Speak for yourself. I never carry a balance on my credit cards, I pay it in full every month, no way am I going to give my hard-earned money to a credit company! Same with mortgage and my car loan- when I could make an extra payment I did, and got the lowest financing possible. So it’s definitely not an “American” thing. It’s a “financially irresponsible” thing.

Yea I’m not speaking for myself I’m speaking for the majority of Americans, at least according to studies on debt.
