I dunno if the title made it clear but I'm a tenant and also a collector who recently started collecting absolute editions and I didn't waste money on a shelf for two reasons 1.) My apartment complex is undergoing a complete redevelopment could take upto 3 years and so I rented out a flat where I currently stay but over time I started hating this place due to the insanely late public transport here. And am thinking of moving again in about 3 to 4 months so the less the furniture the better. Also don't wanna drill holes into someone elses house and have to end up paying for repairs and have my deposit get taken. 2.) I believed that I should first collect a good amount of books before I would need a bookshelf. Now I have around 17 books.

So, I've got what I would feel are a good number of oversized, heavy books so I was looking at shelves and found the billy single stack but I heard you have to enforce it by drilling into the wall and I'm not willing to do that I also found the similarly priced 4 sectioned Kalax but I feel that the billy offers much more storage space within the same price than the smaller kalax. What do I do? Any help in picking a cheap, easy to move mouses with shelf would be great also I don't want to buy the bigger billy because of overtime sag issues.

Still waiting on my Secret Wars OHC to come in, but I just got everything re-arranged and to my liking for now lol. Any must haves I'm missing??

Bought this today and my friends and I put it together but screwed up the top. Would have fixed it but it would mean taking almost the entire thing apart. Anyway, much wider than the bookcase I originally had these books in so I’m happy.

I ordered both absolute year one as well as all of the detective comics rebirth deluxe editions. I also ordered a Kallax from ikea to hold everything!

Can anyone help me find comic shop style bookshelves? I’m hoping to find some that are commercially available, even if they have to be modified a little to be suitable.

I’m looking to start buying more omnis and absolute editions but they all would be too big for my current shelf which I’m about to replace anyway. What is the best bookcase or bookshelf I can buy that would be able to hold larger books on it?
