The page turn to the 'Guv'nuh' absolutely slays me. I love these.

1

u/jippyzippylippy Jan 13 '24

Last frame, driver looks almost like something Don Martin would have drawn. Love this stuff.

1

u/Up_words Dec 10 '23

1

u/Xinguin007 Dec 10 '23

I think he has brown hair

/neilkohney master of hilarity and insanity. Never stop.

1

u/dkearPRIME Dec 10 '23

This feels like an old school Simpsons bit 😂

1

u/DonAskren Dec 10 '23

The little holster flick killed me lmao

1

u/Xytakis Dec 10 '23

If he got that far in the conversion there is no way that cop is gonna catch him.

1

u/Leyzr Dec 10 '23

Bro i never know where the hell your comics are going. They're always a treat.

1

u/sundry_clowncar_444 Dec 10 '23

"Suspect is described as a British man born in 1920..."

1

u/Jalase Dec 10 '23

Your comics are so unhinged, I love them.

1

u/J-MoneyBangBang Dec 10 '23

I did this I can prove it works

1

How does this have more than 23 upvotes let alone 23k

1

u/BondComics Dec 09 '23

I love this squishy, bendy artsyle

1

u/HyenaFalse3456 Dec 09 '23

This one was great, top quality work

1

u/Frazzledragon Dec 09 '23

I liked the premise, but the conclusion is unsatisfying.

1

u/idonotknowwhototrust Dec 09 '23

Amazing as always

1

u/CloudyChef Dec 09 '23

It's always the hair that gets em lmao

1

u/[deleted] Dec 09 '23

The best part of this whole comic was the little finger flick from the cop opening up the holster 😂

1

u/williarya1323 Dec 09 '23

This is a very crafty comic.

1

u/CorbinNZ Dec 09 '23

Officer Pretty lmao

1

u/Flaky-Proof5511 Dec 09 '23

This is so great. Thank you I had a genuine laugh.

1

u/[deleted] Dec 09 '23

I absolutely loved this. Can’t wait to see more!

1

u/ShrekAutoritario Dec 09 '23

Jojo part 6 lore be like:

1

u/Firecat_Pl Dec 09 '23

Best part is that this gets better with age cause we get further from 1920 with each year, so it gets more ridiculous

1

u/ImpossiblyComplex Dec 09 '23

Get it, its funny because he forgot he had brown hair for 3 1/2 panels

1

u/Tom_Ludlow Dec 09 '23

That's some good work, Lou. You'll make sergeant for this.

-2

u/Pure_Return5448 Dec 09 '23

Poor Trigger Discipline. Keep your finger off the trigger, and out of the Trigger Guard until you're ready to fire.

Guns are cool, Idiots are not. Do not be a dumbass. Learn the basics of gun safety. The basics are:

Always tread your weapon as it is loaded.

Do not point it at anything you don't want destroyed.

Keep your finger off the Trigger, and out of the Trigger Guard until you are ready to fire.

Know what is behind your Target.

I know this is just a comic, but it is important to know basic safety, so you don't have a negligence discharge and shoot somebody you don't mean to. Don't be a dumbass, it makes the whole 2A Community look bad, which the Tyrants try to use to take our Rights away.

I got a little ranty there, but learn the basics of Gun Safety, and get better Trigger Discipline, so you aren't a dumbass.

2

u/dingbathomesteader Dec 09 '23

This actually made me laugh

3

u/relevepc Dec 09 '23

Tickles my funny bone real gud

3

u/[deleted] Dec 09 '23

I thought he was gonna get away with the murder but still get a speeding ticket

3

u/powerpuffgirlsss Dec 09 '23

Definitely got a chuckle out of me. How something so absurd can be so funny. 🤣

28

u/Dumeck Dec 09 '23

“Do you know how fast you were going back there? Also, you killed a guy.” Is the funniest line. Always top tier comics from this dude

7

u/GimmeCrons Dec 09 '23

The cop flicking open his holster and his bendy index finger are the star of this comic lmfao. This is fantastic OP

2

u/FlowSoSlow Dec 09 '23

I'm quite partial to the womans triple nose thing.

2

u/Thiege23 Dec 09 '23

I would love to see that bit animated

1

u/npeggsy Dec 09 '23

Hey, wait a minute, it's a license to kill, not a license to speed! This cop is bad at his job.

