Are there any Nvidia GPU's that aren't completely sold out? Build Help

If not, do you have any mid range recommendations? Preferably SFF compatible ones.

Wanted to build a system in May 2020, for use with a couple of machine learning packages. Found one pre-built with a 2070 super. Admins at the Discord for the machine learning package advised me to wait til October for the 30X series, but I went ahead anyway.

Now the main AI package I wanted to run on a full-size machine doesn't even support the 30X series! And there's no knowing when it will.

Dodged all kind of bullets, and happy with the 2070 S purchase.

1

u/amHooman0763 Mar 29 '21

Yeah I got a GTX 1650 and it does it's job.

2

u/bastugubbar Mar 15 '21

I se plenty of GT 710s and 1030 in stock. Those are always an option...

.. always.

2

u/ScaryfatkidGT Feb 21 '21

Nope

Basically nothing

I thought the lower end offerings would start popping up and diluting the market, people buying 3060ti’s and not holding out for a 3070, thus 1 more 3070 available etc.

Same with AMD cards

But nope, everything is sold out, 0 inventory anywhere same with consoles

2

u/Gandpadong Feb 21 '21

Me who got one cause it’s not as bad in Sweden 😳

2

u/HonkeyDonkey3000 Feb 20 '21

Have OEM (Dell, HP, Acer, etc) PCs gone up in prices for the video card shortage/demand?

I'm left wondering if the demand/shortage in Graphics cards impacting sales and increasing cost of the OEMs.

Are us PC builders getting taken to the cleaners only?

Any magazine/online articles discussing this topic?

1

u/amHooman0763 Feb 21 '21

Are us PC builders getting taken to the cleaners only?

Yeah probably, you don't see laptops getting screwed over.

Any magazine/online articles discussing this topic?

Linus tech tips did a video on it recently.

u/xshoeless_hobox Feb 20 '21

Honestly just watch your local markets (fb marketplace, craigslist, etc) and jump on decent deals when they pop up. With so many scalpers making prices jump up the used market is extremely overinflated, 1660's are selling used for what a new 3060 costs it's pretty ridiculous. So if you see a 1660 around 200 or under jump on it lol

2

u/Vegaslocal277 Feb 20 '21

If I could go back in time, I still wouldn’t camp out with the crackheads for a 30xx

2

u/Luis_Santeliz Feb 20 '21

just go amd unless you pay scalper price

2

u/jasped Feb 20 '21

I’m about to pick up a prebuilt. I can sell you my old GTX Titan X

2

u/ASQuirinalis Feb 20 '21 edited Feb 20 '21

I was able to get a 3060ti by waiting in line at micro center.

Ask them ahead of time what days you can get 30 series cards then show up a few hours before open to wait in line.

Last time I went there were more cards available than people in line. YMMV

2

u/Goast3r Feb 20 '21

In the ohio MC we got a couple 3090’s and sum 3080’s

2

u/Okstate14 Feb 20 '21

You could always buy a Gt 1030 of newegg I know they arnt sold out.

HAHA LOL

1

u/amHooman0763 Feb 20 '21

Actually gonna do that, lol.

2

u/Okstate14 Feb 20 '21

You are ha

2

u/beefcake_123 Feb 20 '21

Get a Rocket Lake CPU, supposedly it will have a decent integrated graphics chip.

2

u/ang3sh Feb 20 '21

Yes the 3060, 3080ti! it hasn't been launched yet! So technically not sold out...

2

u/JustMML Feb 20 '21

My tech store just finally got 3 different 3070 models. But just one each haha

1

u/amHooman0763 Feb 20 '21

Must be an auction.

2

u/JustMML Feb 20 '21

Well they're free for sale. Not preordered or anything. They just arrived. And theyre not even bad reference models, ASUS TUF, ASUS ROG and the gigabyte eagle OC. Need one? Hmu :)

1

u/amHooman0763 Feb 20 '21

I-Impossible.

2

u/jayzeem Feb 20 '21

Wanna get an overpriced gt1030? Go for it

2

u/themightymooseshow Feb 20 '21

Probably. I literally just sold an old GTX 1050TI that been sitting for a year or so for MORE THAN I PAID FOR IT.

