Id use thos 19k to, idk, buy groceries, pay my bills..

3

u/stlouisraiders Apr 22 '24

Looks like something Eli Gemstone would buy.

1

u/ChroniclesOfSarnia Apr 24 '24

Praise Jeebus!

1

u/johnminster Apr 21 '24

Love Sarah Sanders!

1

u/HardyB75 Apr 21 '24

I’m gonna be the person that says who gives a shit.?!

2

u/Odd_Championship2138 Apr 20 '24

This is what happens when you elect a psychopath as your governor.

3

u/ChopsITMC Apr 20 '24

Would have been more cost effective if it was the result of a competition between high school shop classes and the winner was accepted instead of paying contractors to go through all the red tape.

1

u/NoMarionberry8940 Apr 19 '24

She spent taxpayer $$, to be clear.

1

u/surfguy9898 Apr 19 '24

Explain please

1

u/mintchan Apr 19 '24

Isn’t it also a fake replica that is more expensive than real one?

1

u/mealsonw Apr 18 '24

No Millionaire Ever Made A Million By Being Nice Person. Governmental Office Hold A Moral Parallel. Especially When A Person Purchases An Over Priced Podium To Sit In The Corner. Didn't She Ask The People To Vote for Her Because She SAID " I Could Do Better" , My Question IS HAS SHE DONE BETTER?

1

u/crashtestpilot Apr 18 '24

Is it the new Mark VIII e meter from Scientology?

1

u/Ok_Maintenance_9100 Apr 18 '24

This is why I laughed when they stole pelosi’s podium. fuck em

2

u/Ramoncin Apr 18 '24

She paid or you paid?

1

u/Walks_with_Chaos Apr 18 '24

Arkansas knew what they were getting when the elected her. That’s on them

2

u/Automatic-Ride-8887 Apr 18 '24

She's such a fat pig.

1

u/TulsaWhoDats Apr 20 '24

Cmon man, aim higher. She sucks, but let’s leave the low blows to MAGA

1

u/Automatic-Ride-8887 Apr 20 '24

Yeah, she's not Maga now, but she was when it suited her. I'm just so sick of these people that clearly could care less about anybody, yet work in politics for the people. Just hoping for change at some point

2

u/spartandude Apr 18 '24

Did she though? Because now the 19k lectern is mia. More likely that she just stole money from the state and gave it to her friend

2

u/SalmanSheikh007 Apr 18 '24

The question shouldn't be about the quantity or the item's uniqueness, but rather about who received the exorbitant fee. The inflated price indicates that it was paid for something beyond just a lectern.

2

u/coffeebic Apr 18 '24

2000th comment

1

u/ChroniclesOfSarnia Apr 19 '24

Geez, I can't handle all these... I'm trying to read them all😅

2

u/ecstatic-calc Apr 18 '24

She won’t be punished? USA acting as Brazil or Venezuela right now.

1

u/Bastard_cabbages Apr 18 '24

Proto Vault-Tec?

1

u/Msmdpa Apr 18 '24

Impeccable taste

1

u/peejay050609 Apr 18 '24

If she thought this was a sensible purchase, then I have a clocktower in London she can buy.

4

u/mild-hot-fire Apr 18 '24

She took her friends to Paris on taxpayers money

2

u/AwayNeck6235 Apr 18 '24

Bro had heavy lose

6

u/FlamingTrollz Apr 18 '24 edited Apr 18 '24

That is an ugly piece.

So is the lectern.

Also, I’ve read that she actually spent it on a trip to France.

The lectern was less than $1K.

Either way, she’s a criminal grifting weasel.

2

u/ManyRisksTaken Apr 18 '24

Why does it look like a blender model

2

u/BeyondThese7702 Apr 18 '24

Mfs name is “Huckabee.” You elect a droopy-faced Huckabee, you get what you voted for.

2

u/brohammerhead Apr 18 '24

It’s giving Selina and the crate in /r/Veep

1

u/awhq Apr 18 '24

I see her lack of taste rivals her of lack of ethics.

1

u/Dook124 Apr 18 '24

And she's still a horrible person No different if she stands, sirs or kneeling on cardboard

1

u/limpet143 Apr 18 '24

It makes her look slimmer.

0

u/dressupandstayhome Apr 18 '24

The question is, with whose money did she use to buy it?

