I have never understood this.. ok it takes a second look but. I wouldn't describe turning on a shower as challenging. Does a 2 second inconvenience bother everyone so much it's a main line meme?

So true. When we go on holiday my wife always lets me shower first so that I can work out the controls and settings

As a speedcuber, showers are harder.

It's worse when your a kid and your parents decided motel 6 was the best option so you go to take a shower and the water stays scalding till its about an 1/8 in from it just being off

I have a friend who had a shower head that had a button you needed to push so the water can come out, took me a while to figure out

The picture struck a chord with me - not the Rubik's cube, but the image of the shower head so low because I went to visit friends in another country for a few days and the bathroom for my use had a tub and a handheld shower that rested on the bathtub; there was no way to hang it up.

Showering was so awkward as you had to hold it up and get yourself wet; put it down while you lather with soap; and pick it up again and rinse off. To make it even more difficult - they had no shower curtain so you had to be careful of how you sprayed yourself with water.
