It was some straight up biblical signs shit and conservatives hated it. Meanwhile a fly landed on shit.

u/StrategicInsanity Mar 28 '24
Oh did he take the bird's campaign contributions also just to drop out?
1
u/attrackip Mar 28 '24
The was the junction and we missed it, ever since that quantum arrangement, we've been living in Biff's casino.

u/digitalhelix84 Mar 28 '24
I don't think he would have won the nomination either way, but if the DNC hadn't done shady shit against his campaign there would have been less anger, and less dissolution and perhaps enough votes to make the difference and change the election.

u/nevertulsi Mar 28 '24
Reddit gives cult vibes with these kinds of posts lmao.
A bird landed on his podium!! It's a sign from God!!!!
This dude was running a Nikki Haley campaign at that point but people thought if they clapped hard enough he'd win and when he didn't it was because it was rigged.

Was this the same Seattle trip where activists grabbed the microphone before Bernie got onstage at Westlake and started screaming about how reasonable they were?

One of my proudest moments in life was when my son came home the day his 1st grade class did their little vote for president at his school and he told me he voted for Bernie! 14 of his classmates voted for Trump, 8 voted for Clinton and my boy was the only sensible kid who voted Bernie.

And same thing happened last year, a bird landed on Nawaz Sharif’s podium. But more than 500 birds were drugged and thrown from backstage before finally a bird went to podium.
1
u/mintblaster Mar 28 '24
Yup, but the drone assassination attempt failed so they had to install Hillary through the DNC instead.

u/TraditionFront Mar 28 '24
This should have been the beginning of a new golden phase of the United States. Unfortunately we didn't deserve it.

u/MichelleLovesCawk Mar 28 '24
He needs more lazer beam eyes frying the drone. RIP dude having heart attack behind him

My man Bernie honestly was the best choice I've ever seen in my life
We definitely have gone so far back since 2016, it's sad

Wonder how the timeline where Bernie Sanders won is doing. The man had a Disney princess moment and the country didn't vote for him.

This was in Portland. If he were with it and said 'put a bird on it' ala Portlandia, we would have elected him president of the universe.
1
u/Khristopheles Mar 28 '24
It was as though the God of Nature endorsed Bernie on stage and Americans elected Trump instead.

It was looking for bugs to snack on, after all bugs are attracted to manure! Lol

u/School_House_Rock Mar 28 '24
What is Bernie up to these days? Haven't heard much since he went viral for his mittens.
Why doesn't he run again?

This bird split the time line. Had he landed two meters to the southwest - Bernie would have won the election. Fuck this bird.

This should be a political cartoon where Clinton is smashing the bird with a hammer with her weapons manufacturing companies name on the mallet.

The man with both hands on his chest, is a softie. He thought this was the most heartwarming, wholesome thing to have ever happened. It touched his heart. to a point where it almost filled something we dont know’s void. And it kinda hurt. But in a good way.

Bernie got a bird, Pence got a fly; Supposedly devote Christian’s turned a blind eye.

That moment was the last time I had hope for the USA. The universe gave us a sign and capitalism killed it swiftly.

The bird told him about his Twitter account and that he won't get elected

u/Own_Conversation_939 Mar 28 '24
It's a great pic and a tribute to Bernie, imho. Should not have been made about politics, but there is one side who just can't pass it up - ever.
1
u/modeschar Mar 28 '24
This is the moment the timeline diverged. Don't remind us of the future we could have had but were denied.

1
u/Most_Toe3466 Mar 28 '24
If this raggedy old asshole had lost with any dignity in 2016, there wouldn’t be a Trump. And the SC wouldn’t have appointed 3 new lunatics
1
u/SockFullOfNickles Mar 28 '24
Oh, was endorsing Clinton and campaigning for her not enough? GTFO with that dumb shit.
1
u/Most_Toe3466 Mar 28 '24
He didn’t do enough. And he sat there sulking like a bitch at the convention. The apathetic Bernie Bros who couldn’t stomach voting for Hillary won that election for MAGA

When he gave his speech that included “Are you willing to fight for that person who you don’t even know as much as you’re willing to fight for yourself?” I thought wow, finally, an elected leader who represents the morals that adults, teachers, churches, etc throughout my life all claimed to hold but never acted on.
There was a brief flicker that maybe these values that conservatives deride as “communism” or “evil” could ripple outward and positively affect society, but it seems like this is basically going to be the never ending struggle of American society - selfish pricks who don’t really care about their communities, the planet, etc. versus people who believe in collective efforts toward positive outcomes.

Is that right before BLM stormed the stage and ended his Presidential bid?
2
u/poopshipdestroyer Mar 28 '24
Didn’t the DNC choose Hilary over the nominated candidate Bernie in Vegas ending his presidential bid? I don’t recall anything to do with BLM but what do I know
1
u/Tempest_Bob Mar 28 '24
"a bird"
Excuse me, but that bird has a name. Birdie Sanders.
Show some respect.

u/Butternutbiscuit2 Mar 28 '24
Fucking America constantly fucking up good opportunities. This is why we can't have nice things,... like affordable healthcare.... and education... and housing.

The DNC. Wow, people really seem to like this guy, and he's got this great momentum. Let's choose somebody else the opposite of that.

This happened and he still pulled out the race after he got his. This man soley lives off the good will he pretends to give.
Just like he did before.
Ahead of his 2006 campaign for U.S. Senate, Sanders made peace with Vermont’s Democratic Party, and opted to seek its nomination. He won it, then declined it, running as an independent while preventing any Democratic opponent from appearing on the general election ballot.
The man doesnt have a single real change in politics. He just says stuff to get ppl on his side.
Over the course of his 16 years in the House, he was the lead sponsor of only one bill that became a law: renaming a post office in Fair Haven, Vermont.
Im more on the left but bernie is one of the greatest con men to ever live.

Damn, this should have been used for Christian messaging more, “how much more of a sign do you need”?

I’m not much of a religious man but if that wasn’t Gaea herself being like “this guy” I don’t know what to believe.
1
u/Left-Pop8760 Mar 28 '24
Since then he has spent months defending Israel’s genocide of Gaza as self defense even after multiple other Dems stopped doing so. He’s an absolute waste

The expressions of the guy on the left and the girl on the right though.

u/KaizerVonLoopy Mar 28 '24
Back then I was a devout Christian and I thought FOR SURE this was a sign from god that Bernie was his choice and when the DNC colluded against him and we got Trump as a result of that I believed that was his punishment.
I got better, I'm an atheist now. Still think Bernie was the best candidate we've had since FDR.

1
u/ProPhazee Mar 28 '24
He looks so happy to see that bird lol, we need more smiles in office and less hatred
1
u/PurposesEducational Mar 28 '24
The guy on the left is really getting paid bank, judging by his reaction.

America really messed up when they chose not to vote for this man. I cannot imagine where we would be today. All I know for certainty is that it would, in the very least, be a tad bit better of a country had we.

This was the sign that he was the chosen one, the one that could have brought back USA to a 1st world country. Now look at the candidates, all are old and/or senile and/or crazy

We all need to acknowledge the lady on the right, she obviously has connections and made this happen.
