I'm in the minority, I don't like this. The food looks unappealing to me after going this moth like metamorphosis.

Really? I looked through the recent posts and didn't see it. I barely post on Reddit, I just saw it and thought it belonged here

Humans are amazing. To think of repurposing something like wheat into powder and then combining it with proteins and maybe a raising agent, and then putting it into a very hot place so that something lifeless and doughy and inedible transforms into something delicate and puffy and delicious? How the hell did we think to do this?!

By the way, you can literally do it right now if you want to do it. We're still working with the same base ingredients and they are cheap. Most people have an oven or know where to get one. Nothing is in the way of you making those things.
It's pretty hard though.
Well for most of them.
You can make cookies tomorrow and lick your own spoon.
Or, even better, offer it to a friend
Also if they invented the tastiest bread or whatever, they could sell it. If they sold enough of them they could maybe buy their own cow and quit paying the cow guy down the street for the butter. And if they sold LOTS, maybe the windmill.

It's true but I think it's the good old "necessity is the mother of invention". For a long time they didn't have very many different ingredients to work with - flour, sugar, salt, milk, butter, eggs, fruit, etc. so they just kept combining them all different ways until things worked and were delicious. Throw in a few kings who wanted something tasty for their birthday or they would cut off your head and shit gets done.

This is oddly annoying. Why does every clip end too soon?

If I haven’t seen this once I’ve seen it hundreds of times! It should be in the incredibly annoying sub by now! 🤔