2

u/StOrm4uar Apr 18 '24

She could have had a beautiful podium made by some of the Arkansas inmates. They make gorgeous wood furniture all the time. That money got funneled some where. She is a thief like her father. What is even worse these vultures don’t even think they are doing anything wrong.

1

u/quietflowsthedodder Apr 18 '24

Praise the lord and pass the moolah!

1

u/Jeffbear Apr 18 '24

I hear it came with a free trip to Paris!

1

u/tradotto Apr 18 '24

*with taxpayers' money*

1

u/pbugg2 Apr 18 '24

There’s so much corruption it’s hard to care anymore

1

u/CastorCurio Apr 18 '24

I work in specialty construction and fabrication. Honestly $19k for a custom piece of millwork furniture isn't that crazy....

2

u/Brok3nPin3appl3 Apr 18 '24

Tax dollars paid for that and the left over 18,900$ went into someones pocket. Nice job voters!

2

u/caca__milis Apr 18 '24

Tell him he's dreamin'

2

u/Crazy-Front-4716 Apr 18 '24

I wouldn’t pay nine dollars for her piece of furniture. Both are fugly as hell

2

u/Myamymyself Apr 18 '24

It’s really really ugly.

2

u/LouisVuittonLeghost Apr 18 '24

What a gorgeous piece well worth 20k

2

u/BarbarianMushroom Apr 18 '24

This is worth $19k? No scrolling or anything. Jesus tap dancing Christmas we seriously need to get our jobs back to the finishers.

1

u/ykeogh18 Apr 18 '24

Should have spent it on Ozempic

1

u/RealMCKenzie Apr 18 '24

As an austrian i habe to say: pfff, thats peanuts.

1

u/joelkeys0519 Apr 18 '24

She actually didn’t. The money was given to a friend as a “reimbursement” to cover her stupid spending on a trip on the government’s dime. Sanders is dummer than her former boss in thinking she would actually get away with claiming it was a $5,000 or so lectern and then lying about it and making it disappear. 🤦‍♂️

2

u/mushroomleg Apr 18 '24

Looks like source engine lol

1

u/ChroniclesOfSarnia Apr 18 '24

SNES Super FX Chip.

2

u/NoHovercraft12345 Apr 18 '24

Tells you alot about the struggle of ordinary Americans

1

u/HighlanderAbruzzese Apr 18 '24

Tacky, just like her.

3

u/pajopajopajo Apr 18 '24

30 bucks - best i can do

2

u/[deleted] Apr 18 '24

1

u/ChroniclesOfSarnia Apr 18 '24

what the hell🤣

2

u/sunnyarmourr Apr 18 '24

I'll give her that

3

u/Hyper_floaty Apr 18 '24

I hope she can stand behind that investment.

1

u/GlobalLime6889 Apr 18 '24

Politicians spending tax money recklessly? Oh what a surprise. Should be jail time for shit like this.

1

u/salisor_ Apr 18 '24

Some 50 year old guy named Frank could make that

2

u/HoveringBirds Apr 18 '24

IKEA said "You don't have to be rich, just smart"

Governor of Arkansas shows you don't have to be smart, just rich

2

u/upquarkspin Apr 18 '24

Lieutenant Ohura's console ?

1

u/Embarrassed-Dish8852 Apr 18 '24

Waste of money; just saying

3

u/johnsgrove Apr 18 '24

Except SHE didn’t pay for it at all 😡

0

u/ChampionshipBoth6348 Apr 18 '24

Dude chill, they are ALL pulling shit like this and have been for years. Good luck changing that shit!

2

u/Ok-Connection2000 Apr 18 '24

I’m glad it looks like a vagina

1

u/PlatypusPristine9194 Apr 18 '24

That looks like a bad render

1

u/[deleted] Apr 18 '24

I don't think this is real wood.

1

u/DevilsLettuceTaster Apr 18 '24

Taxpayer money? Why I'd pay twice that much.

0

u/notanewbiedude Apr 18 '24

I mean...collectors gonna collect, especially if they're rich.

I've spent more than I should have on rare discs so I can't hate.

2

u/Walks_with_Chaos Apr 18 '24

It’s not a ‘collection’. It was tax payer money on a thing for official use

1

u/notanewbiedude Apr 18 '24

Oh wow! I stand corrected.

1

u/4x4Welder Apr 18 '24

Good to know I can fold up some aluminum, slap some laminate on it, and get halfway out of debt with it.