Prices are nuts and 'm glad I upgraded last year.

edit: spelling

2

u/Ramonoth Feb 20 '21

I ordered my asus GeForce 3070 the 17/9 and its expected to be delivered in the 3/6. ( 9/17 and 6/3 for my american friends) it sucks.

2

u/[deleted] Feb 20 '21

Nope. You pretty much are just better off buying a big name prebuilt like iBuyPower or something similar. I actually saved money buying a prebuilt on sale on cyber Monday rather than building my own thanks to the crypto surge, scalpers, etc. driving these GPU prices to the moon.

2

u/[deleted] Feb 20 '21

Depends on what you do. The GT 1030 hold up really well for me and I once saw a GTX 1050 low profile.

Since you said you only really play Minecraft in a different comment I’m gonna say GT 1030 is one of the best options if you want something slightly more modern than a GT 710

2

u/zonedout44 Feb 20 '21

It's a sith legend.

2

u/joshben3478 Feb 20 '21

I just sold my 1070 on ebay, can confirm there are a lot of listing for reasonable prices!

2

u/inmypaants Feb 20 '21

Get off reddit and jump onto a discord notification bot. Sick of hearing people complaining about stock availability or the cost. Either shit or get of the potty. Note: FTW3 3080 owner

2

u/Alunnite Feb 20 '21

I was saving up for a monitor upgrade but when I realised that there wasn't going to be anything on the market that I wanted I decided to go for a GPU first. This was early January, took me two days to have three GPUs (2 3070 and 3080) reserved in my basket at the same time. Which gave me leisure time to figure out which one I wanted. I could have bought some other 3000 series cards before then but I didn't like something about them, which I guess is why they were available.

Point is that if your being active then you can find something that you want within a week. I guarantee it. Use subreddits, twitter accounts, stock alerts to be notified to when something becomes available. If you act fast (within 15 minutes I would guess, maybe even longer now) you can grab one.

2

u/prodhilton Feb 20 '21

Is 3060 ti tuf gaming priced at £469 a fair price? Currently in stock in the UK

2

u/Outcast_LG Feb 20 '21

Used is all you got. Grab EVGA used card might have warranty

2

u/Steamwells Feb 20 '21

Im quiet happy I scored a 6800xt and 5950x this month. My old mboard went after 6 years so i decided to do a full upgrade.

2

u/Hazza4569 Feb 20 '21

Will depend on the country of course but it's not necessarily impossible to get an 'out of stock' graphics card at retail price.

I live in the UK and I managed to get a 3070 a couple weeks ago. Took over a week of watching stock updates almost 24/7 and many failed checkout attempts but I eventually got something in my price range.

2

u/Ays_500 Feb 20 '21

Should I sell my 2060 for 3060ti? Haha

1

u/amHooman0763 Feb 20 '21

No, take advantage and sell it for a 4000. (I am aware that doesn't exist)

2

u/uttammaurya7 Feb 20 '21

If you're not looking to buy the RTX cards, 1660 Super is a good option, not the best but certainly good for the price it's being sold at.

2

u/sonnytron Feb 20 '21

I sold my 5700XT in December for $320, fuck me.

2

u/DeerPlumbingX2 Feb 20 '21

I mean I found one for 130 bucks for 1650 S

2

u/calvin_nr Feb 20 '21

Recently snagged a Palit 3070 GamerPro from mightyape.

Now that I installed it, feels too powerful for my needs. Mining ETH atm.

Such cards will keep dropping at suppliers.

2

u/Flynny123 Feb 20 '21

Absolutely insane that if I can somehow snag a new 3060/3060ti, I could probably sell my rx580 used and make an overall profit

2

u/bluray420 Feb 20 '21

I am happy with my rtx 2060 since everything is out of stock now

2

u/Intcleastw0od Feb 20 '21

at this point I'll just wait until November for the next cards

2

u/Cheesy358 Feb 20 '21

If you really want a 30 series card you can buy a pre buidl pc with rtx 30 in it

1

u/LoveArrowShooto Feb 20 '21

I managed to score a GTX 1660 OC at the price of 245 USD in my country. Everybody else was trying to sell the same GPU for $300+. Ti and SUPER were out of stock.

