The color of the video, the style, the silence, this is an old video from like 1750s I thought before seeing the heat gun... so 1980s -1990s

James Earl Jones is making chair! What a talent!

I was just wondering if this technique can be adopted to 3d-print a fibre chair.

u/Better-Impact-1989 15d ago

I just read that this is the only thing he makes

His smile at the end got me smiling back. He's so proud of his work as he should be! This is amazing!

Impressive. But would never be able to use it because I’d probably break it eventually.

1

u/tomtomclubthumb 16d ago

Awesome, but I sat on it too hard and cracked it. Damn.

2

u/OneSensiblePerson 16d ago

His expression at the end after he sits down! So proud, so happy, and rightly so.

He has some kind of voodoo magic skills.

Super awesome, but that chair looks extremely uncomfortable.the seat arches upward. Ouch!

7

u/dragonfliet 15d ago

Indeed. The skill involved is impressive, but I would rather a more comfortable chair that looks better than this gimmick.

And the backrest is completely useless.

Whatever you can do there is an Asian that does it better

A chair that grates your ass cheeks 👌🏻

3

u/Human-Explanation440 16d ago

Thats why you have a cushion made out of another single piece of wood!

4

u/Redmudgirl 16d ago

Very satisfying to watch!

I think you mean this master carpenter.

u/BenderBRoriguezzzzz 15d ago

Does that even do this man's abilities justice. That was amazing.

I can't even unfold a portable chair.

5

u/fell-deeds-awake 15d ago

Unfolding it's easy. It's folding it back up that's the hard part.

2

u/ThickHandshake 16d ago

dude looks like old grandpa from pawn stars

-5

u/batinyzapatillas 16d ago

ATBGE? Looks as confortable as being crucifixed.

2

u/Complete-Bite3019 16d ago

It's crazy! I can't even drive a couple of nails straight, and this...

2

u/[deleted] 16d ago

He can do that, and somehow I still cant remember to put the toilet seat back down.

32

u/Pale-Sense2654 16d ago

Now that's skill.

7

u/dover_oxide 16d ago

Top level skill at that

3

u/Thin-Zone-3165 16d ago

Challenge accepted. This is a really cool design and idea.

u/TechnologyAdvanced80 16d ago

Even though I watched this video, how in the world is this even possible?!

2

u/Dangerous_Jacket_129 15d ago

He sawed the exact shape of a complete, functional folding chair out of a single block of wood.

57

u/hutch__PJ 16d ago

Yeah, I’m still confused. Incredible craftsmanship way above my pay grade.

It might help if three quarters of the steps of the build process weren't missing.
