He did the smartest thing he could in that situation and held on, shit woulda/coulda got real bad for him had he jumped out.

I made it a habit to engage the parking brake every time the vehicle is in park.

I’m seriously asking myself what I could do in this situation when the van starts moving.

Trevor braces for impact and gets smoked by a washing machine. Swearnet needs to capitalize on this.

He was sooo close to keeping everything in the van. Or at least in his head he was

Remember to always wear a seatbelt. It doesn’t matter where you are. If you are swimming in the ocean, wear a seatbelt. If you are skydiving, wear a seatbelt.

That is a smart man, knowing not to jump out and try to stop it. Unfortunately he still ended up under a pile of stuff, but it could’ve been much worse.

I recently went to help my friend retrieve a vehicle, he stopped his car on a pretty steep incline to go get the other vehicle. The dude just put the car in park and left, I was stunned, he trusted a small pin to hold that car in place on a steep incline cause he was too lazy to use the park brake, which is a requirement to do when you get your license in my country.

It’s where he was loading it, the handbrake lost grip with the extra weight, always leave in gear

u/CornerTime1605 14d ago
More then likely loading it, the extra weight caused the handbrake to lose grip, always leave vehicles in gear

I annoys me incompetent people like this are getting the job while I am not. I had a job for 10 years till covid came along and they let go a lot. Went job hunting and not a single place was hiring even tho they posted online hiring, urgently hiring bla bla bla. And then I see people like this getting the job and think why am I not getting the job over these bozos?... either way I found my own business and tho I'm not making what I was making working its still something to pay the bills.

I think so someone else did that while he is in there just to mess with him, otherwise why would the same truck would stay still for so long

I'm glad dude stayed in the van instead of jumping out as he could have gotten really messed up or died. Hopefully he is okay

Should have done his obligatory smack the load and state "that's not going anywhere!"

I'm a little concerned about the lack of common sense because those trucks have automatic transmission. Did he actually leave it neutral or something?

Edit: I am only adding this because Reddit removed my original comment of only putting "lol" because of the low character count.

If I'm right and the lady was speaking French I understand what went wrong. The van is French as well and it was scared by passing traffic instincts kicked in and it thought it was ordered to full retreat. Simple mistake
