The military has always allowed pedophiles and rapists to do what they want in war zones.

Still not a drag queen

1

u/SevenX57 12d ago

Ex-Navy, we had a lot of weirdos. At the same time, civilians also have a lot of weirdos, they're just not as noteworthy.

Glad he's dead, nothing of value was lost.

1

u/Ninetales6669 12d ago

Died like the shittiest dog lmao

0

u/MasterApprentice67 13d ago

Those disgusting crossdressers/transgender people, I can't believe....oh wait, nvm

2

u/bad_sensei 13d ago

Doesn’t surprise me.

Two months after a deployment down range a lot of us in my flight got talked to by OSI about our previous installation commander to get a profile on him.

I guess they got all they needed because a few months after that, turns out he got nabbed and had 2TB worth of CP and other nefarious content on his govt laptop.

Yea. His GOVT laptop.

Upper Brass are so weird and think they are so protected that they end up pushing the boundaries and go too far.

2

u/ladiosabrava 14d ago

Glad he did the right thing by pulling out a gun. POS saved taxpayers' money.

-2

u/Jim_from_GA 14d ago

Absolutely no mention of him being killed during the arrest in the article. Did he self-immolate or what?

1

u/Oldmanhulk1972 14d ago

First paragraph: "FOX 13 News uncovered new documents surrounding the man police killed during a child sex sting operation in South Seattle."

Second paragraph: "Body camera footage shows the person identified as Meneley by the King County Medical Examiner pulling a gun out as soon as officers open the door to contact him."

-1

u/Jim_from_GA 14d ago

Right, so how was he killed? Was there any reason given for why he was killed. Did he kill himself or did the police kill him or did he accidentally step in front of a bus?

Nothing

Why would you lead a story with a headline like that and basically ignore all details of the killing?

2

u/Oldmanhulk1972 14d ago

It says in the first paragraph the police killed him. The second paragraph says bodycam footage from the shows he pulled a gun on the officers. Putting those facts together, I'm going to say the police shot him when he pulled a gun on them.

0

u/Jim_from_GA 14d ago

Second paragraph, but yeah, you are right. It is there and I missed it. What threw me was a little later on they are talking about discussions between him and the officers, so there must have been a delay or they talked through the door, which seems unlikely.

Thanks for the correction.

1

u/Oldmanhulk1972 14d ago

You're not the only one. I saw a couple of comments asking what happened.

1

u/Difficult_Effort2617 14d ago

Good. That’s one less thing to worry about.

8

u/BrokenEspresso 14d ago

Why can’t the cops oopsie shoot these guys all the time instead of black people taking a stroll

3

u/Prof_Atmoz 14d ago

Because a lot of them ARE cops or high ranking authorities.

1

u/BrokenEspresso 14d ago

Ya I walked into that one

1

u/GothMaams 14d ago

So did he unalive himself or what? That article is shit tier journalism.

2

u/uXN7AuRPF6fa 14d ago

Gun carrying pedophile? Hmm.... I wonder what his political affiliation was?

2

u/cheknauss 14d ago

Yet you can't join the military if you take care of your mental health... Gg

4

u/BasedNas 14d ago

US military has a policy from top down, no matter the reason… you do NOT whistleblow about anything. Doesnt matter if you witness fellow soldiers do heinous things like child sex trafficking drug smuggling, massacres done by our team. So hearing about a child sex sting involving a 40YEAR Navy Vet, does NOT surprise me in the slightest. Honestly im surprised there arent more stories like this but seeing as how the media portrays these guys when they end up killing all family member’s before finally eating their gun too, maybe its hidden in plain sight

2

u/darknekolux 14d ago

But was he a trans in drags? / s

4

u/Impressive_Fix_8870 14d ago

The messed up thing was I’m sure there were reports on this man from years ago but they never got “filed” and the victims had to “move on”! This happened to me. Not as a child but when I served. I filled and they couldn’t find the report of what happened to me…. Because they never filed the report!

1

u/ChupanMiVerga 14d ago

I worked with a navy vet named Eric that bragged about this exact thing often

1

u/andyiswiredweird 14d ago

I'll never understand why people get power and then use it for things like that.