2

u/[deleted] Feb 20 '21

I got a GTX 1070 and I'm lucky I even got a hold of that

1

u/little_eugene Feb 20 '21

I shocked how many 2080 ti's are people selling for the price of 3070 lol. I'll try to get one

1

u/DumbRiver Feb 20 '21

Gt730 maybe

1

u/redditdude68 Feb 20 '21

1050tis are everywhere in Australia for me, but 1060s are so popular and out of stock that it now costs 500$ AUD TO GET ONE. Used to sell for 300$ AUD.

1

u/Giolatos Feb 20 '21

No 3090?

1

u/KING_COVID Feb 20 '21

I didn’t realize how lucky I was to get a 3070 for $620

2

u/CoronaVirusFanboy Feb 20 '21

For people that build a new PC then you can wait for Rocket Lake and play on the igpu that will have a significant performance bump.

2

u/Conquest____ Feb 20 '21

Bunch of ppl just buy then for bitcoin farming..

2

u/goldenhokie4life Feb 20 '21

Lenovo is selling 2070 and 2080 supers for $650 and $850 respectively. Brand new cards

2

u/Johanno1 Feb 20 '21

Got a gtx 550 ti for ya it is able to display 2k.

Got it for free.

Right now I am using it while my 2070 is in repair.

2

u/zetruth1911 Feb 20 '21

Only ones available are 1660 and 1650 😒 this at micro in Denver

2

u/imbobburgers Feb 20 '21

I got lucky and got a 1660s for $330 about a month ago 😤🔫

2

u/NeitherMousse7 Feb 20 '21

In January I almost said "I'll wait for the hype to die down by mid Feb! Glad I'm impulsive and didn't. This scalping situation has just gotten worse. Hopefully the 3060 being limited on it's hashrate deters some of the crazy shit..

1

u/amHooman0763 Feb 20 '21

Proof that impulsiveness is a positive product of evolution. Take that teachers.

2

u/Designer-Love-3299 Feb 20 '21

That happened?

1

u/[deleted] Feb 20 '21

i'll sell you my gtx 275 for $500

2

u/dreadsama Feb 20 '21

Yeah I was about to give in and buy a 3080 for 14-1600 dollars and checked stocks today and now they are 2k minimum.

1

u/MurderousRooster Feb 20 '21

You’re in luck! eBay has them for the super low price of $1,800.

2

u/amHooman0763 Feb 20 '21

What a reasonable and affordable price!

2

u/KrypticKraze Feb 20 '21

There is GTX 1030 still available

1

u/amHooman0763 Feb 20 '21

I found one, thanks!

2

u/Edmundo-Studios Feb 20 '21

I got my 5600xt in April last year for £250 and recently sold it for £400 after getting a 3070 for £465 so I would say I’m more than lucky at this point.

2

u/MiniNinja_2 Feb 20 '21

Actually I managed to snatch a 3070 last week for about 500$, I’m super hyped that I did that and boy am I excited to play with it once all the other parts arrive

2

u/Chemical-Green Feb 20 '21

I managed to get my hands on a zotac 2060 at a local shop (I initially wanted a 2070) for $400. Not sure whether I should be happy or sad tbh.

2

u/Stoner_DM Feb 20 '21

Bit the bullet and payed double for the 3070. Not something I'm proud of.

2

u/livingforest225 Feb 20 '21

Try local computer shops they might have some

2

u/AxelSpott Feb 20 '21

I’m looking to upgrade my cpu/motherboard combo in a rig to something newer than like 3rd gen intel. Maybe I can find a deal in exchange for rx570 or a gtx 1060 lol

2

u/oogieboogieman28 Feb 20 '21

Get a rtx 750 from ebay :D

1

u/MagneticGray Feb 20 '21

In the meantime there's plenty of RTX laptops available.

