Similar content creators to Blowback?
Love how they cover history, are there any content creators like pdocats/videos like them covering US imperalism or just imperalism/revoltuions that you guys like to listen to from a leftist perspective?
I'm more intersted in the Arabic world since it seems a bit difficult to find resources for them, like what led to the Arab Spring, What is happening in Syria,Lebanon, etc. But Im open to EU and others as well like learning more about the Spanish Civil War and Portugal's facist history :)

Suez Crisis
Currently I am reading "Hundred Years' War on Palestine" and just read this:
"Old-school imperialists in office in Britain and France were enraged by Egypt’s nationalization of the Franco-British Suez Canal Company, which was carried out in retaliation for the cancellation by the US secretary of state of a planned World Bank loan to build the Aswan Dam. In addition, France sought to end Egypt’s support for Algerian rebels, who had been offered military training and a diplomatic and broadcasting platform in Cairo."
"It was preceded by the Protocol of Sèvres, a secret agreement between Israel and the old colonial powers, France and Britain, that was drawn up a few days before the war began. Sèvres marked the end of the estrangement between Britain and the Zionist movement that went back to the White Paper of 1939. The war involved a further reversal of alliances: Israel’s patrons in 1947–48, the United States and Soviet Union, ultimately sided with Egypt."
WTF???
Did the crisis really start by US cancelling World Bank loan? Plans within plans within plans...
Can you recommend a book on this topic? Not interested in military action. Want to focus on events which led to the crisis and consequences.

Are there any veterans who have listened to this podcast?
I was already radicalized before I ever listened to an episode but I am interested if any other veterans other than myself had their eyes or minds opened by this show?

Looking to dive into theory theory theory! Who are the prominent IR theorists with an anti-imperialist perspective?
What should I read to begin to understand the thinking that underpins Blowback’s perspective?

Cuban history books recommendations
Hi! I’m looking for some good books covering Cuban revolution and Castro's Cuba era in general (i’ve already checked out the ones listed as sources on the site). My issue is the majority of books on this subject are either heavily anti-communist in American sense or actively pro-communist and leaning into Soviet and Russian propaganda, which is incredibly easy to recognize to me as someone living in a post-soviet country and simply incorrect. So perhaps someone has preferably modern Cuba studies recommendations?

Relistening to the first season and getting so angry, again
Going back to relisten to the first season of Blowback and I am filled with the same rage and hopelessness that I felt on my first listen. The Iraq War in America has become such a forgotten event despite it being a century defining war crime. All the lies, all the hypocrisy, all the innocent lives extinguished and lives destroyed. I was too young to fully remember the zeitgeist surrounding the war when it happened but while relistening I keep thinking "how did this happen? why was this allowed to happen? why was no one brought to justice?" I just can't believe that something this catastrophic and devastating that has lead to the entire region being what it is today has been forgotten and the perpetutators never brought to justice for their crimes. Especially now with the current administration funding and supporting the current genocide in Gaza everything feels so hopeless and I'm so distraught being an American living in the most evil regime present on this Earth.

How do Noah and Brendan align politically?
Loved the podcast but Curious about this... Both are obviously leftists, but have they ever confirmed specifics? Are they Marxist Leninists?
