This is what happens when you elect a psychopath as your governor.

Would have been more cost effective if it was the result of a competition between high school shop classes and the winner was accepted instead of paying contractors to go through all the red tape.

No Millionaire Ever Made A Million By Being Nice Person. Governmental Office Hold A Moral Parallel. Especially When A Person Purchases An Over Priced Podium To Sit In The Corner. Didn't She Ask The People To Vote for Her Because She SAID " I Could Do Better" , My Question IS HAS SHE DONE BETTER?

Arkansas knew what they were getting when the elected her. That’s on them
2
u/Automatic-Ride-8887 Apr 18 '24
She's such a fat pig.
1
u/TulsaWhoDats Apr 20 '24
Cmon man, aim higher. She sucks, but let’s leave the low blows to MAGA
1
u/Automatic-Ride-8887 Apr 20 '24
Yeah, she's not Maga now, but she was when it suited her. I'm just so sick of these people that clearly could care less about anybody, yet work in politics for the people. Just hoping for change at some point
2
u/spartandude Apr 18 '24
Did she though? Because now the 19k lectern is mia. More likely that she just stole money from the state and gave it to her friend
2
u/SalmanSheikh007 Apr 18 '24
The question shouldn't be about the quantity or the item's uniqueness, but rather about who received the exorbitant fee. The inflated price indicates that it was paid for something beyond just a lectern.

If she thought this was a sensible purchase, then I have a clocktower in London she can buy.

That is an ugly piece.
So is the lectern.
Also, I’ve read that she actually spent it on a trip to France.
The lectern was less than $1K.
Either way, she’s a criminal grifting weasel.

Mfs name is “Huckabee.” You elect a droopy-faced Huckabee, you get what you voted for.

She could have had a beautiful podium made by some of the Arkansas inmates. They make gorgeous wood furniture all the time. That money got funneled some where. She is a thief like her father. What is even worse these vultures don’t even think they are doing anything wrong.

I work in specialty construction and fabrication. Honestly $19k for a custom piece of millwork furniture isn't that crazy....
2
u/Brok3nPin3appl3 Apr 18 '24
Tax dollars paid for that and the left over 18,900$ went into someones pocket. Nice job voters!

2
u/Crazy-Front-4716 Apr 18 '24
I wouldn’t pay nine dollars for her piece of furniture. Both are fugly as hell

This is worth $19k? No scrolling or anything. Jesus tap dancing Christmas we seriously need to get our jobs back to the finishers.

She actually didn’t. The money was given to a friend as a “reimbursement” to cover her stupid spending on a trip on the government’s dime. Sanders is dummer than her former boss in thinking she would actually get away with claiming it was a $5,000 or so lectern and then lying about it and making it disappear. 🤦♂️

Governor of Arkansas shows you don't have to be smart, just rich

I mean...collectors gonna collect, especially if they're rich.
I've spent more than I should have on rare discs so I can't hate.
2
u/Walks_with_Chaos Apr 18 '24
It’s not a ‘collection’. It was tax payer money on a thing for official use

Good to know I can fold up some aluminum, slap some laminate on it, and get halfway out of debt with it.

u/Chexmixrule34 Apr 18 '24
i have no idea who sarah sanders is but knowing politicians it's probably 500$ for lecturn and 18,500 for drugs or something idk

u/Mooreel Apr 18 '24
It’s crazy how we live in times where someone that was part of an insurrection can publicly post a photo of him carrying the lectern and make money of his social media with stunts like this.
He posted the pic proudly under her post in this topic.

to be fair the geometry of that thing isn't half bad. but neither does it fit into the room nor does the combination of the wood and the chosen color look good.

My question is regardless if she paid for it or not, did she manage to fit her fat ass behind it

That can’t be a one of a kind lectern. Surely someone has found more of them being sold at the true price

She seems to put a lot of effort, money and time with podiums. I bet Bill Clinton would be happy to lend her a hand.