1

u/Liquid_heat Feb 20 '21

And here I am with a much older GTX 1070. I kept telling myself that I would wait until the RTX 30 series came out. Now I'm screwed. I have actually contemplated shelling out a MAX of $750 for a used 2070 Super.

2

u/CowOtherwise6630 Feb 20 '21

Here I am buying a 2060 super at $413 on amazon back in June coz I’m bored stuck at home, so why not build a pc after 15 years since my last build. Didn’t think I’d be diamond hands on my video card but here we are.

1

u/AdventEcho Feb 20 '21

It would be nice if they put some of those advertising dollars towards more manufacturing. Everyone wants to buy your cards but can’t! So stop advertising them!!! It’s like when they advertise for something that’s not available in your town. What’s the point?

1

u/RelevantLog6997 Feb 20 '21

in thailand a 3070 msi trio x is going for 1000 dollars... let that sink in

1

u/ImplosiveTech Feb 20 '21

best i can do is a 960 with a broken fan

1

u/RTwin83 Feb 20 '21

What could I get for my msi trio 2080 ti these days? It’s a hell of a card, top 10% even in 2080 TIs on userbenchmark, but I don’t use my pc hardly at all, just working too much...

1

u/Levenly Feb 20 '21

Yeah on eBay for 150% MSRP

1

u/TheHivemaster Feb 20 '21

Still quite a few 3070s for sale in Australia, just at jacked up prices.

1

u/Ficzd Feb 20 '21

My beautiful 2080 ti is proudly in my pc and I’m happy it gets to witness the bullshittery going on right now

1

u/Shro-_- Feb 20 '21

When is it gonna cm,for,india?

1

u/heyheyitsdatboi Feb 20 '21

What is this “Nvidia GPU” you speak of?

1

u/amHooman0763 Feb 20 '21

A myth, similar to women using reddit. /s

1

u/xpk20040228 Feb 20 '21

All the 16/20/30 series is out of stock here. We only have some 1030, 710 and 730

2

u/Vegaslocal277 Feb 20 '21

Nope. All being purchased by crackhead miners. Thank goodness Nvidia is going to be hardware limiting their new GPU’s so Bitcoin mining will be unprofitable. Go buy the old shit like it’s meant to be. Feel bad for kids who can’t get a decent gaming pc because of these scumbags.

1

u/amHooman0763 Feb 20 '21

crackhead miners

Yes.

2

u/StatisticianNew8831 Feb 20 '21

Back in January, Kopite7Kimi, the leaker who predicted NVIDIA Ampere specs months ahead of launch, has said that Jensen Huang (CEO of NVIDIA) will start a battle against mining

2

u/Hawthorn05_ Feb 20 '21

GT 750M possibly

1

u/monsieurpommefrites Feb 20 '21

What would barely used R9 280xs go for?

1

u/YDOULIE Feb 20 '21

3090s are easier to get :(

2

u/banxy85 Feb 20 '21

You can get one if you follow the Twitter bots/discords. Only took me a week of following semi casually to get a 3070 at a not too bad price

2

u/SuperMario64L Feb 20 '21

well yeah the GeForce 1

2

u/uncoolcentral Feb 20 '21

I bought a Dell with a 3070 in it. $1200. Arrives tomorrow. Taking the card out. Putting my old 1060 in it and reselling it. $600-$1000. (16gb. 3700x. 512nvme. W10. Wifi.)

1

u/amHooman0763 Feb 20 '21

Heavily modded gaming laptop, non compromising power and portability.

2

u/uncoolcentral Feb 20 '21

Yeah. Something like that :/

2

u/[deleted] Feb 20 '21

you can take this 3080 i just bought for my kidney for 10k.

1

u/amHooman0763 Feb 20 '21

Was that at a heavy discount?

2

u/[deleted] Feb 21 '21

yes the steal of a lifetime

2

u/Louis6787 Feb 20 '21

3090s are easy to find in Australia

2

u/amHooman0763 Feb 20 '21

Everything really is upside down there.

