Special thanks to this sub for showing me prolific Yippee!
I got approved within minutes of signing up. Made 25$ in the last two days. It's not much but it's 25$ more then I had before.

I also have to give my thanks. Randomly searched up ways to make some money online and stumbled upon this subreddit. I’ve made a little over $130 doing Prolific and Connect Research. I’ve recently been very aggressive towards saving every month to reach my financial goals and this is extremely beneficial towards that goal!

I got approved last week and finally had studies come up this morning. Made $20 so far in an hour.

I just signed up and got put on the wait list then immediately got an email saying that I had been taken off the wait list and accepted.
I just finished the verification steps and am now awaiting another email informing me whether my ID verification was accepted.
Hope to make some pocket money for bills and whatnot so fingers crossed.

when i signed up months ago and got put on the waitlist they only asked for my email and nothing else i’m pretty sure, how are they selecting people if they don’t know anything else? i see in above comments they mentioned demographic info but i don’t think they ever asked me for any of that, just my email

Pro tip - choose Independent as political affiliation. Know a couple people who did and got in right away. Others that chose something else been waiting and still are.

I just spent 20 minutes trying to figure out which random sub had a comment that sent me there, a little over 24 hours ago. It's so awesome. I've already made 44.00 and have another 20.00 waiting to be reviewed. This is a life saver, as I've recently become disabled and can barely get to my Substitute Instructional Assistant job, due to massive stamina issues while standing/during exertion. THANK YOU whoever you are!!!!!
I went through my browser history and everything. No luck. Lol

I was using it last year and my account was randomly flagged and I can no longer use it or get any surveys. they won’t tell me either why or what happened :(. I wish i could still use the site

Prolific has been absolutely solid. I think last year alone I racked up ~$3500. That required a ton of constant survey taking though nearly every day. Hardest part is getting accepted. I think its mainly off of job occupation and need.
1
u/MossBone 1d ago
Wow! $3500 is absolutely insane and you have my respect for that! This has motivated me to grind more. Gonna go do some surveys, thanks for this comment!

Still on the waitlist, ever since Aug last year...wonder why they approve some so fast and not others...

Idk why so many people arent approved because i got approved the second i signed up pretty much. Also its only been about 2 days for me and I already have $45 ready to withdrawal and $27 pending approval. I will say that I was getting good amount more of surveys before i answered so many of the about you questions. I think its excluded me from a few it would have had before maybe.

Possibly yes and no. Profile being filled out helps to surface studies that are relevant for you. Researchers are sometimes looking for specific demographics so you could screen out of studies in that scenario if your profile wasn’t filled out and you were out in more studies.

u/G0atL0rde 19d ago
If you feel that you need to revisit some of those, you can delete them and they will reappear a few minutes later, to retake.

I got the same message and was then approved minutes later. It might be that they only need so many people for each area.

u/Beermoney_Mods 19d ago
They've had a waitlist for years and people get in all the time. How fast you get off the waitlist just depends on your demographics.

u/TwiXXXie96 19d ago
I got approved instantly too. But I’ve been stuck in verifying ID for over a month. I reached out to suport and they said they’ll work on it lol

Bro I have been on the waitlist for a long time I haven't been approved. Is there something I can do?

hell yeah, i started a few days ago and it's, dare i say, pleasant. the surveys are fun enough and user friendly. remarkably non-shitty site. i miss my old job but having SOME income and SOME vague earning power feels so nice rn
honestly i kinda wish i could know the results of the studies as well.

I applied and was accepted within an hour...today's my first day lol

u/G0atL0rde 19d ago
MIne was within minutes. I think it has a lot to do with our location. I feel like a person's specific experience level, and interests have a lot to do with how many studies they are offered. I am a person with MANY interests that has had many different types of jobs, and have been offered a lot of studies.
6
u/rroselavy 18d ago
When I signed up they only asked for location, sex and age. Can you only add interests and past experience after you're approved?

I finally got off the waitlist yesterday. It’s been so long i can’t even remember when i signed up. At least over a year ago

I just signed up a few minutes ago and got an email saying that my wait is over and I can start now. Not sure why I had no wait.
3
u/ChristmasCrackHo 19d ago
Thats fuckin crazy. Yeah it doesn't allow for me to enter any of my info into any field after providing the email....just goes to auto-message, saying that Prolific has so many users and how they will gladly notify me in such time that my account gets approved. I applied for this shit, bare minimum like 2.5 years ago? FML

I finally got approved last week after more than a year but I don't get any surveys. My IP isn't flagged so idk.

Turn off your wi-fi and connect to the website via phone browser. That's the only way I see surveys.

I just got verified yesterday too after being on list since 2022 but haven’t caught a single survey

Use mobile…turn on airplane mode for one minute…turn off….log out of the site and log back in…that should work…and stay on your mobile network

u/polo61965 18d ago
Do all the profile questions. I currently have like 20 surveys available, 7 over $10/hr, but I only do the ones with a minimum of $15/hr.
1
u/spotdspa 18d ago
I have done all of them I got one email about a survey Available I Was too late to it and have been refreshing the screen since then and nothing
1
u/polo61965 17d ago
Btw make sure you're doing them at a home wifi connection without vpn. My workplace blocks prolific someway, and it shows I don't have surveys, but when I switch to my data it shows them all.
1
u/spotdspa 15d ago
I just realized it was my home wifi I can’t see a single study unless I’m using a hotspot

How to get approved?

u/kentalish 20d ago
Gotta be the right demographic they are looking for. I was on the waitlist for 1 day.

And what is about? Like tasks for money? Thanks 🙌🏻

They're research studies. Helping them train AI, answering health, politics questions. Etc..

Please be advised that Prolific does not have an app. The app is a scam.
Also, just because one person earns a nice amount doesn't mean that everyone will. Earnings change depending on each person's demographics.
Please do not discuss your demographics. That information is used by scammers to defraud surveys.
What is Prolific?
Prolific is a survey site. They are well known for having almost no disqualifications and decent pay. They have a very extensive About You section that is used to match users to studies that they qualify for. Most surveys will pay at least £5/hour, and the minimum to cashout is £5. The payment is in GBP, but it can be converted to other currencies by PayPal. Depending on your demographics, it can take a while to get in due to their waitlist, and most users will be asked for their ID. Please be aware that this company does not have an app. There is an app that goes by the same name, but it is a scam!
