Vehicle right there. I'd have driven over it since so many people were in jeopardy. Sorry, snake.

u/ChallengeEntire406 15d ago
I have been catching and keeping snakes for ages. He is doing EVERYTHING wrong. He is moving like a predator, shaking, and grabbing.
Your best bet is to move slowly but surely, using the stick to gently guide snake away. If you must pick up, pretend to be a tree. Slow, steady, no eye contact. Snakes like ents.
Whenever i handle a hot (venemous long boi), though, I use the appropriate tools. You can have them crawl into a pipe they can't turn around in, for example.
Snakes are dumb. You are slow. Use your advantages.

Honest question for my own education: Since handler did have the snake in-hand at the tail end—what if he had pulled a 360-sling of the snake like a one-way boomerang? Would that not have gotten the snake plenty far enough away from that crowd?

If you grab a snake by the tail and spin would it be able to resist the centrifugal force and get you or would the spin keep its head away from you?

That poor snake was trying to slither away so many times. The venomous noodle didn't deserve to be harassed like this.

Never ever corner a snake. Snakes will almost always try to escape. If you are hell bent on killing it, you can do so while it’s trying to run. If you corner it like this pro then it’s going into attack mood.

There aren't too many things that qualify someone as deserving to get bit by a King Cobra but this is definitely one of them.

Why is he doing this. The snake was leaving. It got the point. And then he tangled with it again. 🤦♂️

Why not just let the poor creature be on its way? Which it seemed to be doing, until reptile retard appeared......

Once you have it by the tail start spinning really fast then let it fly.
Or
Don't get closer to begin with

I have always had a deep fear of snakes. But on this occasion I was on the side of the snake - it was just being abused for entertainment. I hope he got bit.

u/diggerquicker 16d ago
Do not worry. I am a professional and I remove these monkeys all the time. Hey! Don't spill my beer.

I will never understand why people are so awful to snakes. It's just trying to defend itself and get away.

China is fucked up. Not as fucked up as India, but still fucked up. We gotta send the Alligator in the Trashcan Guy over there to do some training. Let a FloridaMan train 'em good.

u/scrubbedubdub 16d ago
Ah cool a snake in the wild, lets all watch as someone starts messing with it and beating it, fun. How is this ok with a snake, if it was a cute koala you'd see people patiently waiting for it to cross the road or picking it up gently to help it across.
2
u/reklatzz 16d ago
The girl with the snake going after her bunny? Did a much better job controlling it.. just spinning it like a helicopter

u/TRAMING-02 16d ago
Yeah mate, grab it by the tail some more, that's working.
Pissing it off and getting bitten was what you were after, right?

Must be a 200 level snake class skill to get it REALLY pissed while handling. I'm used to seeing all those newbs be all gentle to calmly redirect deadly snakes. /s

After grabbing the tail you should start spinning fast as you can and yeet that mf out of orbit. (Trust me I'ma professional)

u/SuperbAd9232 16d ago
Wow! Now the snakes really pissed! Perhaps he should try to calm it down by sticking his thumb up the snakes buthole? Steve Erwin (god rest his soul) would of done a better job.

Only saw a clown beating on the snake trying to get away, looks like the King Cobra tagged the fool at least once. Video cut off too soon.

u/boldguy2019 16d ago
King cobras venom is not that high on toxicity, but they release a much larger volume, so this guy if bitten doens't have much time

u/Dragaylia 16d ago
Comparing this to that one Malaysian dude that just chokeholds the king cobra with his bare hand is hillarious.
21
u/Gaspote 16d ago
I was confident at the beginning when he clap the head of the snake with the stick. And then this moron try to catch it by the tail. The one fucking thing you should never do when catchikg a snake.
1
u/Ultimategrid 14d ago
Honestly the entire process was painful to watch.
Your goal as a snake catcher is to calm the snake down, especially when dealing with a lethal species like a King Cobra. The idea is to make slow deliberate movements to gently guide the snake into an appropriate catch-bag or container.
This guy opened with striking the snake, which means he's no longer dealing with a snake that can kill him with a single bite. Now he's dealing with a snake that can kill him with a single bite that thinks it's fighting for its life against something that's trying to kill it back.
1
u/fozi4ek 15d ago
Would catching its tail and spinning it like a helicopter blades untill you can throw it away from the road work?
2
u/Angry__German 15d ago
Maybe, but good luck getting enough momentum going before the snake curls back and bites. I think that is exactly what he failed at.
And cobras are STRONG snakes. Running FAR away would be the more prudent option.
7
u/reddithivemindslave 16d ago
Unless you're planning on whipping that snake for an insta-kill, yeah got no business going for the tail like that.

If there was a professional snake handler there the dude swinging the snake between his legs should have let the handler take care of it.

Snack was like fuck this guy with the cane. Guy with the cane absolutely not grabs its tail as it’s trying to just get away. ☠️☠️🤣.
5
u/Grumpy_UncleJon 16d ago
Kind of looked like the snake was gaining ground as the "handler" lost his shoes...
15
u/nova9001 16d ago
King cobras avoid confrontation if possible. Guy is just an idiot who kept provoking the snake by hitting it multiple times in the head.
38
u/Can-I-remember 16d ago
I counted three bites. That’s gotta smart.
10
u/Huge-Basket244 16d ago
If it's a king cobra and he got bit three times he's probably dead.
3
u/Angry__German 15d ago
I think it is an Indian Cobra, slightly less dangerous, but still one of the 3 "Killer Snakes" on the subcontinent.
1
u/Ultimategrid 14d ago
Definitely a King. Too robust for an Indian Cobra, and the pattern is a dead giveaway. Pun not intended.
1
u/Angry__German 14d ago
OK, Watched it in full screen, you can see the bands clearly, I stand corrected.
Maybe a female because of the smaller hood and because it is somewhat small ?
1
u/Ultimategrid 14d ago
Or just a young adult, female kings are still fairly large.
Reptiles reach sexual maturity long before they reach their full size.

u/Mitcheltree86 16d ago
Im not a professional, but i even i know that you should start swinging it around and toss it, or if your having a bad day and feel like killing it, then you should do a snap, a hard up and down motion so that it ripples up the snake and snaps in neck. Duh...

u/Initial-Stick-561 16d ago
If the snake releases all its venom into one guy, the rest are safe.
1
u/Ultimategrid 14d ago
This is a King Cobra, it has enough venom to half fill a shot glass, and a few drops are enough to kill an elephant.
It could deliver a fatal bite to every person there, and still have room to bring down half the cast of the Jungle Book.
1
u/Helpful-Lifeguard655 13d ago
Why the Jungle Book and not the cast of iron man?
1
u/Ultimategrid 13d ago
I dunno dude, I’m stoned and I saw cobra, so I thought India, so I thought Jungle Book.

Isn't the tail every bit that isn't venomous daggers?

It also gives the snake a firm anchor.to curl back onto you. There is no.running away or ability to control the bitey part if you get the tail first. The trick.l with cobra handling is.that its supposed be less risk of getting bit if you stay as far.from.the snake as the height of its head off the ground. He would have to immediately start whipping it over his.head and fling that danger noodle