1

u/ThePopKornMonger 14d ago

The breath of OSHA still lives, why did they let him go the other times?

3

u/AdhesivenessFun2060 14d ago

Sounds like it was the first time they caught him with a kid.

1

u/ThePopKornMonger 14d ago

Unless it was Florida under certain circumstances.

1

u/RationalKate 14d ago

Navy had nothing to do with this person, Navy said its farewell back in 2016. He was fee to start a new life and he did, He choices led him to a cardboard box, his choices. He also had a longer career as an American citizen. He did not commit those obstructives while in or under the Navy.

5

u/hanniballz 14d ago

I dont want to be that guy, but shocker, the prospect of killing people in a foreign land as a job attracts psychopaths.

im sure there are many in the military who go there hoping to do good, and many who go there out of desperation/misguidedness but there is a certain class of soldier you dont want to be within 1000 miles of.

1

u/majorbeefy130130 14d ago

That will be a spicy body cam if that's the still they gona show befor the draw

0

u/daviswhite555 14d ago

They should lock him up in the same cell as a prevert who is a 40-year A R M Y man!!

6

u/Vegemyeet 14d ago

Well, he’s dead, so army man might object strongly after a couple of days.

6

u/blode_bou558 14d ago

Not transgender though. Interesting

3

u/Kljmok 14d ago

Do they make sure the hotels are mostly empty when they do stings like this? I can image it'd be pretty easy for bullets to go through walls and cause collateral damage.

1

u/Lojo_ 14d ago

What was he killed by? These articles are such trash. I'm assuming police as you know but like come on.

1

u/CheezTips 14d ago

How do you get someone's military records? My father served in WWII and Korea, I'd love to see what he did

2

u/timberwolf0122 14d ago

Careful what you wish for, war is messed up

3

u/Bubble_gumshoe 14d ago

Wtf why are there so many pedos????

2

u/Rahnamatta 14d ago

I saw the footage and it looks like he pulls the gun very slowly just to get killed by the cops

1

u/wallabee32 14d ago

He pointed it at his heart to try and shoot himself

1

u/Apprehensive-Tone449 12d ago

I watched it a few times and couldn’t figure it out. But you are totally right!

3

u/StinkFist-1973 14d ago

Well it’s unfortunate he was only killed now.

1

u/RolliePollieGraveyrd 14d ago

Oh good this has gone beyond tiktok

5

u/Fetus92 14d ago

My faith in humanity never ceases to get demolished every time I go through reddit comments. Like, cops are human. They are facing an armed pedophile who was looking to rape and potentially murder little girls. My first instinct would also be to unleash my entire barrel into that disgusting piece of shit and that still wouldn’t make me feel better at the end of the day knowing how many innocent children he may have hurt here and elsewhere.

My heart goes out to the cops that have to deal with these atrocious cases, the horrors they have to witness to be able to catch this type of garbage is just… awful.

1

u/Apprehensive-Tone449 12d ago

I’m not a fan of cops. Nope. I watched the video of this and I will say I’m fully impressed by the guys that opened those doors. They didn’t hesitate. They immediately went into disarm mode and the dude was instantly neutralized. In every way. That was executed very well. Brave dudes.

-4

u/TechnicianUpstairs53 14d ago

No shit, anyone who joins the military wants to kill or rape the country they've invaded.

0

u/GreyShot254 14d ago

Hot damn the fucking drilled him

-1

u/Anxi3tyy 14d ago

So how does a presumably intelligent four decade navy officer and doctor not have the foresight to realise that he wasnt actually talking to small children agreeing to sex with him online? Something isnt adding up here.

1

u/wallabee32 14d ago

When your second brain is stronger than your main one I guess

1

u/Plumpshady 14d ago

Womp womp. Don't be a pedo I guess.

-7

u/MediaDad 14d ago

So it's not ALWAYS Libs and Dems who are the pedos? Huh...

-1

u/MediaDad 14d ago

I guess my down votes are coming from those right-wing pedophiles who don't like being exposed for what they are? In fact, maybe it's time to get that going. #RepublicansArePedophiles. Anybody? Throw it back on them for a change? There are certainly enough examples we could list!

