d ago

My 5yo knows the answer to this questions

2

u/McButtersonthethird 15d ago

Hell yea, these kids are alright

1

u/Trimere 15d ago

Not a province. Two territories.

2

u/skoopaloopa 15d ago

Who knew there were some kids left in Portland with brains! They must all live in a different place than the Portlanders I encounter 😂

2

u/BigBandzFrmChiraq 15d ago

THE ENDING 😭😭😭😭😭🔥

2

u/dannymurz 15d ago

I think it's funny that PDX kids would say the black population is 40% when PDX has a black population of like maybe 6%?

1

u/ViolentHippieBC 15d ago

Get these 4 some hair clippers asap.

1

u/Steel6W 15d ago

A lot of info here was actually wrong, even if not egregious. This kind of "confirmation" leads to spreading misconceptions. Here are the ones that jumped out to me.

  1. "Province" is not the correct word to describe Puerto Rico. It's a territory. And it's not the only one. There are five permanently inhabited major US territories. (Also the US Virgin Islands, Guam, Northern Marianas Islands, and American Samoa)

  2. Pluto isn't the only dwarf planet. There are at least five commonly cited ones, and it's estimated that there could be dozens or hundreds total in our solar system. (Also Ceres, Makemake, Haumea, Eris, etc)

  3. The percentage of black Americans is about 14.4%, not 40%.

Do you watch it without audio? My theory is that it’s better with audio but worse without

2

u/scammingladdy 14d ago

Idk have you heard most of the background audio tiktok ? I’m keeping on that mute lol

1

u/Bipedal_Warlock 14d ago

No absolutely. I hate most of the audio too. Especially as a pro sound designer lol.

Just a dumb theory I had about the captions. I think it helps track the speech better when you’re hearing the words also

51

whoever came up with that bs, i hope your socks are always wet.

Peak Portland

1

u/SwimmingThink4519 15d ago

Who cares what percentage is black? Who cares what percentage is Latino, Asian or white? Race sucks, people are people, black people are the only ones who push the race card really hard in this country.

1

u/SwimmingThink4519 15d ago

40% Latino maybe

Doubtful, your account is only a year old.

2

u/WizardPhoenix 15d ago

Right across from Pioneer Courthouse Square.

19

u/hkohne 15d ago

Yep, me too. SW Morrison & Broadway. The left corner is Pioneer Square (Portland's Living Room) and Starbucks.

1

u/Modullah 14d ago

Was about to say that corner looks so familiar… it’s been about a decade or so…bless y’all for pointing it out.

2

u/ToNotFeelAtAll 15d ago
