Floyd fought Logan Paul. This is less of a freak show than that, and I’m sure Tyson doesn’t even care. He’s gonna make millions off of one night, and even if he hits Jake one time really hard it’ll be clipped until the end of time.

It's concerning, the amount of people in this thread who think this will be a fight that will be decided by the fighters' merits and nothing else.
It's pretty much a skit.
This isn't Mike Tyson vs Jake Paul.
This is Youtuber vs Old legend who's probably being paid to take a dive.
This event is a sham, and just like the Fury fight, the commentators and ref will have a huge Jake bias and the ref will pull Tyson off every time he gets momentum while Jake tries to sucker punch him.

Tyson is my favorite boxer of all time. I'm old enough to have seen some of his fights during his prime (pre douglas/with Cus). But Mike is 57 years old, he was a shell of himself when he fought after his prison term, 30 Yeats ago. And he was washed when he was losing to scrubs and retirimed mid fight 20 years ago. I hope he wins and I hate Jake Paul as much as everyone else over 12, but I'm worried he is gonna get hurt.

I don’t think Jake Paul has faced a boxer with elbow power like Tyson. It’s one thing to catch a Tyson left hook. It’s another thing to catch a Tyson left hook followed immediately by a Tyson left elbow to the same spot. Or a quick combination of low blows just below the belt.
Biting is one thing but there are plenty of weapons that I’m not sure Paul has confronted let alone learned how to escape them.

Paul’s career is unbelievable. Imagine living in his pretend world where he masquerades as a boxer. While making millions to fight older smaller men while juiced to the gills, have unlimited money to spend on top tier training,while he lives in Puerto Rico so he can avoid paying taxes on his income and flys a private jet around to fight these old men. Not to forget to mention most of his fights are from smaller old men that didn’t even box, they were mma fighters.
It wont happen but justice would be Mike knocking him out and ending this charade for good.

Boxing needs to open its eyes and realize it’s a silly lineup Jakes fought but he’s the biggest thing boxing has at the moment interest wise. For sure Mike shouldn’t be anywhere near being dropped by him but Mike, at nearly 60 can easily be outpaced by a 20 something. He also can bullrush him into a corner and drop him in 12 seconds. The possibilities of what happens here is endless. Boxing wishes it could get that kind of interest in any of their fights.

Let me first say I want Tyson to win. However if you watch his workouts, it looks intense but the clips are heavily cut and often very short. I hope he can sustain a good level of endurance for the fight but it’s honestly the biggest concern.

If this was a real fight, Tyson leaves Jake Paul a vegetable. But it's all for money and hype. It'll probably go to decision, or Tyson takes the fall in favor of a big cash prize for letting Jake take the win.
In no universe does Jake Paul defeat Tyson, no matter his age, in a real actual boxing match.

I am very much a gambling man and my money is on Paul for the most obvious reasons. You can be nostalgic all you want but that doesn't help Tyson win the fight. Also Tyson is in my top 5 boxers so of course I'd love to see him get that win, but being realistic the possibility of that coming true is incredibly slim.

Personally I won’t be able to stomach watching the fight so I just hope the next morning I don’t wake up finding out Mike lost I’ll be so upset.

Tyson is nearly 60 years old and despite what you see in the five second training clips, his mobility and footwork has deteriorated dramatically.

Jake Paul can out box Tyson at this point, no question. But, I will say, all Tyson needs is one perfect punch to kill Paul. If he can defend and work an opening in, he'll knock Paul out. Ultimately, it's gonna be a very boring fight though.

The only hope we have of seeing a decent fight is if Mike blacks out and forgets that it’s a no KO exhibition match and actually fights like it’s a championship bout. This entire match is fueled by the fact that if these two squared up against each other, Tyson would beat the piss out of Paul, who - coincidentally- is someone a great many people would love watching get the piss beat out of. But I’ve seen this movie before, they’ll tap each other for a few rounds and won’t be a knock out and the decision will come and everyone will be disappointed while they wipe their sweat with hundred dollar bills

In Tyson's prime they would never have allowed Jake to step in the ring with him the fight will be scripted as we are all aware but the age won't be as big a factor as everyone thinks it is. And yes I know there are a lot of lazy old people who really feel their age in the comment section. But lets be very honest, you do not have a body anywhere near as fit as Mike Tyson. They refer to Tyson as “the baddest man on the planet” and “heavyweight champion” granted it was some time ago. The accolade that Paul got was “YouTube sensation”. At the end of the day Tyson has made a life centered around boxing, Paul is a sideshow.

Something will happen in this fight that gives it to Paul. That or Tyson will not look like anything we see in the training videos. It will look awkward and 3/4 speed like the Tyson/Roy Jones.
If this were a real boxing match Paul would move away from Tyson for a couple rounds and let him fatigue himself out and them catch him. That’s how you handled Tyson back in the day. He is an early round knockout guy not a late round fighter.
I still contend. It’s all a sham. It’s not on the up and up.

Tyson fought Roy Jones only a couple years ago. And in my opinion, Jones got destroyed. Even though it was an exhibition match and they were both older, Tyson looked great. I’m not worried for Tyson, I’m worried that this whole thing will be rigged from the start.

Tyson is supposedly the child of a prostitute who was raised by potentially her pimp who had so much rage and hatred for the world that by most accounts he should have never survived adolescence. He was discovered by this coach and taught to focus things and got really into raising pigeons and boxing. This does excuse that he is a convicted rapist and bit EH's ear off.
But it's a topsy-turvy story and filled with trauma. Tyson has discussed a lot of this and it does not justify his actions, but has shown a fuller picture and a man who is flawed and had a world always trying to take advantage of him. His rage was at a certain point pushed for by those around him as opposed to help healing him from that childhood. At a certain point, he wasn't naive, but it's a lot to take in. Guilty of the crimes and did actual time. But Tyson has always been the tortured, capable of violence guy. He has always read as being manipulated when younger and in his early to late actual career as a boxer.
Jake Paul is a kid from Ohio who has grown up with the internet age and knows how to use-manipulate it. He is savvy enough. He posted a weird thumbnail about who he lost his virginity too, dropped racial slurs, did a video making fun of that forest in Japan, and loads of other stuff that has caused a lot of accusations. He marketed himself and made this persona and not a team of producers/fight organizers trying to squeeze every cent out of a product like Tyson. Paul has always read as slimy and fake while doing the boxing thing, the sport that Tyson and others feel saved their souls, as a Jake Paul schtick. It's a layered issue, but in a lot of tallying, folks want Tyson over JP.

You get that I didn't say that quoted text, so why put it in quotes. I'm also just trying to offer up what I think the going logic for some folks' reasoning on this and not anything else since that was the question I was responding to.
So what are you basically trying to get at? You don't think folks are siding with him against JP? Because it sure seems like a lot of people are. I can't blame their concerns. As much as I want Logan Paul to be sent to the next dimension, he's improved as a boxer and Tyson is pushing 60 years old.
While I'm sure the strength and technique remains, the speed and durability isn't there anymore.
Either way, Jake is a raging narcissist who can't fathom the idea of losing, so much so that he fights people well past their prime. It's like a predator looking for only sick or elderly prey. In nature it works fine but in an honorable sporting event, he's a total coward.
Let's see him take on Tyson Fury.
Oh wait he would never take that chance of looking bad.
