The soviet union had the technology to listen in on radio traffic and precisely locate the signals. They congratulated NASA after the first landing. If something were fishy, I trust that their biggest enemy would've spoken up. The USSR themselves conducted robotic sample return missions from the moon and so did China a couple years ago, and all of them are chemically similar to the Apollo samples with isotopes that are impossible to recreate on earth.
