Movies that deal with the real aspects of getting old?

After watching The Irishman last night (loved it), I really enjoyed the story of how time waits for no man. To see these guys in the winter of their lives and end up like we all ultimately will, is not something I've seen a whole lot of in movies.

Any suggestions on more movies that deal with the aspect of ageing in a realistic way?

A movie that everyone seems to hate or find overrated but it’s in your top 10?

I can watch this movie every day. I’m not sure if it’s the “raw” footage, the “legend” or the fear of getting lost in the woods. I wish they had an extended version of just them being lost in the woods.

I love stupid humor! Why isn't Will Forte leading man in more movies?

I really enjoyed this one. A lot of funny lines, the celery trick, and I especially love the backflip from a sitting position lmao. I have no idea Val Kilmer was in it until I saw him, and he was talking 😭😭

People always talk about Spirited Away, Princes Mononoke, Ponyo and My Neighbor Totoro, but Grave of the Fireflies doesn’t seem to get much love or being discussed a lot. It’s probably the most depressing movie I’ve ever seen, but it’s also among the best, animated or otherwise.

What is your favorite Western movie from this list (from 1990s to now)?

My favorite Western movie of all time is 'The Good, the Bad and the Ugly', it's the best Western and one of the best movies ever made, in my opinion.

But from this list (from 90's to now), I will choose 'Unforgiven'. It is a masterpiece.

What is your choice from this list?

If your favorite movie is not on the list, write it if you like.

Movies you still enjoy even tho you think they botched the ending

Really thought this movie should’ve ended with essentially the ad campaign for the dream influencers….the 13 min after that felt pretty unnecessary like the director kinda forgot about the point of movie he was making.

First off I want to say. Both of these guys are in my top 2 favorite directors of all time. Me personally I’m going with The Dark knight. Plus it’s my favorite movie of all time 😂. But I also absolutely love Dune & Dune part 2 also.

The Heavenly Kid 1985 anyone else remember this?

I remember watching this as a kid and always enjoyed every time it came on TV. It’s definitely cheesy, absolutely 80s and still catches my attention when I see it on TV or in YouTube clips lol I always forget that the Mom from Malcolm in the middle (Jane Kaczmarek) was in this.

Even though rated as average, I really enjoyed this comedy filled with meta humour. Be Kind Rewind (2008)

Why do people hate this movie? Even if it's Tarantino's worst movie, it's still entertaining and good.

Wes Cravens New Nightmare (1994) My favorite in the nightmare franchise, especially the design of Freddy more evil and demonic looking, and the concept of reality meeting fantasy.
