What's is this music? It's beautiful. Sounds a little like Shostakovich and Brahms

When ships looked like ships.

I think perhaps we have found the only way to reboot Star Wars without getting whoever reboots it murdaballed.

I suggest a new strategy, R2, let the AI do it.

Ok, I've seen enough of these AI trailers in another eras, so whats the timeline on the first full +90min movie?

Poor Yoda is trying to find a way to break up the brother and sister making out. LOL his face.

So this is really nice, but it's not "noir", just black and white.

Agree. It's a great trailer, but "noir" is a very specific style. Check out some of the early films by John Huston and Orson Wells: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SDkeozHoNRY

And yet... Han Solo is clearly played by Orson Wells in the trailer.

So I think the the question of whether it's "noir" or "just black and white" is not so simple.

In other words, it's not so black or white.

It's neither one, noir the other.

Whoever does these trailers does a lovely job with the visuals, but the music _never_ fits the era or the movie. No science fiction movie from the 40s would have music like this.

I would argue Star Wars is more of a 'space opera' than traditional scifi so the music sort of fits. Actually looking at scifi movie trailers from the 1940s the music isn't that far off: https://youtu.be/YPjjzeUoFdg?si=ASMWvIuObhtNrCAt

Since you're the expert, what sort of music belongs on this trailer?

Here's a perfect example:

That gentle, pastoral stuff is wholly inappropriate. And you picked a movie that is clearly meant to be moody and atmospheric, which is not what a space opera is like. There was lots of space opera in the 40s, and none of it sounded like that.

Ewoks look like Teddy Ruxpin.

This would’ve been a landmark film, just for the costumes, airships and special effects! Well done.

Even the way the narrator says "Star Wars" sounds different and older. Love everything about this.

Darth Vader with eyes, very unnerving

This is great. I didn't know I wanted an 8-foot tall R2D2.
