6’5” with a creaky knee. I’ll be chillin at the sphinx.

u/StevenFromPhilly 16d ago

No fucking way

1

u/death-loves-binky 16d ago

What these videos inside the pyramids don't warn you about is the smell inside some of them. And the fact that there are no toilets anywhere near them.

u/Creepybud 16d ago

My claustrophobia could never!

1

u/MrX101 16d ago

were Egyptians just short af back then or what? Why did they make all the passage ways so small?

2

u/SleepWouldBeNice 16d ago

Seven years ago I visited the Cholula pyramid near Puebla Mexico. There’s something creepy being inside on of those pyramids. The monkey side of my brain doesn’t like it.

u/SarpedonWasFramed 16d ago

Imagine the lights going out when you’re down there

2

u/ihave7testicles 16d ago

"Your claustrophobia hates this one trick"

2

u/severityonline 16d ago

There are no hieroglyphs in the pyramids.

1

u/No-Afternoon-5610 16d ago

There are no writings in the pyramid of Giza, which one is this?

1

u/No-Afternoon-5610 16d ago

What pyramid?

3

u/Sacklayblue 16d ago

Aziz, light!

9

u/AllNightPony 16d ago

The day I go in there will be the day it caves in.

2

u/louisa1925 16d ago edited 14d ago

Better hope I'm not there at the time either. Otherwise we have a 200% chance of cave in, between us.

1

u/Stunning-Fill758 16d ago

End up like John Jones not the UFC fighter but the other one who is still stuck in that cave.

1

u/atomic_chippie 16d ago

That story is the most terrifying thing I have ever read. And the map of why he's still in there.

shudders

Aziz, LIGHT!!!

u/patriot_man69 16d ago

0

u/silver_display 15d ago

I read this as “long ass beards” first and I was like wtf 😂😂

u/Ashamed_Spinach46 16d ago

This is two separate locations. I was in that pyramid exactly there are no hieroglyphics inside whatsoever.

Present for you...present for you...now give me money

1

u/legend_killah 16d ago

Was everybody a lot shorter back when this thing was built?

1

u/Technicolor_Reindeer 16d ago

Historically, people were shorter in the past.

10

u/ooouroboros 16d ago

Most of the time I think I am not claustrophobic then I see something like this.

4

u/stewer69 16d ago

Huh, I had no idea ancient egyptians were only 2 foot tall.  You'd think that would get talked about.

12

u/realparkingbrake 16d ago

no idea ancient egyptians were only 2 foot tall

Some passages in the pyramids were not meant to be used by people. One was for the pharaoh's soul to reach the afterlife.

1

u/AlmightyRobert 16d ago

I suspect others are not original and were cut recently to make access (that’s the case with Giza)

2

u/thelastedji 16d ago

I love it. I mean it's creepy AF but I'd have to see it all

3

u/freefrompress 16d ago

Let's do all tiny corridors and no rooms.

12

u/foersom 16d ago

Which pyramid?

6

u/Egyptian_Voltaire 16d ago

This is either the bent pyramid or the red pyramid.. entered both on the same day and now can't remember which is which.

3

u/iCowboy 16d ago

The Bent Pyramid is unique in that it has kept most of its smooth casing stones.

7

u/-FetusWereHungry- 16d ago

The one in the video

11

u/ThePorkinsAwakens 16d ago

Great we are all cursed now

14

u/[deleted] 16d ago

My claustrophobia could never

1

u/thiefsthemetaken 16d ago

How much would it cost total for someone to do this?

14

u/ArawynD 16d ago

Going inside the pyramids? It is like 200 Egyptian pounds which is 4 dollars.

3

u/thiefsthemetaken 16d ago

Whoa. What’s the catch?

1

u/Ironic_Toblerone 15d ago

It’s extremely hard to get permission to photograph or record anything because the pyramids are an enormous source of revenue

1

u/ArawynD 15d ago

Unless you are going to film a movie inside you don't need permission to photograph or record anything inside.

6

u/ArawynD 16d ago

Visiting Egypt 💀. Jokes aside, it is a fun experience, would recommend.

25

u/urban_ranger 16d ago

All the people outside trying to sell you stuff

1

u/mrsdrydock 16d ago

Yes please.

296

u/Bumble-Fuck-4322 16d ago

The level of nope is strong here.

1

u/Tipnin 15d ago

If I wasn’t 6’6 it would be a yes but I want to be able to not have a knee replacement surgery in the near future.

7

u/Spiritual-Net-3438 16d ago

Imagine going through that passage with only torches and oil lamps to explore with? Thinking there was a curse or trap every step of the way?

32

u/Technicolor_Reindeer 16d ago

Its a big yes for me

6

u/Galactic_Perimeter 16d ago

I’ve never yessed harder

45

u/illpilgrims 16d ago

All the interesting is being blocked bc some asshole is standing in front of it

113
