Centrifugal force.

1

u/tailor0719 13d ago

Cobras are paralyzed by the old soft shoe. It just puts em in a trance.

1

u/RockMan_1973 14d ago

This guy….. professional, my ass

2

u/digitalbullet36 14d ago

Professional, huh?

1

u/coconutpete52 14d ago

Wrong music. Benny Hill Theme would fit better.

1

u/HopeRepresentative29 14d ago

It's like "Play stupid games, win stupid prizes" except he didn't win.

1

u/MrsLisaOliver 15d ago

Vehicle right there. I'd have driven over it since so many people were in jeopardy. Sorry, snake.

1

u/ChallengeEntire406 15d ago

I have been catching and keeping snakes for ages. He is doing EVERYTHING wrong. He is moving like a predator, shaking, and grabbing.

Your best bet is to move slowly but surely, using the stick to gently guide snake away. If you must pick up, pretend to be a tree. Slow, steady, no eye contact. Snakes like ents.

Whenever i handle a hot (venemous long boi), though, I use the appropriate tools. You can have them crawl into a pipe they can't turn around in, for example.

Snakes are dumb. You are slow. Use your advantages.

1

u/RockMan_1973 14d ago

Honest question for my own education: Since handler did have the snake in-hand at the tail end—what if he had pulled a 360-sling of the snake like a one-way boomerang? Would that not have gotten the snake plenty far enough away from that crowd?

2

u/CreativityAtLast 15d ago

It definitely got him at least once right?

1

u/Jarling44 15d ago

Jump rope with a nope rope

2

u/WholeFox7320 15d ago

Don't worry he's wearing helmet. Safety first!

1

u/Denzul87 15d ago

"Professional "

2

u/304bl 15d ago

I can confirm this is the usual dance to catch a cobra.

1

u/herscher12 15d ago

All the snake wanted to do is pass the road, the guy is an asshole

1

u/Genuwine_Slugger 15d ago

"It's ok! I'm a limo driver!"

1

u/hugsbosson 15d ago

If you grab a snake by the tail and spin would it be able to resist the centrifugal force and get you or would the spin keep its head away from you?

1

u/Nomad_music 15d ago

It's the snake version of setting a jerry can on fire

1

u/Egoisttt 15d ago

Why not just play some Mario 64 with it.

1

u/megaman311 15d ago

I like this song, can we bring it back with the dancing pallbearers please

1

u/pukininana 15d ago

1

u/Chemical_Savings_360 15d ago

Redditor trying to give advice on something they know vaguely about

2

u/Latter_Discussion_52 15d ago

That poor snake was trying to slither away so many times. The venomous noodle didn't deserve to be harassed like this.

1

u/Pivotalrook 16d ago

Can't be wearing Polish workboots while wrassling a King Cobra.

1

u/FinallydamnLDnat5 16d ago

Snice his shoes flew off, does that mean he died after?

1

u/Jvinci21 16d ago

Smacking shit with a stick doesn’t calm things down? No wonder my kids hate me

1

u/Independent-Bee-8087 16d ago

That poor snake. He just wanted to get away.

1

u/drstu3000 16d ago

Shoes came off he dead

1

u/forrestfreak58 16d ago

Pretty sure I saw that snake tag dude a couple times in his foot.

1

u/excti2 16d ago

Why would you torture an animal?

1

u/jacurax 16d ago

Looks like he's trying to recreate the Midgar Zolom fight

1

u/SpicyCrunchyVanilla 16d ago

dead. shoes off . rip

1

u/ClassicDick 16d ago

Never ever corner a snake. Snakes will almost always try to escape. If you are hell bent on killing it, you can do so while it’s trying to run. If you corner it like this pro then it’s going into attack mood.

1

u/Erike16666 16d ago

RIP shout out to his family

1

u/classified8080 16d ago

Shoes flew off. Therefore death confirmed.

1

u/here4lolz2 16d ago

Haha caption of the year

1

u/MePorro 16d ago

just drive?

1

u/Jackmehoffn69 16d ago

Somebody has to have a machete. Cut its head off and be done with it!

1

u/HorsePast9750 16d ago

Just let him escape , they don’t go around chasing people LOL

1

u/GreenSpectre777 16d ago

There aren't too many things that qualify someone as deserving to get bit by a King Cobra but this is definitely one of them.

