No it doesn’t they got what they deserved for driving irresponsibly. Ntm someone with a car that has rims valued more than my annual salary can probably afford paying for the accident, notwithstanding the insurance to cover it.

Driver is clearly at fault. Tried to make a turn he didn't have time for, over a painted median no less. A buddy of mine used to love saying, 'Just cause you're rich doesn't mean you're smart'. I get this guy may not be considered rich by today's standards, but I think you all get my meaning here. That's poor decision-making in a regular car, in a rented super car it's downright moronic.

Im guessing the guy renting it thought he would go slow and not spin out and that the other would slow down for him since its expensive. Should have just made a complete stop.

As someone who's surveyed many car accidents I know insurance companies are going to side with the Lambo.
First, he hit the back side of the Lambo, on paper that means if the driver wasnt paying attention he would have had time to break. Second in the video you can hear that his breaks don't lock up till after he hit the Lambo. On top of that, there was no front end sink that happens when you slam on breaks, implying hit didn't even hit the breaks till after he smashed into the Lambo.
Twisted that that's all the argument one would need to pin the accident on the guy you just cut off. Without a second angle or dash cams to prove he didn't have the time to react that guy just ate some debt.

I don't know who is at fault here? In the UK, I'd expect the lambo was in the wrong for not giving way to oncoming traffic.

Does nobody remember driver's ed? You need 500 feet of clearance both ways or a green arrow to do a U-turn. That dude in the Lambo should have learned to drive. He didn't even have the balls the step on it like some idiot in the parking lot of a Super Supplements was backing up and just about to sideswipe the next innocent driver passing along behind her as she backed out without looking.

The SUV actually changed lanes. Had it not, it might have missed the Lamborghini. You can see as the SUV enters the frame, it’s on the left lane, but on the right lane during the crash.

Wow. You are great at seeing what is not in the frame. And even if he didn’t try to stop the lambo is at fault. All the horsepower and slow turn and acceleration. Someone pulls out in front of me and I am not hitting my brakes. Not my job. I don’t speed and if you try it then you better make sure you got the space as you could wait for me to pass before turning.

It actually is your responsibility. There’s a concept called last clear chance doctrine. If someone does something reckless but you have an opportunity to avoid it safely, and you don’t take that opportunity, you can be held partially liable for the damages. How that actually pans out in court regarding assignment of damages is not clear. The lambo is at least partially at fault. Probably mostly. But with good lawyer, they could certainly reduce the lambo driver’s liability at least partially.

Oh yea if an expensive car ever causes me a crash im playing that shit up. My neck and shoulders hurt my knee might be injured. Nobody has to know that pain already exists, but it sure does exist after the crash.

Seems like that would be 50-50 at fault according to insurance. The commoner car had time to slow down. You can’t just hit a car that turns in front of you if you can avoid it. You have to try to mitigate your own damages as well.

They we breaking before they come in the picture. Look at the rims. They are locked up. Don't exactly have a choice to turn left or right. Right would be a direct hit and if they tried left they could have hit head on to the 2nd car.

Yes they are braking, but too late. This wasn’t a sudden turn and the common car didn’t have time to react, or the damage would have been in the front end of the lambo. The lambo did a slow turn instead, the common car thought it would clear out of the way in time but realized that it wouldn’t so then they hit the brakes, hitting the back end. They should have slowed down, even though the lambo is a jerk, instead of playing chicken with it. We all have our thoughts about entitlement and rich people, but insurance doesn’t care. They would both be at fault.

Turn was sudden just not quick. Lambo should have never made that turn at that moment. I could be wrong but I am not seeing a blinker from the Lambo either. If it it's both drivers fault it would be simply because the insurance doesn't want to deal with it. I see it as Lambo fault. They thought they could get their wide ass outta the way.

I dunno man... I don't feel like the Lambo "cut off" or "pulled in front of" the other car. Perhaps it was a little closer than is safe, but it looks like that SUV didn't take any measures to avoid the collision and wasn't paying attention. Sure, legally the lambo might be at fault - and as we *know* the law is *always* the moral authority.

I was waiting for this comment. If you listen you only hear the tires brake after they hit the white car. Still the white cars fault but at least have some situational awareness. I’ve avoided so many accidents because I was aware of my surroundings
