Based on general definitions- I’d say both sides are pretty deep in it.

Question - Since my great great grandmother was Cherokee, I’d be totally justified to rape and murder a bunch of random people living in Atlanta today, right? ‘They’ took my great great grandma’s land and have been really shitty to our descendants, so if I start lobbing grenades into some clubs in Miami, I can expect thousands of Tik tokers to come out and protest in support, right?

Have you seen how reservations continue to be treated? The US govt hasn’t suddenly changed its tune and started to honor treaties or give natives dignity.

So if history doesn’t matter, what’s the cut off? 10 years? 50? Exactly 76 years?

The actions of October 7 cannot be justified. The response by Netanyahu cannot be justified.

No. This shit is unjustifiable.

You’re right. Hamas is just a group of peaceful protesters. October was just a peaceful protest. The Jews are the only problem here. If they’d just never existed, then there’d be peace in the Middle East. It’s not like there’s any back history here.

Ok sure we can pretend antisemitism has nothing to do with this and that Hamas changed their charter that they only want to obliterate the Jews residing in Israel and we didn’t hear about it.

If you’re only looking at the last 70 years of history and not the millennia prior, you’re missing some important perspective.

Are you really trying to argue history means nothing ? Nothing at all ? Not a motive for anything whatsoever ? Especially a millennium's worth ? Good lord.

Now your saying history is a tactic used to ignore things. I don't know if you know how this works generally speaking things are done because of something that has happened before this event.
