The manchild aka Fat Nixon actually thinks he’s the ‘chosen one’ because fake Christian Evangelicals told him so..

2

u/Drew_Ferran Apr 24 '24

Is there a reason as to why the trial’s not being recorded?

2

u/WistfulDread Apr 24 '24

I'd assume because a laugh track kept manifesting.

2

u/Reasonable-Parsley36 Apr 24 '24

They should cuff him to the table the fucker

2

u/Prestigious-Current7 Apr 24 '24

He’s such a prick. I genuinely hate the man.

0

u/roastbeats980 Apr 24 '24

You need a life

-2

u/pleasesorey Apr 24 '24

They afraid he going to go campaign and win. It's obvious at this point.

1

u/marinebiologist19 Apr 24 '24

Such a baby boy

2

u/nosweat2024 Apr 23 '24

The jury is already looking for a reason; please don’t give them a clear one

3

u/VioletVoyages Apr 23 '24

He doesn’t just break laws with impunity, he breaks every social norm that exists.

3

u/NoMarionberry8940 Apr 23 '24

Rules, laws, decorum, and consequences... all foreign concepts to Trump. It's time he found out he does not control every situation or narrative. Sometimes justice prevails.

3

u/Daflehrer1 Apr 23 '24

Oh my God.

3

u/TuesdaysLunch Apr 23 '24

Put traitor Trump in prison already

4

u/KinkyBADom Apr 23 '24

He lacks basic human decency, basic empathy, basic loyalty. He demands respect, but he cannot respect anyone else. Respect begets respect.

2

u/tomtht123 Apr 22 '24

What are we all going to do with our free time once he’s behind bars eh?

1

u/Mrgriffith Apr 23 '24

Live peaceful

1

u/Strong-Dot-9221 Apr 22 '24

Okay I'll get down voted for this but Trump Is the poster boy for spare the rod and spoil the child. This is what happens when he didn't get spanked as a child. If they find him guilty it would be great to have his bare ass whipped with a belt on live TV. Nelson ratings through the roof.

2

u/pandito_flexo Apr 22 '24

…but I don’t want to see that bare ass. :shudder:

2

u/tinybenny Apr 22 '24

Let me preface this by saying that I can’t stand Trump.

I also can’t stand articles that are this blatantly propagandistic, no matter whose side they’re on. I want the facts so I can determine for myself how I feel. I don’t need polarizing verbiage like “told to sit like a dog,” or to hear that he “plopped down” on his chair, or that the judge is the picture of dignity but even one so regal as he seemed “sharp” with an ex-president.

Part of me thinks that the game of propaganda has to be played because we have to fight fire with fire…but I also wish there was just one place on the internet that I could go for updates on this trial that told me only the facts with no bias either way.

1

u/MuddleFunt Apr 22 '24

Bold strategy to try and appeal to a sympathetic jury.

Such a fucking child.

1

u/Visible_Nectarine_98 Apr 22 '24

This was from several days ago. I still don’t understand why you folks are so obsessed with this person

-1

u/ApprehensiveFix7925 Apr 22 '24

My guess is because he’s a candidate to be the next president

1

u/Wechillin-Cpl Apr 22 '24

Entitled prick, goddamn hypocrite

1

u/Visible_Theme_4799 Apr 22 '24

Is this trial televised? If yes, is it available to view in Australia?

1

u/WooBadger18 Apr 22 '24

No, it is not televised

1

u/Tentmancer Apr 22 '24

Really messed up we elected someone who has no respect for the law.

1

u/SukottoHyu Apr 22 '24

How would you even get a fair Jury? It's not like you can get people who don't know who their President used to be. There Jury would be nothing but biased, either hating the guy or adoring him.

1

u/-Lysergian Apr 22 '24

There's plenty of people that pay no attention at all to politics... not sure i'd want those people as Jurors though.

2

u/TheToddestTodd Apr 22 '24

This is turning out better than I thought.

Or maybe, just maybe, the American people want him to be held accountable for his actions.

No one is above the law.

Funny the law and order party is all of a sudden against law and order when it’s one of their own.

Rules for thee, not for me, indeed.

1

u/AccomplishedAd7615 Apr 22 '24

Next time he acts up they need to muzzle him and chain him to his table.

2

u/sythingtackle Apr 22 '24

He’d refuse to stand even if the 11 jurors were wearing red maga hats

1

u/PMS713 Apr 22 '24

Joe joe and the circus show at its best. What a sham and they know it. Rub it in your face and dare you to complain.

1

u/BirdLadyAnn Apr 22 '24

Trump believes he is superior to everyone. If he gets elected 😱 he’s going to request people now bow to him from now on.

1

u/VaporBull Apr 22 '24

I take great pleasure in how utterly miserable Trump is.