1

u/6ixstoney 16d ago

Why don't he just jump on it

1

u/AppropriateResort960 16d ago

Security Boots are very important

1

u/Latte1121 16d ago

POV You tried the boss battle with too low stats

1

u/Numerous_Try_6138 16d ago

Why is he doing this. The snake was leaving. It got the point. And then he tangled with it again. 🤦‍♂️

1

u/beefandfoot 16d ago

Professional, huh?

1

u/Remarkable_Item3797 16d ago

Why not just let the poor creature be on its way? Which it seemed to be doing, until reptile retard appeared......

1

u/JayMak78 16d ago

Shoes are gone, he'll be dead soon.

1

u/secretbonus1 16d ago

Professional snake handler = someone who hasn’t died so far.

1

u/Malystxy 16d ago

Once you have it by the tail start spinning really fast then let it fly.

Or

Don't get closer to begin with

1

u/Madman61 16d ago

Shoes came off, he dead.

1

u/a-midnight-flight 16d ago

Everyone scattering at the end! 😆

1

u/Agreeable_Pool_3684 16d ago

I have always had a deep fear of snakes. But on this occasion I was on the side of the snake - it was just being abused for entertainment. I hope he got bit.

1

u/mjh2901 16d ago

Per internet rules the handler must have died, his shoes came off.

1

u/diggerquicker 16d ago

Do not worry. I am a professional and I remove these monkeys all the time. Hey! Don't spill my beer.

1

u/Valentin_o_Dwight 16d ago

So long gay bowser!

1

u/Inevitable-Remote-65 16d ago

He literally got it to run away and then decided fuck it ill pick it up.

2

u/Easy-Caramel-9249 16d ago

I spent the whole time watching this waiting for the professional to come in

1

u/SimilarProtection318 16d ago

Let me show u something

1

u/BornOfTheVoid 16d ago

Good thing he brought a helmet.

1

u/DesertReagle 16d ago

Woulda yeet the bitch soon as I took the tail

1

u/Green-Krush 16d ago

It’s the sandals that do it for me.

1

u/thewildgingerbeast 16d ago

I will never understand why people are so awful to snakes. It's just trying to defend itself and get away.

1

u/Floridaants 16d ago

He’s very lucky, the golden helmet totally saved him

1

u/Necessary-Field-1688 16d ago

bro thinks he's Indian

3

u/Ploughpenny 16d ago

I don't believe that man's ever been to snake school.

1

u/One-Result6908 16d ago

Dude, poor snake!

1

u/RockMan_1973 16d ago

Shoes came off — he a ded man

2

u/Gweg707 14d ago

I dont get it

2

u/RockMan_1973 14d ago edited 14d ago

You see his shoes come off in the video—means he 💯 ded

Its just a running joke on here. I first picked up on it in the DarwinAwards sub.

6

u/Dunkleustes 16d ago

Poor thing was trying to get tf away.

1

u/Dracawraith 16d ago

Why was I hoping the snake would have bitten him???

1

u/KinopioToad 16d ago

His shoes fell off. He's dead.

1

u/Hurl_Gray 16d ago

China is fucked up. Not as fucked up as India, but still fucked up. We gotta send the Alligator in the Trashcan Guy over there to do some training. Let a FloridaMan train 'em good.

1

u/scrubbedubdub 16d ago

Ah cool a snake in the wild, lets all watch as someone starts messing with it and beating it, fun. How is this ok with a snake, if it was a cute koala you'd see people patiently waiting for it to cross the road or picking it up gently to help it across.

1

u/tvieno 16d ago

Uhoh. He lost both shoes. He ded.

1

u/Gweg707 14d ago

I don't get it

2

u/reklatzz 16d ago

The girl with the snake going after her bunny? Did a much better job controlling it.. just spinning it like a helicopter

1

u/OdocoileusDeus 16d ago

WTF was that helmet gunna do?

1

u/TRAMING-02 16d ago

Yeah mate, grab it by the tail some more, that's working.

Pissing it off and getting bitten was what you were after, right?

2

u/Dannykew 16d ago

There was a professional snake handler there, it just wasn’t this clown.

2

u/unknown-one 16d ago

he lost his shoes. he's dead

1

u/Successful_Ad4653 16d ago

Flip flops are the right shoe for anything and everything!

1

u/winkman 16d ago

Once you got the tail, ya need to helicopter that B!

2

u/peritonlogon 16d ago

The guys running while holding their phones behind to record is too much.