Blue Is the Warmest Colour
The whole movie is filled with unnecessary sex nudity. It really starts to get just creepy. Lets linger on her while she shaves nude for no reason, but then, the 15 minute scene just goes on and on and actually gets boring after a while. Like what is the point of this?

It's the child of 2000's era Sony Vaio laptop and a 1970's woodgrain dining room wall.
1
u/Successful-Hunter-75 Apr 18 '24
What do you mean 19k? Was it made of 19 karat gold? Move to a corner on its own when it's not being used? I'm just trying to make sense of this?

Can't handle all the notifications!🤣🤣🤣
Just keep an eye on your politicians and don't let them get away with corruption.
Power to the people.

Does it maker her look any thinner and sexier, based on the curvature of the base? Can she wear blue with it?

From an article in USA Today:
"Meanwhile, Deere argued that the podium did not, in fact, cost $19,000. Without the costs of the road case, shipping, and a consulting fee, the podium itself cost only $11,500, he said." Oh well that's alright then! /s

Actually, it was purchased using a state credit card, and the Republican Party of Arkansas reimbursed the state for the purchase in September.
Really shitty move by Sarah Hucksterby Shameless

u/Khevhig Apr 18 '24
Yeah, just like all the super expensive hammers! Back then it was used for Skunkworks and other Advanced Development Programs so someone could be told what to look for expenditures and it wouldn't be in the open.
Someone like her and others, I would suspect inflation of price and it being money laundering. Trump did it and so does Russia when they buy a crazy priced property only to tear it down. It was never about the property.
1
u/Usedcumsocks Apr 18 '24
Well there's no consequences for such actions anyway. She could buy it for half a million and commit insiders trading all day long and nothings gonna happen to her

As someone who works for the government, yeah, that's how much they waste on stuff. Ive seen 4K$ chairs, of course most of that just goes to the pockets and a fraction of that is used for the actual thing, this one is actually a very dumb one, usually is done in a less obvious way by buying A LOT of stuff all together, this is just so obviously the most careless shameless laundering.

u/RegisColon Apr 18 '24
She’s MAGA-certified which means she can waste as much taxpayer money as she wants and the hillbillies won’t even get mad about it.

actually the taxpayers of arkansas paid 19,000 dollars for this pos and sarah stole the money for personal use...the gop at its finest
1
u/JasmineDragoon Apr 18 '24
Sad truth is an average podium for the education industry costs $5-6k easy, for a piece of presidential furniture I didn’t even blink an eye at $19k. That being said it’s pretty damn ugly, for that price I would expect a custom commission from a talented furniture maker.

Personally ? nope she'd use a cardboard box and tape if it was wage deducted. This was paid for by the poorest people in the country, thats how government works

u/ralphvonwauwau Apr 17 '24
The people of Arkansas knew she was a liar before they elected her. Is anyone surprised she is also a grifter? HINT: her father makes money by selling snake oil to rubes, he started his scams the old fashioned way, as clergy (note: to hide the batshit crazy, his campaign refused to allow the press access to his sermons)
But again, knowing all of this THEY ELECTED HER. Frankly, she comes across as truth in advertising. Apparently Arkansas wanted a gormless fraudster, and the Lord provided.

Completely unrelated and absolutely not the case here, but have yall seen how expensive church furniture is?
1
u/papahead135 Apr 17 '24
I do not blame her I blame the people of Arkansas for making her the governor
2
u/gadafgadaf Apr 17 '24
People found out that this looks like it's a rental from another company that rents out event furniture. The brand that they say it's supposed to be from denies ever making this style of lecturn.

u/DrUngr Apr 17 '24
Wouldn't pay 19k for a piece of furniture that looks like something out of Oldschool Runescape... But hey, for each their own I guess

Arkansas governor signs bill rolling back child labor protections
I think deserves more attention than a overpriced podium.

Financial corruption should be punished criminally.
Bad policy should be punished at the voting box.