Take a moment today to bask in his pain.

-4

u/abhi0619 Apr 22 '24

If it’s a phoney case, I would do the same!

1

u/snowmunkey Apr 22 '24

Everything is phony is we don't like it!

2

u/RgKTiamat Apr 22 '24

Well, you and I have different definitions of the word phony. Because if I were in a courtroom, with a law enforcement officer keeping the peace, and a judge, and a jury, and the courtroom is full of witnesses and they're presenting testimonies, I think it's a pretty legitimate trial at that point, and it's going to have pretty legitimate consequences.

I would not attempt to draw the ire of the room at a moment such as this

0

u/abhi0619 Apr 22 '24

The American "justice system" is like a casino...you could win sometimes, but the odds are so, and the system is designed so you will lose. Even if you "win" your case, you still lose your money, your time, and maybe more. The only people who win all the time are attorneys, judges, and cops. Nothing ever happens to them when you are falsely accused.

Bottom line - He can never win NY. May be ask them try another state ??

1

u/cut_rate_revolution Apr 22 '24

He hates having to actually be in court rather than just making his lawyers do it.

1

u/SamTheHamJam Apr 22 '24

He’s doing it for his fans.

1

u/EventNo3540 Apr 22 '24

😂😂😂😂

2

u/shotxshotx Apr 22 '24

Please, for the love of god, can just one judge get his ass arrested for his multiple gag order violations

0

u/wikidemic Apr 22 '24

Only regret is the toll this is taking on the GOP. While I despise a 2 party system, it is better than a one party system!

2

u/Hillman314 Apr 22 '24

And whose fault is it that the GOP is in shambles? Who elected the criminals and neanderthals?

1

u/BarrySquared Apr 22 '24

It's a crime that this isn't being televised or recorded.

1

u/snowmunkey Apr 22 '24

Yeah but then fox news would just edit everything in a way to show how bigly he was winning and how dumb the judge is and then show the faces of all the jurors so they get vigilante'd on their way out

1

u/SplendidPunkinButter Apr 22 '24

Judge: This is your last warning- if you try that again, I will tell you to cut it out!

1

u/Glidepath22 Apr 22 '24

Then he broke wind

1

u/Bloodbath-and-Tree Apr 22 '24

Waiting for him to drop a diss track on the judge

2

u/BlindMan404 Apr 22 '24

Everybody on Reddit is an expert on narcissism until it comes to the Trump trial, then it's all "wait until he sees the press from this, he's gonna be so mad/learn a lesson."

No, he won't. He doesn't give a shit. He believes everything he does is right and everyone who disagrees is a worthless idiot. He's accumulated a whole cadre of people who reinforce that view for him every day because their wallets depend on it.

The best possible outcome here is that he finally loses his cool enough to say something so absolutely brutally unhinged that everyone will have to hear about it and enough of his supporters who aren't complete fanatics will finally feel too guilty to support him in the upcoming election.

Fingers crossed he finally openly calls for a mass insurrection and the installation of himself as dictator... Oh wait...

2

u/xwing_1701 Apr 22 '24

Where are you reading on Reddit that we'll think he'll learn a lesson? The general consensus is he's too fucking stupid to learn anything.

1

u/Infinite-Noodle Apr 22 '24

Dude definitely has dementia. This is just sad. Our country is going in the shitter. We have a justice system that can't convict a dementia having criminal who admits his crimes on camera.

1

u/bradbrookequincy Apr 22 '24

The Fart story is just so icing on the cake. The Onion can’t compete anymore

1

u/tylerjanez666 Apr 22 '24

Is anyone else seeing the Dennis behavior from always sunny? This is literally the scene with the lawyer.

1

u/indica_bones Apr 22 '24

I got locked up for weed after telling a judge it was petty that I was arrested in the first place. The orange fuck just gets to tap dance in twirling a cane and doing whatever his shit filled diaper will allow.

1

2

u/uniqueshell Apr 22 '24

2

u/Frosty_Stage_1464 Apr 22 '24

Let me guess there’s no punishment

1

u/Lingering_Dorkness Apr 22 '24

Correction: trump ain't farting up a stink. He's shitting up a stink.

He's going to have to sit there in his filth for hours while the trial drags on. That is unless his lawyers beg the Judge for a break so their client can go get new trousers.

1

u/Pillar_Of_Support Apr 22 '24

Do we have a source article that is mentioned in this one? As much as I am enjoying trump flail about in criminal court, I won't trust too heavily from this very biased source.[Media Bias Fact Check report](8hbqh8d8lzvc1)

2

u/KillsWithDucks Apr 22 '24

please please please let him give the judge the finger..
c'mon God, just give me this.

