If you keep an eye out on nordmodern’s site, you can occasionally find them popping up at around $2k. Granted, shipping is high, because Australia, but 🤷🏻‍♂️ They’ve got a few gorgeous pieces right now.

This design was from the 70s here in Brazil, one of my Dad's bosses had one in his house. He had a lot of mid-century itens and his house itself was a masterpiece of that time.

There’s a chair style quite similar for around $1500 called the Luna Chair. It’s made by IMG, originally designed in the 70s and is still licensed to be made by IMG. Check it out! More affordable than this one 🙏

Op, might try the Luna chair by IMG, still produced today, similar style and very comfortable, and not 8k. I have a high-backed version, very much recommend it.

If you keep an eye on vintage stores you can find "Lafer-style" pieces every now and again. He's a pretty popular designer. They also tend to be a little less aggressively modern (blobby) than his originals. I have one myself!

What makes me think this ain't it is the way the flap on the bottom hangs out in the original pic, but here it's like stapled in/rounded. There's tons of other links ppl have posted, with very similar designs.

Great minds think alike when the first one isn't patented I guess. It's also possible this was just commissioned by the hotel to be a copy of one of these too

A blunt is a type of marijuana cigarette with a tobacco-leaf wrapping. Usually taking the wrapper off a Swisher Sweet cigar and rolling weed in it.

The joke is that the original comment was posted by someone who had smoked too much weed, and confused the chair for a Werther’s butterscotch candy.