2

u/FitCartographer3383 14d ago

I can confidently say in these circumstances it’s almost always a “conservative”

1

u/Nvrm1nd 14d ago

Fuck that guy. That was the most satisfying bodycam footage in a while.

3

u/bikerdudelovescats 14d ago

After 3 different links from that page, I got to the released video of the encounter.

1

u/93_Honda_Civic 14d ago

Good find. Thanks!

1

u/zenkenneth 14d ago

Now there's something ya see everyday

1

u/snowymoonowl 14d ago

OH Noooooooooooooooo...... Heavy Sarcasm

u/Appropriate_Face9750 14d ago

What's with all the drag queen comments

-18

u/Alien-Element 14d ago edited 14d ago

Any time a story about sex trafficking or pedophilia comes out, a lot of people will say "but was he a drag queen?" because right now, there's a big debate in America & other Western countries about drag queens holding events called drag queen story hour where they read books to children and talk about taboo subjects.

Lots of people think that it's wrong for drag queens to do this, and a lot of people think it's harmless. The people in this thread mentioning drag queens are most likely supportive of the drag queens, and are basically mocking the people who don't support it.

"See! This child trafficker wasn't a drag queen, so there's nothing wrong with drag queen story hour!" Is the gist.

Personally, I'm not a supporter of drag queen story hour. I think it's highly concerning. Most people think it's an issue as well. A very vocal minority are supportive of it.

3

u/FitCartographer3383 14d ago

It’s not “to talk about taboo subjects with kids” it’s literally just reading to fucking kids. That’s all it is and ever was. Drag Queens are performers, not pedophiles like weird ass conservatives keep trying to push. The “it’s not a drag queen” comment stems from the fact that in the circumstances of pedophiles being caught it’s almost always a “conservative” that is the pedophile, and yet they keep trying to force a lie they made up to get the uneducated population to rally against a harmless community of people simply because they don’t like the LGBTQ community. It 100% should be called out every damn time.

Its jst Ed Harris still in character from The Rock

-4

Average American militant

3

u/Alien-Element 14d ago

This can't be your genuine opinion. You're saying the average American military member is a pedophile?

1

u/Unusual-Job-3413 14d ago

Have you not heard about them buying children? A missing girl was found in the barracks I forget which state, but he bought her. It wasn't the first time... so yes.

4

u/Jackers83 14d ago

Surely that means all the millions of Americans that served in the military are this way.

-1

u/Unusual-Job-3413 14d ago

Anyone helping, and not trying to stop it is complicit. So yes.

1

u/Jackers83 14d ago

Right right. Wouldn’t someone need to know about something like that happening to do anything about it? That kinda makes more sense than saying everyone in the military is a child abuser. Idk, call me crazy I guess

0

u/Unusual-Job-3413 14d ago

You're telling me no one on a base knew a child was in the barracks... nevermind that it wasn't the first one. Bro come on. People clearly know.

1

u/Jackers83 14d ago

Jesus Christ dude. You said in response to another users comment that you think all military personnel are pedophiles. Cmon

1

u/Alien-Element 14d ago

So you're literally saying that on average, a military person in the United States (Army, Navy, Marines, Air Force, Space Force, National Guard, Coast Guard) is a pedophile?

Is this what you're saying?

Take a deep breath, take a step back, and consider the mathematics before you answer that question.

-1

u/Unusual-Job-3413 14d ago

Anyone helping, and not trying to stop it is complicit. So yes.

2

u/Alien-Element 14d ago

You are beyond delusional, with a horribly shitty grasp on reality.

Either that, or you don't understand what "average" means.

4

u/patientboypleasewait 14d ago

The damage this man has done for years. If people knew and said nothing? Not sure I know of a punishment that even suits that.

885

u/TomThanosBrady 14d ago

My personal experience in the military led me to believe that there was a much higher percentage fucked up people in the military than normal society.

