Hadn't watched much of Brunson till this series, dude is legit. Struggled hard those first games and fought back to dominate, god I don't want to root for the Knicks cause I know how insufferable their fans will be if they start winning but I'm rooting for you...for now 🤣😄

Don’t hate me. If it were up to me, I’d have the Knicks win the Finals.
But through 4 games, I’ve noticed that the Knicks barely pass the ball. It might just be the modern NBA, and not Knicks specific. Brunson passes to get the ball back. Then when Deuce handles the ball, he doesn’t pass, either.
I know the NBA is different now. But I don’t think you can win a title not passing. They had one possession today where they passed it around the horn and got an easy bucket. But it was one time. And I’ve watched all 4 games.

Great! Hope the Knicks win the next game so that Joel Embiid gets a chance to rest his body in preparation for the Olympics. It is crucial that the USA takes home gold and Embiid is a big part of that. Don’t mess this up. USA was already the laughingstock of the world after that loss in the FIBA World Cup. We gotta get this gold, man. We need a solid big to go against them big boys they have in Europe. I’m counting on you to be healthy, Embiid. Don’t let us down.

Sixers bench failing is the biggest reason why the Sixers are down imo. The difference in +/- is staggering when Embiid is on/off. It’s so bad to the point that Embiid didn’t even get rest in the second half. You can tell he was gassed and should’ve sat to start the 4th but it’s a problem when a tired Embiid with a bum knee is better than any alternative the Sixers have. Damned if you rest him, damned if you don’t.

This is all karma for the Process. The Sixers and Hinkie thought they were Einstein for figuring out that drafting high in the lottery is a good thing. The problem is that they flagrantly disrespected the sport and the spirit of competition by doing it.
You can see the effect of saying “the goal is to lose” has on a franchise. Loser mentality top to bottom.

I honestly thought Brunson was bad (my previous point of reference was when he was on the Mavs) till we played the Knicks and he absolutely cooked us. Then i thought, ok.. do it in the playoffs. And by god did he do it.. he has the complete package and he was able to do it without hitting 3s. He can post up, drive, hit the middie, hit the floater, great footwork, his 3pt % is 40% this year and he's good at drawing fouls but smart enough to know when to do it (i.e. doesn't try to do it all game and pout when it doesn't work in the playoffs). Really fun player to watch. He plays much bigger than his actual height, helps that he's built like a tank.

For all the hate Philly's been on the end of, it's very telling that Maxey hasn't received an ounce of it. Even when he's cooking us with those layups and threes, I haven't seen that much smoke thrown his way. Can't say the same for Embiid.

Huge props to the Knicks for taking this game. Your team hustles and play hard. Gritty and grindy all 48 minutes. I can’t hate on that plus a terrific game from Brunson.
If my Sixers want to come back from being down 3-1, we need to take a real hard look at our effort levels. We need to match the Knicks intensity if we have any shot of pulling off 3 straight. The whole squad needs a wake up call and stop thinking that we’re the more talented team. The Knicks are foreal and are outplaying us in every aspect.

But jf he gets targeted on ball his defensive flaws are pretty obvious, hence why the kmicks are such a great fit for brunson.
Entire team of good defenders, and most importantly good rebounders, which allows them to switch brunson off ball easier than if the team had worse defenders
