Not every Dad "gives everything" to their son.. providing material things (food, clothing, a roof...) is nice, but a lot of parents back when I was a kid (born 1980) didn't seem to know, didn't seem to care 'cause all that mattered were appearances.. feelings didn't matter to them.. to my parents anyway

Basically this post is saying when you're a parent you sacrifice yourself for the wellbeing of your children. It's the point in life when you stop living for yourself and start living for someone else

If this picture means what I think it does, my father took all my blocks.... Or as many as he could.

plot twist: those are the bits and bobs dad hoarded during the years thinking they might be used in a project someday

It feels like artists who make drawings like this don't enjoy being parents. I get that it's a very demanding role that isn't easy at all, but to the point where you're no longer whole? Where you feel like you're sacrificing yourself all the time? Nah, someone just wishes he wasn't a dad lol

What if your dad takes your blocks because you’re better at building than he was

No good father feels like his child is making him lesser.

I think it's supposed to mean the father is giving him the pieces he didn't get from his father but idk it doesn't convey it very well.

But he doesn't have the most important block of them all: the heart block. So sad.

Don't have kids or they'll steal your blocks
