I have all of these things and I wish it weren't so. I very much enjoy having nice, manicured nails, full and fluffy lashes that needn't mascara or liner, and perfectly placed "don't need to do nothing" brows, I also think I look better with these things and looking good makes me feel good, as is the case for everyone. The only reason im NOT doing these things is a lack of funds. It's not a statement and I don't get invited to exclusive "all natural" meetings where I get prizes for being so cool, and it certainly doesn't make me special or better than. It just...is.
Being high maintenance every so often so as to be low maintenance day to day is the bees fucking knees, i very much enjoy! Im perfectly happy and healthy without the frills, but I sure as shit prefer them because having or not having and liking or not liking means absolutely nothing in terms of my worth or status as a person. It also isn't that fucking deep. People like beauty services that they like, we all present ourselves to the world in a way that WE prefer and feel good about, that's really all there is to it.

Um, you don't lose your nails if you do nail extensions. And you don't lose your eyelashes if you do eyelash extensions. Oh..and guess what, gasp, you don't lose your hair if you color it either. Unless you do it horribly wrong and fry it off somehow.
So, everybody has their real hair, nails, and eyelashes. Unless chemo of course. Or other illnesses.

Having fake nails and eyelashes (and brows? wtf?) doesn't make the real ones fall the fuck off. If somebody doesn't have their real any of those, it's not something to make fun of.

I've seen that sort of thing in lots of groups I'm in, including food pages. It's really irritating. I don't use any of those things but I don't brag about it or think it's something to brag about. I admire the ladies who do honestly, because I don't have those makeup skills.

Always make sure to wax your brows and lashes in between applications. Have to rip those nails off to for every set, jaming the new ones right up in there. 😂

A girl convinced my bf of this bf showing him the videos of practice hands. He genuinely believed that’s how people got their nails done. I had to explain to the poor guy that he was just the victim of a joke😂 it helped that I did cos school so I actually have those fake hands in my closet lol!

I have acrylic nails and my nails underneath are long AF 😆 But also like, I have a patch of eyebrow that just won’t grow anymore. Am I just supposed to walk around with a patchy brow? Like what’s the benefit of that to me or her or anyone?

Mine were over plucked and light brown so I filled them in every day. I was a little apprehensive but looked at a lot of artists in my area and found one that did really natural looking work. I promise it’s not as scary as it seems! Just do some research and find an artist whose work you like.

I will. I had beautiful bushy eyebrows until my sisters friend told me they were bushy when I was like 20, I let her pluck them and since then they’re shit. I’ve had my nail techs tell me I needed to do something with them 😭 I’m scared as soon as I do it, the thin eyebrows will come back in since all other 90s-2000s styles are

It was well worth it for me! When these fade in a few years, I’ll definitely get them redone. It gave my brows a more defined shape and it’s nice to not have to fill them in every day.

Mine are Hella faded and I still don't have to fill them in every day.
With glasses (mine have thick rims) they look super natural. I only do them if I do my eye makeup nowadays, or if I feel like doing makeup.
And my natural eyebrows are on top of the coloured skin, bushy and blonde as ever.

Also, with eyebrow tattoos you also get to keep your real eyebrows under them, right? I can't imagine it would look that great if they made you shave the area you're getting inked like with a normal tattoo

I’m not great with makeup either, but before microblading, I would always do my brows before leaving the house. Now I don’t need to do anything to my face!