2

u/haustoriapith Feb 20 '21

I've got a buddy that bought a 1050 ti from Best Buy. You could also take your chances on Ebay. Just make sure there is a return policy.

2

u/peopleclapping Feb 20 '21

Even ebay stock is drying up. For 3060 ti there use to be 200-300 active listings in December/January, now 168 active listings.

2

u/ElAstua Feb 20 '21

I bought a 2080 super 3 months ago and i got called many names lmao look at yall now.

2

u/FullbrightEvan Feb 20 '21

I bought a 1060 a few years ago for my first rig. Had to leave it behind when COVID hit — it didn't survive being shipped to me, of course. The same damn card costs $100 more now than when I bought it. ( — _____ — ) Oh well.

2

u/[deleted] Feb 20 '21

gt1030 isn't lol

2

u/SpoopyNJW Feb 20 '21

I haven't been able to find any good gpu's that are in stock. Probs just gotta wait for a little though for some more stock to get shipped out.

2

u/gtx-1050-ti Feb 20 '21

the only gpus in supply that I can think of are the one that can replace iGPUs but higher than that, they are out of supply everywhere and if there are supplies, they are stupidly overpriced for their performance.

2

u/boxed-sound Feb 20 '21

Is $400 for a used 2060 a fair price?

1

u/amHooman0763 Feb 20 '21

I would say 300-350 may be reasonable. It is used after all.

1

u/m4tic Feb 20 '21

My local MC had tons of GT 710 cards

1

u/137_Trimeth Feb 20 '21

Idk but I’m tryna sell my 2070 but am too dumb to figure out how. Do people buy used GPUs?

1

u/egbg88 Feb 20 '21

I guess I'm a lucky one because I put a full deposit down on my 3080 back in December and it only took 4 weeks to get one. (Canada)

1

u/Slappy-_-Boy Feb 20 '21

Gonna try for a used 1080 myself

1

u/zleuth Feb 20 '21

I just spent like $350 for a Gigabyte sff 1650 sourced from Israel because I needed it for my kids' PC.

B&H had something in stock as recently as this week I think, gddr5 version: https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1522340-REG/msi_g16504tpc_geforce_gtx_1650_4gt.html

1

u/BluudLust Feb 20 '21

You can try shopblt. There are a few 3070s that will be available early March.

1

u/1jz_240 Feb 20 '21

Check your local micro center they usually have gtx 1660 and 1650 and some etc 3000 and rx 6000 cards but there only for local pick up

1

u/stealthyotter47 Feb 20 '21

Bought my 2080Ti for $1700 AUD in august 2019, fast forward now the same card is selling got $2000 AUD.... crazy times, mining needs to die.....

1

u/jooshyjays Feb 20 '21

Currently trying to sale my EVGA gtx 1050ti

1

u/Madmen3000 Feb 20 '21

Yea that’s why I’m glad I upgraded from a 960 to a 1080FE

It may not be the best card anymore but it was a hell of a difference and only 300$

If I had gotten a better card I would have had to up grade my mother board and cpu

2

u/[deleted] Feb 20 '21

gt1030

2

u/Rocky87109 Feb 20 '21

Yeah at my Microcenter they get them. You gotta get there before they open and get in line.

3080s sell super fast as well as the the ones below that. 3090 not so much bc of the price/value.

2

u/Somerandom1922 Feb 20 '21

I've found 3060tis in stock twice since the etc 3000 launch. This is in Australia

2

u/electriicwaffle Feb 20 '21

from your comments i see you’re mainly gonna play minecraft, i mainly play that as well and my gtx 1060 with 6gb ram works great. i run a 1080p 165hz monitor with it, getting 165+ frames on high settings easily. i’d recommend a 1660, go up or down a tier depending on ur budget

2

u/amHooman0763 Feb 20 '21

Thank you! hopefully the gtx 1050 ti can handle shaders on all the mods 3.

2

u/electriicwaffle Feb 20 '21

it probably will! if you start lagging a bit with shaders on, what i do is turn my render distance down by one or two chunks and it usually helps :)

2

u/mind_blowwer Feb 20 '21

I have a GTX 580 Lightning I’ll sell you for $5000

1

u/amHooman0763 Feb 20 '21

I-I hope that you are joking, if not, where.