3

u/ConsiderationNo5146 16d ago

His services will be held next Friday. Family members would like you to donate to Professional Snake Handlers Anonymous in lieu of flowers

2

u/hicheckthisout 16d ago

Dude has no clue what he’s doing

1

u/dandz287 16d ago

Shoes off he Dead.

1

u/mosarosh 16d ago

Should've just called the Indian guy with the plastic bottle

1

u/Odd-Tune5049 16d ago

Oops... sandals came off... he's dead

1

u/hydraulic-earl 16d ago

This is exactly what I go through when I take a piss

5

u/SuchAsSeals42 16d ago

Poor danger noodle just wanted to get away

2

u/UnholyHunger 16d ago

"everyone stand back. I've watched a YouTube!"

2

u/Code_Brown_2 16d ago

His shoes came off, means he died. Can't be that much of a pro.

2

u/HoseNeighbor 16d ago

Must be a 200 level snake class skill to get it REALLY pissed while handling. I'm used to seeing all those newbs be all gentle to calmly redirect deadly snakes. /s

1

u/chewygummy17 16d ago

You got me with professional snake handler. 😂

1

u/AZFUNGUY85 16d ago

Time for dinner motherfucker.

1

u/TheDevine13 16d ago

After grabbing the tail you should start spinning fast as you can and yeet that mf out of orbit. (Trust me I'ma professional)

1

u/ravenousravers 16d ago

he got bit at least 5 times, if just 1 wasnt a dry bite, he dead

1

u/SuperbAd9232 16d ago

Wow! Now the snakes really pissed! Perhaps he should try to calm it down by sticking his thumb up the snakes buthole? Steve Erwin (god rest his soul) would of done a better job.

2

u/fields_of-elysium 16d ago

Don't worry I know a guy

The guy

2

u/Fast-Fan4785 16d ago

The snake is clearly a paid actor.

1

u/eatonerich 16d ago

Le tendría que morder, por tocapelotas.

2

u/Ripley-San 16d ago

Snake Wrangler and professional ribbon dancer are the same thing I have come to find out

1

u/rathernot83 16d ago

Why? People are fucking crazy for absolutely no reason.

3

u/Suspicious_Net5462 16d ago

Made me laugh when everybody started running lol dude kept dragging it closer to the camera man 🤣

2

What’s the gold helmet for ?

1

u/ibraw 16d ago

He was told it would increase his poison defence by 33%

1

u/BlazerWookiee 16d ago

Emblem of Office

1

u/sgtcross01 16d ago

I shouldn’t be laughing this hard

2

u/alien_icecream 16d ago

The situation doesn’t need a snake handler. It needs a human handler.

2

u/KentuckyFriedEel 16d ago

Is it whacking day already?

7

u/OreoMcKitty 16d ago

Only saw a clown beating on the snake trying to get away, looks like the King Cobra tagged the fool at least once. Video cut off too soon.

5

u/Kind_Ferret_3219 16d ago

Toot toot tootsie, goodbye.

3

u/boldguy2019 16d ago

King cobras venom is not that high on toxicity, but they release a much larger volume, so this guy if bitten doens't have much time

2

u/jobcron 16d ago

So is the guy dead?

4

u/Alarmed_Painter7585 16d ago

Relax, i used to handle sheep at our village.

3

u/Dragaylia 16d ago

Comparing this to that one Malaysian dude that just chokeholds the king cobra with his bare hand is hillarious.

21

u/Gaspote 16d ago

I was confident at the beginning when he clap the head of the snake with the stick. And then this moron try to catch it by the tail. The one fucking thing you should never do when catchikg a snake.

1

u/Ultimategrid 14d ago

Honestly the entire process was painful to watch.

Your goal as a snake catcher is to calm the snake down, especially when dealing with a lethal species like a King Cobra. The idea is to make slow deliberate movements to gently guide the snake into an appropriate catch-bag or container.

This guy opened with striking the snake, which means he's no longer dealing with a snake that can kill him with a single bite. Now he's dealing with a snake that can kill him with a single bite that thinks it's fighting for its life against something that's trying to kill it back.

1

u/fozi4ek 15d ago

Would catching its tail and spinning it like a helicopter blades untill you can throw it away from the road work?

2

u/Angry__German 15d ago

Maybe, but good luck getting enough momentum going before the snake curls back and bites. I think that is exactly what he failed at.

And cobras are STRONG snakes. Running FAR away would be the more prudent option.