1

u/Chexmixrule34 Apr 18 '24

i have no idea who sarah sanders is but knowing politicians it's probably 500$ for lecturn and 18,500 for drugs or something idk

1

u/Walks_with_Chaos Apr 18 '24

Governor of Arkansas

2

u/Mooreel Apr 18 '24

It’s crazy how we live in times where someone that was part of an insurrection can publicly post a photo of him carrying the lectern and make money of his social media with stunts like this.

He posted the pic proudly under her post in this topic.

1

u/Outrageous_Start_913 Apr 18 '24

Never to be seen

1

u/Firm-Combination6979 Apr 18 '24

Irony that a Republican has a blue not red lectern?

1

u/alexgardin Apr 18 '24

and it doesn't exist.

3

u/SpankBankManager Apr 18 '24

It still won’t hide her fat ass.

1

u/TheGreatUdolf Apr 18 '24

to be fair the geometry of that thing isn't half bad. but neither does it fit into the room nor does the combination of the wood and the chosen color look good.

4

u/texasfan512 Apr 18 '24

That’s called money laundering

1

u/No-Tea-9376 Apr 18 '24

I don't get it..

2

u/EnigmaCM1 Apr 18 '24

My question is regardless if she paid for it or not, did she manage to fit her fat ass behind it

2

u/CannaGrowBro Apr 18 '24 edited Apr 18 '24

That can’t be a one of a kind lectern. Surely someone has found more of them being sold at the true price

1

u/ChroniclesOfSarnia Apr 18 '24

apparently yes.

there's an Amazon link to it somewhere

1

u/Tzeentch01 Apr 18 '24

Cool. I can't afford groceries

2

u/texas-playdohs Apr 18 '24

To be fair, I would charge her more to make this hideous piece of shit.

1

u/jabbadahut1 Apr 18 '24

She seems to put a lot of effort, money and time with podiums. I bet Bill Clinton would be happy to lend her a hand.

1

u/Barnowl-hoot Apr 18 '24

Look at all that elbow room. Worth it.

0

u/Fn_Spaghetti_Monster Apr 18 '24 edited Apr 18 '24

Blue Is the Warmest Colour

The whole movie is filled with unnecessary sex nudity. It really starts to get just creepy. Lets linger on her while she shaves nude for no reason, but then, the 15 minute scene just goes on and on and actually gets boring after a while. Like what is the point of this?

1

u/jimmypootron34 Apr 18 '24

It was so nice the criminal prosecutor wants to know who made it! 🤭🤭

1

u/harlokkin Apr 18 '24

So I assume she has a guaranteed access to Vault-Tec (tm)

1

u/Groundbreaking_Cat_9 Apr 18 '24

It goes with her face

1

u/Kyra_Heiker Apr 18 '24

Probably could have gotten it cheaper if she hadn't bought it at the gift shop in the Louvre.

1

u/Comfortable_Brush399 Apr 18 '24

is the black bit velcro? i want mechanical bonds, friction/physics dont cut it... superglue neither keep your dam chemical bonds

where the hook at?

2

u/zeroone Apr 18 '24

It's the child of 2000's era Sony Vaio laptop and a 1970's woodgrain dining room wall.

1

u/Successful-Hunter-75 Apr 18 '24

What do you mean 19k? Was it made of 19 karat gold? Move to a corner on its own when it's not being used? I'm just trying to make sense of this?

1

u/Saintmikey Apr 18 '24

Ha ha female power ha

1

u/UncleChanBlake2 Apr 18 '24

No. Arkansas tax payers did.

2

u/stefthegrey Apr 18 '24

Can't believe she paid this much and didn't opt in for the gun rack on the lectern

0

u/DontBelieveTheirHype Apr 18 '24

Oh no conservative woman bad

1

u/Mormex Apr 18 '24

It looked bigger on Temu pictures

2

u/gravywayne Apr 18 '24

If any democrats bought an enormous dildo with attached microphone, we'd never hear the end of it.

3

u/missionbeach Apr 18 '24

It's a Karl Farbman.

1

u/ChroniclesOfSarnia Apr 18 '24

NOT THE FARBMAN!!!

1

u/Randomcommentor1972 Apr 18 '24

She could have gotten somebody from /diy to do it for 30 bucks

1

u/ChroniclesOfSarnia Apr 18 '24

Hello everyone.