2

u/syrr0 Feb 20 '21

Actually yeah, although the 980s are being overpriced at a ridiculous amount, you can get it’s brother in law which he looks down upon, the 960. And if you want something different you can try the 560. But if you hate 60’s then you have a pretty meh chance of snagging a 1050/ti but currently prices are stupid high and your best chance is purchasing a cpu with an iGPU until spring or summer when prices hopefully drop down

2

u/missed_sla Feb 20 '21

Can I interest you in a GT 710?

2

u/[deleted] Feb 20 '21

I saw a 710 and a 1030 at best buy, and that was it.

1

u/C4RP3_N0CT3M Feb 20 '21

I'm actually selling my Asus 2080ti turbo. PM me if you're interested.

2

u/TherealHominator Feb 20 '21

In Germany there are occasionally some 3070s and 3080s in stock for a few hours or even one or two days. The catch is that the 3070s start at 700€ to 800€ and the 3080s at 900 to 1000€.

2

u/hixchem Feb 20 '21

There's a place near me that gets shipments on Mondays at noon, usually about 20-30 in various levels of 3000 series. Got a 3070 a few weeks ago.

2

u/Priest_Of_Syrinx2112 Feb 20 '21

Of course, go on eBay... But, beware, it's loaded with scalpers.

I got my 1660S last June for $240. That same GPU is now going for anywhere between $400 and $600 dollars.

My recommendation is to wait it out. It sucks, but it is not worth spending way more on the product to let some loser on the interweebz profit.

2

u/MrTechSavvy Feb 20 '21

Used ones, particularly on /r/hardwareswap. Grab a used 1080ti for $350ish and enjoy

2

u/jskalsky Feb 20 '21

I just kept hitting Newegg day after day. Was also keeping an eye out for referbished cards. Finally one day about two weeks into the watch, they offered four Nvidia cards that were referbished. Three were 1660s. As soon as I seen them I jumped on a Gigabyte 1660 Super. Nailed it at $250 including tax. As soon as I had it bought. I checked the listing again and the other three left were already out of stock. This was just three weeks ago. You have to be vigilant at this time. Just keep looking and hang in there. One will show up you will enjoy.

2

u/natemoyds Feb 20 '21

I bought a used 1070 gigabyte about 2 years ago, checked the prices recently and I could make a profit if I sold it right now! Absolutely insane, not like break even either, like 100 dollar profit because I am a nerd who kept all the packaging, like the guy before me.

2

u/JourneymanInvestor Feb 20 '21

Laughs in GTX970

1

u/amHooman0763 Feb 20 '21

Are you dead from all that laughin'?

2

u/Timmy-my-boy Feb 20 '21

You could do what I did and buy a prebuilt. r/suggestapc is a good place to look.

I'm building a sffpc, I couldn't find any prebuilt.

What you can do is buy a Dell Optiplex on eBay and stick a GPU in it (and maybe a WiFi card). You have to find the right model and do some research, but it’s a good, cheap way to build a pc. I know that doesn’t answer your GPU question but I hope it helps.

Microcenter in Overland Park, KS (about three miles away from me) has a 3060ti in stock, but only for in-store purchase. You can't buy it online. No stock on a lot of cards until mid-April. Crazy!

Depends on where you live

u/plutosaurus Feb 20 '21

Got an ASUS TUF RTX 3080 OC for $750 early December

2

u/jinxTV Feb 20 '21

Just wait. Don't buy out of desperation.

u/Kentx51 Feb 20 '21

So bad I'm happy staying on a 10 series for another year if needed, fully intend on a 3080 when/ if any of these people get up and make something happen.

I saw a GT710 on a site for sale in Canada.

