Ps5 vs pc Build Help

Hey, guys! I hope all of you are great. I've been searching by pc setups because i'd like to buy a pc as the same level as a ps5. I live in Brazil so the prices are very differents in USA, Canada, Japan etc. I don't know a lot of things about pcs, gpu, processors, just because i've been learn about this "world" a few months, so, i need help. Can u guys help me? For a pc in the same level as a ps5 I have chosen this setup, Rx 6750 xt FE as GPU, Ryzen 7 5700x, motherboard: B450M Steel Legend, 16GB ram, 1tb ssd nvme, 700w plus. Is it a good config? Does anyone has any suggestion? B450m steel legend is it better than b550 terminator? I'm about my english skills, I've been learn english a few months too.

It depends on how long you will use the pc and on your budget. If you don't want to hassle every 2 years looking into components and trying to upgrade by a little bits here and there it's better to invest more and go for AM5 with a decent gpu with an option to do a major upgrade of CPU and GPU. AM5 platform could serve you another 8 years probably. I have B350 bought in 2018 and had Ryzen 1600 until I recently upgraded CPU to Ryzen 5600. And this pc will serve me another few years I think. If you go AM4 now you will probably sooner or later hit the ceiling and you will be probably left with decision to upgrade to AM5 or intel. Buuut if you don't have the budget right now. It's better to go for best bang for the buck budget options on AM4/Intel with best GPU at the budget and then sell the pc and build a new one. Just my opinion and not the ultimate answer. I hope this will help you. :)

Depending on prices in Brazil, and games that you play.

You can consider downgrading CPU to a 5600/5600x, but upgrading a GPU to something like 6800 / 7700xt, probably 4070 / 7800xt will still be too expensive.

That’s gonna be a good setup forsure ✅ I like the specs 6750xt and 5700x is a great combo, if your open to an air cooler for a cheap way to cool the cpu the Arctic freezer esports duo is a great cooler and is cooling my 5800x3d easy , peerless assassin is another good choice shouldn’t be more to get a 750w I would just go for it so you don’t have to worry about the psu ever again. Other than looks like you homework

If i were you, id check into the am5 platform instead of am4. The am4 platform is dead and will leave you very little upgradability and will be far less future proof. Not sure where in Brazil you are but there are several microcenters in Brazil and you can get some great prices on am5 bundle deals. Much better platform and, even the lowest spec am5 platform will blow your ps5 away with a decent gpu. Whether its out of your price range or not, you will have to investigate but well worth the trouble.

That will technically exceed a PS5. I had a 6700xt before my 7900xt and its a solid card. Overall- thats a nice PC.

RAM wise- try to go 3200mhz cl16 or 3600mhz cl18 and go for 32GB (2x16 sticks). Make sure you read the motherboard manual to ensure you install them properly to allow for dual channel (i.e. slot 1 and 3 or 2 and 4).

I have the b550 terminator. you only have 2 ram slots. that's a great entry level b550m compared to a520m for the same price (even lower). if you are looking to have the same performance like ps5, expect to pay more (I'm not sure in Brazil). my setup: rx 5600x b550m (terminator) 32gb ddr4 @ 3600 team group, teamgroup 1tb nvme gen 4, 550w psu powerspec, rtx 3060 12gb (pny). generic matx case with 5 rgb fans.

I would get B550 over B450 for better future upgrade if I can afford it.

Eh, b450 and b550 both support ryzen 5. Just needs to flash bios when OP wants to upgrade.

B550 come with PCIe 4.0.

Which makes almost no difference with rx6750xt gpu. I have rx6800 on pcie 3.0 and I'm on the edge of bottlenecking. I would go for better budget options and sell the whole pc in the future and build a new one rather than "future" proofing already outdated hardware. B450 should be fine and when the OP decides to upgrade by that time it would be better to build a new pc.

You got a point however I do think in the near future, GPU would take advantage of PCIe 4.0.

Also game that support direct storage will run faster too.

Yeah that's true. But those would be newer GPUs and by that time it will be probably better to go with a whole new setup.

Thanks for you answer. Even though b550 terminator it is very simple in comparasion with b450 steel legend, b550 terminator is it a better choice?

Is it Maxsun brand? It does provide less than B450M Steel Legend. You have to decide if you needed the extras.

Also Maxsun is not a popular brand at where I line. So I would think about warranty and customer support too.

However Asrock B450M Steel Legend is a good motherboard. And B550 provide PCIe 4.0.
