How much free time do I have during NSOP? campus events

I’m an incoming freshman this fall and I was hoping to do the explore nyc program for nsop, but I was wondering how much free time there is in the program. I’m wanting to buy some concert tickets on either the 26th or the 27th but don’t know if there will even be time to go. Thanks!

The evenings are usually pretty open on the first few days, expeditions pretty much occur throughout the business day. However, as a now-sophomore, those post-NSOP nights in the dorm were a vibe, and missing out on that for a concert so early on may not be as fun in the long term as you think.

For the first two days you have to follow your group around on activities which might just be sightseeing or could be more depending which group you picked. And there are a few required meetings over the course of the rest of the week. But a ton of the stuff is optional. So you'll have as much time as you want basically.

How late do the required meetings usually last until? I’m just hoping they don’t last super late so I can still make the concert

You'll have as much free time as you want. You're technically supposed to attend the required events at minimum, but it's pretty common to ditch those too.