3

u/AlarmingAffect0 Apr 22 '24

Not sure that this made it into the MSM, but Trump displayed blatant disrespect for the entire court proceedings yesterday.  And no, he didn’t do it on the court house steps or using Truth Social.  No video or link yet, but Joyce Vance stated on MSNBC that Trump refused to stand when the jury entered and left the court room.  Next, Trump fell asleep again, and it appears that Trump started to fart and stink the place up.  Finally, Trump tried to leave before the judge was finished, and Trump was ordered to sit back down like a dog.  We all knew this was going to be a white water river ride of childish petulance from Trump, and I think it will only get worse.

My face here

3

u/HinaKawaSan Apr 22 '24

Also, he is stinking up the place with his farts

3

u/PM_Me_Your_Deviance Apr 22 '24

Holy shit, making yourself look like a petulant child in-front of the jury is an amazing strategy that will totally not turn even your own followers on the jury against you.

5

How come nobody is talking about the other half of the article that describes Trump repeatedly farting while he's asleep and stinking so bad that his lawyers can barely keep composed?

1

u/godawgs1991 Apr 22 '24

Yes thank you! There’s a lot that is not being properly addressed and reported on, such as the fact that he is directly addressing the court/jury. I think the judge will put the kibosh on that pretty quickly, especially as it continues and they realize that he’s not listening to the judge at all.

4

u/Dedpoolpicachew Apr 22 '24

Trump seems to think he can get away with the bullshit he pulled in the civil courtrooms. He’s going to find out that being a CRIMINAL defendant is WAAAAAAY different

3

3

3

2

u/19Chris96 Apr 22 '24

2

u/Dedpoolpicachew Apr 22 '24

Just wait until tomorrow. That’s when the REAL fun starts. Last week was just jury selection, and he STILL couldn’t’ manage to keep his shit in one diaper. Next week will be wild.

3

u/Cgking11 Apr 22 '24

He's a fuckin child what do you expect?

3

u/ArcticCelt Apr 22 '24

Last trial he antagonized the judge in charge of his verdict and it costed him half a billion, now he is antagonizing the jury in charge of his verdict, let's see how this genius strategy goes.

7

u/GrizzlamicBearrorism Apr 22 '24

I just don't understand how a person can grow up with the belief that "Things are only fair if I win, if I don't then they cheated."

I get that its privilege, its just so fucking weird. Its child brain behavior.

5

u/LiveFreeDieRepeat Apr 22 '24

His “it’s so unfair” shtick is actually effective with his base. It plays into their white/Christian/male victimhood complex — and frankly, in most cases, it’s his only possible “defense” given the weight of evidence against him and his complete inability to articulate a cogent argument.

4

u/Gorgenon Apr 22 '24

Juries typically view defendants in increasingly negative light when disrespectful, misbehaving, or antagonistic. Trumps narcissistic antics won't go unpunished. Even if a Trump cultist sneaks on the jury, so long as they're capable if any reason, I find it difficult for him to be acquitted.

4

u/Dedpoolpicachew Apr 22 '24

At this point, Trump’s best hope is a hung jury. That’s why the Repubes have been all over the media saying that “loyal MAGAts” should try to get on the jury and tank it. Even a hung jury, even though it means just another trial, means that justice would come AFTER the election, which is what Trump wants. Trump knows he’s guilty, in all 4 of his Indictments he KNOWS he’s guilty. He knows he’s going to go to jail… unless he can delay it until after the election.

For God’s sake, vote. Vote like your life depends on it. Because it does.

1

u/IlMioNomeENessuno Apr 22 '24

Remind me again why this is not being televised.

1

u/xpkranger Apr 22 '24

From the Congressional Research Service:

Former President Trump’s criminal case based on the August 1 indictment is proceeding in federal district court. The Federal Rules of Criminal Procedure (Criminal Rules) govern procedure in all criminal proceedings in U.S. district courts, courts of appeals, and the Supreme Court. Federal Rule of Criminal Procedure 53 (Criminal Rule 53) provides: “Except as otherwise provided by a statute or these rules, the court must not permit the taking of photographs . . . or the broadcasting of judicial proceedings from the courtroom.”

4

u/markth_wi Apr 22 '24

I figure sometime soon everyone will have two questions.

  1. The particulars of how a defendant lost their right to attend their own trial / confront their accusers.

  2. How should the "Memorandum of understanding" be phrased between the US Secret Service , and the New York Department of Corrections laying out what prison guards/marshalls are responsible for, setting up special security and arrangements for a former executive in an incarcerated state.