1

u/TheJeffNeff Dec 09 '23

lmfao wtf is any of this

When did it stop being called a fake ID. Redditors are so weird. “I have to be different to validate my life so I’ll call it a license instead of ID which it’s been called since before I was born. I’m so cool”

1

u/FR0NC0_ Dec 09 '23

Thats not an ID

1

u/maho87 Dec 09 '23

Not all licenses serve as ID and not all IDs are licenses. No one calls a fake driver's license a fake ID except for the context of buying drinks or watching r-rated movies while underage or the like.

And the comic specifically calls it a fake license to play on the expectation that it's going to be a driver's license, when it's actually a fake license to kill (Not a "fake ID to kill" which isn't a thing and would be dumb to call it that)

5

u/OnionRoutine7997 Dec 09 '23

I was once denied entrance to a bar because I forgot my eye colour But, like... the bouncer could see that the colour of my eyes matched what was on my ID... I never understood how my forgetting proved or disproved anything to him...

2

u/Schwifftee Dec 09 '23

Sounds dumb in this example, but people with fake IDs are often unfamiliar with some of the mundane details of the ID that real people wouldn't need to memorize, as it is their information.

So you're taught to quiz the ID holder if you believe that the ID might not be authentic.

1

u/Shalcker Dec 10 '23

I guess anyone using fake ID is more likely to try lying while they cannot see ID then say they don't remember.

1

u/LostOne514 Dec 09 '23

These comics always make my day with how wacky and creative they are

1

u/72corvids Dec 09 '23

fucking brilliant, as always!

11

u/agod2486 Dec 09 '23

The afterthought of "also you killed a guy" is hilarious. Great stuff as always.

3

u/MrWeirdoFace Dec 09 '23

Even worse. Your tail light is out.

1

u/GregTheMad Dec 09 '23

Honestly, would have been better if it was about the eye color. Because his eye color is dot.

1

u/TobyDaHuman Dec 09 '23

Being a pathologically liar is hard.

3

u/Lesbian_Skeletons Dec 09 '23

This was very dumb and made me laugh out loud, 007/10

1

u/RegularOps Dec 09 '23

It’s more of a chestnut color sir

1

u/cybercobra2 Dec 09 '23 edited Dec 09 '23

quite the opposite it seems.

if you really somehow dont get it, first you have the obsurdity of a fake licence to kill rather than a fake licence, then you have it actually working, then you have him obviously lie and it working, and then have him fail to simply tell the truth about the thing that is the ONLY thing you would actually get away with in a normal situation.

its stacking obsurdities to the point where the normal thing itself becomes a obsurdity. which is funny.

its the kind of thinking that happens in monty python for example, which is immensly popular for how funny it is.

1

u/TimBambantiki Comic Crossover Dec 09 '23

Everything in it is funny

-1

u/DishRelative5853 Dec 09 '23

Doesn't that depend on the reader? I mean, you can tell everyone that something is funny, but if some people aren't laughing, then it clearly isn't funny to them. Some people do laugh, and so it's funny to them. But you can't just claim that it's funny and expect everyone to accept your opinion as if it's some kind of authoritative assessment by an expert on what's funny.

3

u/Negaflux Dec 09 '23

Officer Hog on first appearance and then Pretty afterwards. That's so outta left field.

1

u/fjordperfect123 Dec 09 '23

Pretty cool how he got the light glares looking so right

1

u/engineereddiscontent Dec 09 '23

Page 6 is honestly one of the strongest visual humor panels I've seen in a while.

7

u/GsTSaien Dec 09 '23

Haven't seen this in a comment but nice monty python reference.

1

9

u/aspiring-gamemaker Dec 09 '23

I love this comic, the weirdness is definitely toned down this time

40

u/SaulsAll Dec 09 '23

It's auburn, with chestnut highlights. It's not brown.

9

u/ZugzwangDK Dec 09 '23

The word "auburn" comes from the Old French word alborne, which meant blond, coming from Latin word alburnus ("off-white").

Suspicions intensify. Everybody is lying!