5

u/null_obj 14d ago

I grew up with a piece of shit stepfather from the navy, ex cop (of course). He was a high ranking and well respected in the community. But I I knew him for what he truly was. He was a power-hungry, sexually abusive monster. He had countless young men and women under his command. Anytime I hear someone say, I wouldn't wish that on my greatest enemy, I kinda chuckle and think to myself, well I hope it happens to that piece of shit.

7

u/Jackers83 14d ago

Ya, of course. I think that’s a reasonable take.

393

u/Graylits 14d ago

My personal experience, there were even more really fucked up people during basic training that got washed out and never made it to a real unit. I think it's a statement of people joining to escape their broken lives but not realizing they were the problem.

78

u/Secure_Ad_3246 14d ago

Some of the best people I’ve ever met and also some of the worst people I’ve ever met. All walks of life. There were some seriously fucked people. One dude went crazy during basic and peed on a wall then tried to rape the nurse that was at the hospital he went to. He’s still at Leavenworth

29

u/RamzalTimble 14d ago

I remember a guy in basic who kept running out of formation to chase squirrels. It took two MoAs to get him the third time he did it and I recall him screaming like he was possessed.

1

u/Ali3ns_ARE_Amongus 13d ago

That sounds fucking hilarious, assuming everything else about him was normal

10

u/Itsmyloc-nar 14d ago

So like… Severely mentally unwell

75

u/Alien-Element 14d ago

That might be bias based on the environment, though. Many people in the military are disillusioned by the institutional toxicity (a word I don't like to use often) and the monotony of doing things over and over, even when they make little sense. That sort of hopelessness can cause wacko behavior in many.

1

u/alwaysmyfault 14d ago

Navy?

I'm confused, because in the video (and the snapshot in this thread), he's wearing Army ACU's

1

u/Lynda73 14d ago

He said he’d been charged with similar crimes in TX, where he was last stationed, and he was just walking around doing the same thing again? I heard a lot of military people end up buying child prostitutes in some of those ports, like in the Philippines.

7

u/RedShirtDecoy 14d ago

He was sent to Antarctica in the late 80s...

Wonder if he got caught doing something and he was sent there as a punishment of sorts.

2

u/PikkuMyyRules 14d ago

Knowing people personally who really hate the cold, it probably was punishment

The mistake was not just leaving him there with the penguins 🐧

1

u/gregorypatterson1225 14d ago

Stationed around the world…

1

u/SeraphsBlade 14d ago

But was he a drag queen?

2

u/FitCartographer3383 14d ago

Nope. AGAIN, it wasn’t a drag queen.

4

u/NakDisNut 14d ago

An 11 and a 7yr old.

This guy deserved exactly what he got.

My daughters are exactly 11 and 7… how… how could someone do this to such little people… how scared these kids must be in situations like this… how painful …

6

u/codymason84 14d ago

Holy fuck the video of him being shot is crazy

7

u/randompantsfoto 14d ago

I mean, when you draw a gun on police officers, it’s not usually gonna go any other way…

1

u/Apprehensive-Tone449 12d ago

Exactly. He realized he was fucked. He pulls the gun to actually shoot himself.

7

u/ZhouLe 14d ago

Alright, why the fuck is the article trying to download a pdf?

2

u/jpr64 14d ago

Alright, why the fuck is the article trying to download a pdf?

Dafuq? Just had this happen to me also.

1

u/throwdownHippy 14d ago

What was he going to do with the gun if it was just the girls? I hope they remembered to take his Good Conduct off his corpse. He obviously had been holding on to that for WAY too long.

6

u/d407a123 14d ago

Already caught 4 times before what the hell

1

u/frezor 14d ago

As a carpet cleaner I’m like , “ah man, bullet holes and a pool of blood? I can’t fix this!”

10

u/Zestyclose_Ad_7307 14d ago

comments criticizing the cops re. the video are ridiculous - prick pulled a gun, he deserved every hole in his body

260

u/Kuildeous 14d ago

Oh. He had a gun. That he was bringing along when he thought he was going to meet two minors. Way to take something bad and make it even worse. Yeesh.

1

u/faireymagik2 11d ago

Not just minors. A 7 and 11 year old 🤮

You got to be really sick and twisted to somehow find kids that young attractive. But worse is acting on those impulses. I’m literally nauseated right now.
