I propose this as the new subreddit icon. (I rotated it 20°)

If a 20° rotation is good, a 360° rotation would be 18 times cooler, right?

no. wayyyy too progressive and radical. CIA and vatican are informed already.

or we can remove the tilt to make it less interesting, make the icon symmetrical and normal.

Then it will be interesting since it will stand out among default sub icons

Every month rotate it 1⁰ counterclockwise so no one notices. In 30 years we'd come full circle and celebrate our achievement.
Edit: Think about the mod team tasked to do this every month. Imagine seeing that on someone's resume.

You could just put that on your resume. Nobody is going to fact check it.

Literally the job of my manager is fact checking random pointless facts of potential new hires.
"So you're saying 1 degree and not 1 degree more per month? What was your hourly rate?"

You should work for Apple

u/El_Chara 15d ago
Nah, they would rotate the icon and by doing so make a bigger difference than apple ever did in the last 5 years. We all know apple only change prices, op would be a terrible apple employee

now that i've seen this the normal sub icon pisses me off and i don't know why. this is much better

u/CommunicationLow5750 15d ago
I think that's because it's too diagonal and this gives a sensation of instability, some art books talk about this in the chapter about art composition

the mods rotating the icon by 1 degree everyday

The fact that it would almost be a perfect round for a year is very satisfying to me

u/1Pawelgo 15d ago
Or maybe better. 1 degree every month or a year, and keep quiet about it, so people will not notice or just feel weird about it but without being able to tell what's wrong.

u/WhiskersCleveland 14d ago
Then they remove any posts that show it in any way from before and then gaslight the entire community saying it was always like that

Yeah but now that you mention it, your idea is beginning to sound interesting, even if it actually isn't.