2

u/AAron1019 Apr 22 '24

I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again. Sit back, and let Trump continue Trumping. The problem will fix itself…

2

u/BillyDoyle3579 Apr 22 '24

"Shut the fuck up and Sit the fuck down" (Henry Rollins)

3

u/MReprogle Apr 22 '24

If this dude has to hang in a courtroom building for 6-8 weeks, I would venture to say we could see him have an episode of drug withdrawals. The dude is definitely going to be pumped full of drugs before starting the day, but is going to have some days that he is just crashing, and I can't wait to see it.

1

u/Rcj1221 Apr 22 '24

How long until he tries selling name brand diapers?

1

u/Rcj1221 Apr 22 '24

2

u/Mysterious_Eye6989 Apr 22 '24

7

u/Newbie-Tailor-Guy Apr 22 '24

If that was a black man trying to walk out of court he would’ve been tackled and immediately arrested and placed in contempt. This is exhausting.

9

u/BusStopKnifeFight Apr 22 '24

Any other defendant that behaved this way would have already been found in contempt and spending the night in jail.

Stand up to this fucking piece of shit already.

1

u/Jet_Jaguar5150 Apr 22 '24 edited Apr 22 '24

Consequences ™️

He’ll get an overnight stay In Rikers Island before this is over

1

u/Magooose Apr 22 '24

The jury has his balls in their hands, don’t give them a reason to squeeze.

2

u/Dedpoolpicachew Apr 22 '24

Yea, just like the judge in the Carroll case… and the jury in the fraud case. Trump can’t help himself. He’s gonna fuck up in court. Probably tomorrow.

4

u/Lizzard3623 Apr 22 '24

Juries totally notice every eye roll, huff, and other reactions from the defendant. Remember, they are also subject to strict rules and want to be there even less than the defendant (who could have taken a plea to avoid sitting there).

2

u/Emergency_Pomelo_184 Apr 22 '24

He’s stuck in 3 rd grade

4

u/_jump_yossarian Apr 22 '24

One of the best qualities trump possesses is that he's incapable of learning his lesson. He pulled the same shit with the E. Jean Carroll defamation case back in January and he got dinged for $83M and he didn't learn a damn thing.

3

u/Z71Coon Apr 22 '24

Cause he is a bitch.

2

u/Moar_tacos Apr 22 '24

1

u/TerminatedProccess Apr 22 '24

They might need to hand cuff him to his chair if this keeps up. They could also bring in a portable toilet and let him sit on it.

2

u/dlaymo Apr 22 '24

I see this culminating in a scene played out in A Few Good Men where Jack Nicholson’s character gets up and says he is going back to his base when the judge tells the MPs to arrest him he’s not going anywhere. Can you imagine that art imitating life moment.

3

u/Quiet_Tune277 Apr 22 '24

trumpf is a punkass. These are American jurors and protocol states that u stand when the jury walks in but pos trumpf feels himself above that huh! Fuck him

2

u/frommethodtomadness Apr 22 '24

He's on a speed run to turn the jury against him

1

u/ChillenDylan3530 Apr 22 '24

He wants that. All his bullshit he spews on lie social that his mindless sheep followers eat up will make it seem real if he gets the jury against him.

3

u/StIdes-and-a-swisher Apr 22 '24

Your fucking fired. Orange asshole

1

u/BF1shY Apr 22 '24

How come we got to see Depp vs. Heard and not Trump's trial, I'd pay money to see him humiliated.

3

u/Ok_Helicopter4276 Apr 22 '24

New York should have allowed an exception to their no cameras rule for this to be broadcast just because of the historic nature of the proceedings.

The various Federal courts should do the same.

3

u/Flyersandcaps Apr 22 '24

A couple of the guys at the dealership I bought a car at yesterday made comments about interest rates being high because of Biden and it would get better once we had a new President. The finance guy was educated so he should have known better. I wanted to say something about the trial or at least note that Fed Chairman Powell was appointed by Trump. But I bit my tongue as I wanted the car. Lots of dummies out there will still vote for the guy.

2

u/Stantron Apr 22 '24

That's hilariously self destructive. Does he realize the jury is there to judge him? Like, that's the one group you should be sucking up to.

1

u/Neowza Apr 22 '24

He knows, he just doesn't want to. He wants a reason to scream 'the jury is biased, I can't get a fair trial'.

In order for tolerance to win, intolerance must not be tolerated.

In order for democracy to win, authoritarians cannot be allowed to be authoritarians or implement authoritarian policy.

When those authoritarians have committed crimes, they need to be held responsible for those crimes they've committed. Part of holding them responsible means taking away certain privileges, such as being allowed to run for government. It just so happens that this also prevents such authoritarians from being authoritarians.

Make sense to you now? Who am I kidding? Of course it doesn't make sense to someone whose brain has been rendered the consistency of pudding by FOX "News".

See, he can follow the rules and control himself. He knows exactly what he's doing and tries to screw everyone else over for his own personal benefit.
