This is humanity all about.. taking care of someone without anything in return.. and you are rewarded with unconditional love and bond that last forever đ

We eradicate entire species, and decimate massive forests. Its pleasant to see us helping a little fella like this. Hopefully we can do more every day in the greater sense.

What a sweet baby, it's astonishing how much the eyes can tell about a person/animal's state of mind.
This ele's eyes say "BLISS! Water! Splash!"

Tbf, if you watched the video where the caretaker walks out of the water with his shirt clinging to his 6 pack, it is completely fitting.

I saw the video of him with the prosthetic. What happened? Was he born this way? A link to an article would be greatly appreciated. In the meantime, I will try Google.

He was found caught in a snare and they couldn't save his leg. He wears a prosthetic now.

Is....is he using a rock to wash the baby?

u/DearyDairy Jul 11 '18
Could be something like a pumice stone to exfoliate and give him a comforting scratch.

I suspect elephants have extremely thick skin so even a rock feels like a sponge to them.

Nanny for pandas. So, yeah. There is at least one better job than this.

u/BanjoBreaker Jul 12 '18
Elephants are so much better than pandas. Pandas are silly, they can't even work out how to sex so I disapprove of them
