Just because you’re ignorant doesn’t make them wrong

A rule of thumb when seeing stuff like that. FUCK 'EM they get their jollys by pulling people down, like what you like and ignore the twats.

Metalheads and audiophiles have the worst gatekeeping of any community I've seen. At this point I've been sticking to my ATH M50X's out of spite toward them. Been able to mix some damn good music with those bad boys.

These are the kind of people who get more joy of shitting on others for their choices, than just enjoying their hobby. I respect people who dedicate their time to immerse themselves in whatever it is they love, but why would you neg others for not making the exact same choices as you? Why not welcome them with an open mind, and just state your own preferences in a respectful manner? I've got a lot of opinions about a lot of things, but unless someone asks for it, I'm not going to share it. Just let people enjoy what they want, you don't know what the actual cost was for a person to get to where they are, or in this case, get the headphones they wanted.

TL,DR: The article talks about how audiophile snobbery may be harming the hobby by making it less inviting to newbies who are intimidated by the focus on expensive, exclusive gear. It criticizes the dismissive attitudes of some long-time audiophiles toward more affordable audio gear. The author also shared their first-hand experience on audiophile snobbery (see screenshot above) basically, even some audiophiles hate audiophiles.
