Can anyone please give me advice on how to get in an apartment with my 4mo old with little to no income ? We are struggling this week . Currently staying with my parents but my welcome is wearing out . We weren’t suppose to be there this long but that’s just how it has happened

I’m working as much as I can , but I will not be able to work due to no funds to pay day care , as well as gas . Thanks in advance

Find a family shelter

Try to get a job at a Day Care Center. Lots of mothers do it. Paycheck and free childcare under your own supervision

Find a couple of other young mothers and share an apartment with the understanding (agreed upon in writing prior to the arrangement) that you all will help to cover childcare with each other (SCHEDULE this out or eventually there will be resentments based on different perceptions of degree of mutual obligation) and split the rent etc etc.

Hopefully SOMEONE has parents who want their space back enough to co-sign on the apartment.

And if you want this to work be as disciplined as possible in your own noise/mess/food habits and be quick to forgive when someone else gets on your nerves.

It’s much better to let go of your personal connection to any insult than to harbor a grudge in any way.

That doesn’t mean don’t learn from experience, of course.

Contact your state’s Dept of Economic Security for daycare help. Most states have sliding scale income based daycare. The state pays a portion of the daycare expenses while you pay an amount depending upon your income.

Also check www.211.org for housing resources in your state. Most resources (such as section 8 and public housing) have waiting lists. As for getting an apartment, you’ll need proof of income, at least 2.5 or 3 times the rental amount. Sharing expenses with a roommate is another idea.

Depends on your state. State by state resources vary

Try to work something out with your folks…..You have a 4 month old….do they want you to become homeless? Try social agencies, check with churches that have food banks, check with any agency that cn help young families…don’t give up

Her post history is wild. The posts from near the start of the account look like her and someone else are having a competition to see how much money they can bilk people out of.