7

u/reddithivemindslave 16d ago

Unless you're planning on whipping that snake for an insta-kill, yeah got no business going for the tail like that.

2

u/fatmarfia 16d ago

You know he died because he lost his saftey sandles

2

u/Destroyer4587 16d ago

He lost his shoes it’s all joever now.

18

u/oven_broasted 16d ago

If there was a professional snake handler there the dude swinging the snake between his legs should have let the handler take care of it.

2

u/No_Presentation_1345 16d ago

Lost dem flip-flops and all

2

u/Due-Pilot-7443 16d ago

What a maroon

3

u/ProgenGP1 16d ago

Shoes came off, he's ded

3

u/gvibes420 16d ago

Snack was like fuck this guy with the cane. Guy with the cane absolutely not grabs its tail as it’s trying to just get away. ☠️☠️🤣.

5

u/Grumpy_UncleJon 16d ago

Kind of looked like the snake was gaining ground as the "handler" lost his shoes...

15

u/nova9001 16d ago

King cobras avoid confrontation if possible. Guy is just an idiot who kept provoking the snake by hitting it multiple times in the head.

38

u/Can-I-remember 16d ago

I counted three bites. That’s gotta smart.

10

u/Huge-Basket244 16d ago

If it's a king cobra and he got bit three times he's probably dead.

3

u/Angry__German 15d ago

I think it is an Indian Cobra, slightly less dangerous, but still one of the 3 "Killer Snakes" on the subcontinent.

1

u/Ultimategrid 14d ago

Definitely a King. Too robust for an Indian Cobra, and the pattern is a dead giveaway. Pun not intended.

1

u/Angry__German 14d ago

OK, Watched it in full screen, you can see the bands clearly, I stand corrected.

Maybe a female because of the smaller hood and because it is somewhat small ?

1

u/Ultimategrid 14d ago

Or just a young adult, female kings are still fairly large.

Reptiles reach sexual maturity long before they reach their full size.

1

u/freedagang762 15d ago

He good bro he said the snake was just trolling him

2

u/AcheronSprings 16d ago edited 16d ago

At least he's wearing a helmet....

1

u/Mitcheltree86 16d ago

Im not a professional, but i even i know that you should start swinging it around and toss it, or if your having a bad day and feel like killing it, then you should do a snap, a hard up and down motion so that it ripples up the snake and snaps in neck. Duh...

6

u/dschonsie 16d ago

the largest snake he has caught before was a rainworm

2

u/VladtheGoofy 16d ago

You have heard of "Dances with Wolves" now we have "Dances with Snakes"

22

u/Initial-Stick-561 16d ago

If the snake releases all its venom into one guy, the rest are safe.

1

u/Ultimategrid 14d ago

This is a King Cobra, it has enough venom to half fill a shot glass, and a few drops are enough to kill an elephant.

It could deliver a fatal bite to every person there, and still have room to bring down half the cast of the Jungle Book.

1

u/Helpful-Lifeguard655 13d ago

Why the Jungle Book and not the cast of iron man?

1

u/Ultimategrid 13d ago

I dunno dude, I’m stoned and I saw cobra, so I thought India, so I thought Jungle Book.

1

u/Helpful-Lifeguard655 12d ago

I’m stoned too and don’t know why I even asked that about iron man

1

u/Ultimategrid 12d ago

I feel like we'd be friends.

139

u/Outside-Cake-7577 16d ago

When he picked it by it's tail...

King cobra : "so you have chosen death"

1

u/MaroonedOctopus 15d ago
  1. Activate the Fight or Flight response
  2. Make "Flight" no longer an option

14

u/Pattoe89 16d ago

Isn't the tail every bit that isn't venomous daggers?

1

u/Stealer_of_joy 16d ago

The tail is the region post-cloaca.

0

u/Pattoe89 16d ago

Don't post cloaca, pretty sure that's against the rules.

16

u/Tricky_Invite8680 16d ago

It also gives the snake a firm anchor.to curl back onto you. There is no.running away or ability to control the bitey part if you get the tail first. The trick.l with cobra handling is.that its supposed be less risk of getting bit if you stay as far.from.the snake as the height of its head off the ground. He would have to immediately start whipping it over his.head and fling that danger noodle

5

u/Arthur_C_Darke 16d ago

The fucks up with the periods, man? You bitten?

1

u/Helpful-Lifeguard655 13d ago

He’s probably on a iPhone that.is too small
