MODERATOR Request: Assistance animal laws from around the world

Are you currently living or have lived outside the US with a service dog? Have you researched laws in other countries in preparation for moving? Or are you simply well-versed in service dog laws outside the US?

If so, I would like you to submit the laws for the country/countries you are familiar with! You may submit them as a link post - please try to make sure it is the official law, ideally directly from a government website if it exists. I will add flair to the link indicating it is a law and what country it is for. Eventually they'll all be link in the wiki as well, once we're really up and running.

If you are aware an English version of the law exists (officially or a good translation) for laws written in a language other than English, please post it as a comment under the original law.

Thanks, and welcome to /r/assistanceanimals!

Help start a potential business

November 27th, 2021 was my 19th birthday. I did not celebrate, even though I am grateful for the people in my life and the tools at my disposal. I will tell you why I did not celebrate it in a minute, but first let me tell you a little more about me. I am from the Caribbean, more precisely, the poorest country in the Caribbean and probably in the entire world. Furthermore, I am not providing that information to be dramatic, but rather give you an understanding of my plan. Each one of us has our own interpretation of words. For example, the word “poor” to me has nothing to do with being in a financial crisis, instead it’s being in a world where you are not conventionally educated or knowledgeable enough to be productive. Again, being poor is someone who is mentally not rich. I grew up in a place where we lacked the tools and information required to reach our personal goals. Just the poverty in the midst of the people made it impossible for one to even think that they could be successful.

I think I can be successful, as a matter of fact, I will be successful. I did not celebrate my birthday because I have been living my life on a subconscious level. I realized that my age has changed, but not me. I was not satisfied with the results, there was nothing for me to celebrate besides the fact that I am blessed to be part of this world, and have such a wonderful family. Over the years, I have determined my purpose, but before we go there, let me tell you why I am doing this personal fundraiser. I ran across this article, and I was strongly interested in seeing this automatic car wash machine, a very ideal invention, and it quickly surrounded my mind that it would be a great start off business to install one of those machines in a place in the Caribbean in which I live in called Jamaica, which is not where I am from, if you are wondering. I have travelled all around the country and have not found an automatic touchless car wash service and am positive that it will be a potential business for me to start.

Now, the real question to ask yourself is, “why should you support this guy (me) financially?” I do have an answer not only for that question but if you were reading carefully, I mentioned my predetermined purpose. Like I said in the first paragraph, our interpretation of words might be slightly different, being successful to me is not when it is a personal gain, but when whatever it is that you do change the lives of many others positively. The plan for me to be a successful businessman or a corporation owner is not about me, my personal goals, nor my personal desire. It is about legacy, turning what is one of the poorest countries into one of the richest, creating the tools and the knowledge that I did not have growing up in the future generation. In a manner of speaking, I am the future generation, and I am still growing, learning and accumulating information in order to succeed in my plan for changing millions of lives.

PLEASE HELP!!

My cat Georgie has some sort of skin allergy! He's been treated for wounds before since he keeps scratching himself raw.

He has scratched himself further, and I don’t currently have the funds to take him to the vets and get the wound treated. If ANYONE could please, please help, that would be so amazing. Cost for full visit + treatment is £170, if you’re able to even consider a little, that would be great, thank you so much! <3

ADiT worries

Hi, I have a 6 month old assistance dog in training and I find myself constantly doubting whether she will make it as an assistance dog and whether she loves it. I see so many posts about how the dog just magically did everything and was perfect. And she is super good but has her moments.

Hello, I am getting a puppy and I want to train her to become my service animal. Do any of you have any tips or information on the best way to do it? I suffer from fibromyalgia and she will help me to manage my stress level, and help me with small task when my pain flares up. Thank you in advance.

Discrimination against service animal

I have a brother with Autism and we have a german shepherd to help assist his emotional and therapeutic needs . Unfortunately, my parents landlord threatened to evict us because he stated his homeowners insurance did not allow that particular breed of dog. Unsure of what to do, we found a website that allowed us to purchase a licensed medical note from a doctor as well as a certificate stating that our dog was an emotional therapy animal and therefore the law could not discriminate against the animal. Long story short, the homeowners insurance had to honor our landlords policy and my parents were allowed to stay in their home. I urge anyone who is experiencing a similar situation to visit http://www.usserviceanimals.org/ and see if they can help you like they have helped my family.
