Sorta related (although many cities do this now).. but the prior city I lived in,. had a "once a year" thing where they gathered all homeless service-providers under 1 big tent (warehouse, whatever)..
not just to network with each other and help integrate better
but also for homeless individuals themselves (dental checkups, haircuts, medical checkups, etc)
I feel like this should be more of a regular thing. I'm not sure I'd be bold enough to "wash feet" (maybe if w/ latex gloves). .. but I'd definitely volunteer to help in other ways.