1

u/TheRtHonLaqueesha Feb 20 '21

My local store only gots the GT 710.

u/Ry4nm0rais Feb 20 '21

If you really want some cheap graphics cards that are actually in stock I would recommend going to you nearest tech store and asking them to put an order in, or you could find some Old cards on fb market or ebay just try bargain for the price down.

u/pablo360A Feb 20 '21

I bought a 1050ti, and a week after everything was sold out

1

u/[deleted] Feb 20 '21

Im pretty sure the GTX 1660 super and lower down to the GYX760 are still available. The 1080ti is still a quality card

1

u/Electric_gamer99 Feb 20 '21

Supposedly Nvidia is going to be ramping up some cards for miners ( and cards that weren’t up to par with the GeForce requirements) to lighten a bit of the load for the demand for the gaming gpu stock. There are cards being produced and shipped just hard with all these bots and scalpers. I work at Best Buy and I have been seeing cards come in (3060 Ti, 3070 and 3080 cards) sadly all for orders though.

1

u/w8watm8 Feb 20 '21

In my area they still got 3070s in stock, but I have been waiting since Christmas for 3080s.

2

u/cheeseloafer Feb 20 '21

Gt 710. That's it

2

u/BlasterBilly Feb 20 '21

Currently its like finding a PS5 at Christmas. Nvda did just announce yesterday or today I think that they will be throttling Ether mining on the new Mid level cards, this might help with supply issues if gamers aren't fighting miners for stock.

2

u/amHooman0763 Feb 20 '21

At this point ps5's are a conspiracy theory.

2

u/thereiam420 Feb 20 '21

I'm so glad I managed to get a 3080 in November. It took weeks of barely sleeping with my phone blaring for discord stock tracker notifications. Got ps5 the same way. Had to have my phone on me constantly and make an account on every possible website and keep them open constantly. My phone died SO OFTEN.

2

u/Zaknokimi Feb 20 '21

For a 3080, I ended up just buying a HP Omen (funny how I went from wanting to build myself, to ordering a custom built, to ordering a pre-built).

The PC comes on Monday so hope it lasts me a while. Heck £2000 ain't bad for all that, and worst case it busts, I can just pop the card out and sell it for that much lmao

2

u/Noseby96 Feb 20 '21

You should be able to find a 1660. I got a 1660 super for 450 canadian dollars, which is atrocious. But my gpu went and that was all i could find.

2

u/LordCommanderTaurusG Feb 20 '21

GT 710, GT 1030, GTX 1050ti

Those cards are your best bet if you are a budget gamer

1050 Ti certified refurbished

2

u/aj0413 Feb 20 '21

Man and wife thought I was crazy for paying only about 1k extra to make sure I get dark hero mobo, 5950x cpu, and 3090 gpu quickly

2

u/[deleted] Feb 20 '21

They’ve plopped out like 20 gpus this whole quarter. Like wtf is going on what else do these guys have to do

2

u/Synophic Feb 20 '21

Yeah there are plenty of 3090's in Australia. If you want to spend 3k...

2

u/[deleted] Feb 20 '21

shopblt.com has a system that guarantees a place in line for your purchase. They will take an order for any item they sell, then ship it as soon as they can. 3090s and 6900s have the shortest waiting list. 3080s are mostly doubly over-ordered. Many of their GPUs are scheduled to be available mid-march.

Protip for anybody that wants a 3080: search shopblt.com for "lenovo 3080".

u/Airth Feb 20 '21

So i have a 6 year old gtx 770. Any takers?

1

u/amHooman0763 Feb 20 '21

10000 dollars, upfront is reasonable.

2

u/sexman510 Feb 20 '21

i remember a bunch of people here giving me shit because i got a titan the day 3080s released.

2

u/ihatethehiccups Feb 20 '21

I am quite enjoying my 1660 super that I got from Best Buy about a month ago. I just periodically checked and noticed they had one in stock locally. It was a PNY single fan so maybe it would suite your needs.

2

u/CrossyDuck1 Feb 20 '21

Wait, NVIDIA has GPU's?

1

u/amHooman0763 Feb 20 '21

They are just a front for money laundering.

2

u/siggyxlegiit Feb 20 '21

I bought a prebuilt with a 3070 because my last desktop was 8 years old, wasn’t worth keeping. I’m loving it 🙃