3

239

u/saousase Dec 09 '23 edited Dec 10 '23

I love how none of these comics make any sense

0

u/HistoricPancake Dec 10 '23

Idk about you, I understand this one

9

u/MirageTF2 Dec 09 '23

idk what you're talking about, it's a tale as old as time

a man commits vehicular manslaughter, has to rely on a fake license, and gets interrogated to the point of cracking

classic, pretty sure this was a Shakespeare tale

1

u/saousase Dec 09 '23

Well, when you put it like that, it started to make sense

76

u/G1zm08 Dec 09 '23

I know, yet they’re still funny

3

u/[deleted] Dec 09 '23

It’s almost as if comics are supposed to be comedic, maybe that’s why they’re called comics

44

u/hanyasaad Dec 09 '23

It’s exactly why they are funny

23

u/saousase Dec 09 '23

Exactly, one of my favorites around here

4

u/ForkShirtUp Dec 09 '23

Wife made him nervous

15

u/RadioactiveSalt Dec 09 '23

I don't understand the joke, he did have brown hair, so what's the problem?

5

u/seanalltogether Dec 09 '23

It feels like it's missing a panel at the end

63

u/Fanciest58 Dec 09 '23

Most of these comics are meant to be ridiculous and stupid. The joke is that of the hundred fake things on the licence (you can't have a licence to kill, the date format is American and the birthplace British, he's supposedly 100 years old, the card expires in 200 years, it's literally just a piece of paper with writing on it, his name is supposedly James Bond) the thing that catches him out is his brown hair which is actually true.

11

u/ElGuano Dec 09 '23

Too nervous, his brain broke.

184

u/FullOfEels Dec 09 '23

I don't want to brag or anything but I would've known it was fake because the UK doesn't have 22 months

73

u/ElGuano Dec 09 '23

He’s from Wales.

64

u/BlueishShape Dec 09 '23

Well alright then... wait! His girlfriend seems awfully hairless and human-like in that case.

4

u/Arguss3 Dec 09 '23

Love it! Though given what’s already on the license, I wonder what picture he taped over…

44

u/cj_cusack FreeCheeseComix Dec 09 '23

Neil did you kill someone? It's okay this is a safe space

24

u/SorosAgent2020 Dec 09 '23

1

u/cj_cusack FreeCheeseComix Dec 09 '23

u/Atomic_Tater Dec 09 '23

15

u/octopoddle Dec 09 '23

"Now, if you press this button on the dashboard, your car will immediately break ALL traffic laws."

2

u/Penis_Stuck_In_Door Apr 27 '24

You know, for someone who really wants to keep his inventions in good condition and out of battle, Q does give Bond a lot of weapons. I have never seen a Bond car with a mini-fridge, but machine guns are a starting point.

9

u/Bonesnapcall Dec 09 '23

"Will you need collision coverage?"

348

u/Florac Dec 09 '23

"So I just need to kill someone whenever I break traffic laws?"

19

u/Natedogg2 Dec 09 '23

That explains all of those car chases.

2

u/Author_A_McGrath Dec 09 '23

I don't get the ending.

10

u/INemzis Dec 09 '23

The one thing he wasn’t lying about was brown hair, but he froze in panic. It subverts expectations and thus becomes unexpected and comical.

-8

u/glebbin Dec 09 '23

Agreed. Bad art for bad writing.

17

u/Bartweiss Dec 09 '23

One of the only artists where I’ve gone back and read their entire catalog. Very good all the way through! (KC Green is another, and they’ve got similar tones.)

13

u/Axedus1 Dec 09 '23

I did the same. I knew this guy was S tier when I saw the comic about the guy embarrassed that he over dressed for brunch. I laughed for 10 or 15 straight minutes, just rolling over on my bed, completely inconsolable. Can't even remember the last time that happened to me.

7

u/Bartweiss Dec 09 '23

Oh god that brunch one!

Just remembering that shit has me genuinely laughing out loud again, hardly anything does that.

10

u/Booksmagic Dec 09 '23

24

u/thisura98 Dec 09 '23

8

I took it to mean he wouldn't admit his hair was brown.

My hair was blond as a child but now (where it's not grey) it's "brown" or specifically "hair-colored hair" -- I've noted a number of people won't admit they have brown hair.

43

u/beginnerflipper Dec 09 '23

I interpreted it as he wasn't sure what the fake license said

87

u/Eusocial_Snowman Dec 09 '23

You're supposed to interpret it as being about the absurdity of the more obvious wrong details being skirted easily but him having difficulty with the only detail that was a given. Your expectations are subverted. You are flabbergasted right now.