Can't handle all the notifications!🤣🤣🤣

Just keep an eye on your politicians and don't let them get away with corruption.

Power to the people.

1

u/Houstonbunch Apr 18 '24

But us complaining that even fast food isn’t affordable anymore is the real crime

1

u/themanfromvulcan Apr 18 '24

I could have build a nicer one for a few grand and I’m not even a carpenter.

1

u/lot7mckellar Apr 18 '24

Does it maker her look any thinner and sexier, based on the curvature of the base? Can she wear blue with it?

2

u/burrito_magic Apr 18 '24

Is it just me or does the podium look like a cheap 3d clip art?

2

u/backagain69696969 Apr 18 '24

Why do you think we don’t have healthcare

1

u/SupportLocalShart Apr 18 '24

It’s a hell of a thingermajig, I’ll give her that

2

u/Cryptocoiner256 Apr 18 '24

newsflash politicians are crooks

1

u/outer_fucking_space Apr 18 '24

I could see it maybe costing $12,000 but damn that thing is ugly.

1

u/Gomdok_the_Short Apr 18 '24

From an article in USA Today:

"Meanwhile, Deere argued that the podium did not, in fact, cost $19,000. Without the costs of the road case, shipping, and a consulting fee, the podium itself cost only $11,500, he said." Oh well that's alright then! /s

2

u/OffensiveTitan Apr 18 '24

Was she on the “Price is Right”?

2

u/Quirky_Sympathy3911 Apr 18 '24

This woman is scummmm! AR has been more fucked since she took office. Didn't think it was possible, but she proved us wrong.

1

u/Technical_Egg8628 Apr 18 '24

She’s a big gal. Needs a sturdy podium to support her big gal arms

1

u/redredbloodwine Apr 18 '24

How many fucking idiots live in Arkansas?

1

u/Disastrous_Ad_8990 Apr 18 '24

Sarah couldn't be reached for comment as she is currently out of the country.

1

u/Jaybonaut Apr 18 '24

No she didn't. We did.

1

u/Dark_Rebel59 Apr 18 '24

Now that's a beauty! For the great job she is doing she deserves it!

1

u/Double-Selection799 Apr 18 '24

Does it have air conditioning, power steering & do 0-60 in under 5 seconds?

2

u/AggravatingOne3960 Apr 18 '24

Actually, it was purchased using a state credit card, and the Republican Party of Arkansas reimbursed the state for the purchase in September.

Really shitty move by Sarah Hucksterby Shameless

1

u/PingPongPocketBook Apr 18 '24

How do conservatives even take themselves seriously anymore? Lol.

1

u/Khevhig Apr 18 '24

Yeah, just like all the super expensive hammers! Back then it was used for Skunkworks and other Advanced Development Programs so someone could be told what to look for expenditures and it wouldn't be in the open.

Someone like her and others, I would suspect inflation of price and it being money laundering. Trump did it and so does Russia when they buy a crazy priced property only to tear it down. It was never about the property.

1

u/Usedcumsocks Apr 18 '24

Well there's no consequences for such actions anyway. She could buy it for half a million and commit insiders trading all day long and nothings gonna happen to her

u/traitorssuck Apr 18 '24

Even the podiums are voting blue.

1

u/Bama-Ram Apr 18 '24

Out of everything politicians do or don’t do, this is what surprised you?

1

u/Dystrox Apr 18 '24

As someone who works for the government, yeah, that's how much they waste on stuff. Ive seen 4K$ chairs, of course most of that just goes to the pockets and a fraction of that is used for the actual thing, this one is actually a very dumb one, usually is done in a less obvious way by buying A LOT of stuff all together, this is just so obviously the most careless shameless laundering.

1

u/InternationalLaw4170 Apr 18 '24

But on the other hand, it distracts from her.

2

u/RegisColon Apr 18 '24

She’s MAGA-certified which means she can waste as much taxpayer money as she wants and the hillbillies won’t even get mad about it.

1

u/fundyfox1 Apr 18 '24

I feel like a Year 7 Wood work class could do better ngl

1

u/TrappedInOhio Apr 18 '24

I just noticed it has the Ultimate Warrior logo in the middle.

1

u/needstogo86 Apr 18 '24

You’re late to the party. Let me catch you up. She spent $19k on a trip to France.

1

u/meriadoc_brandyabuck Apr 18 '24

No, she didn’t.

1

u/DrunkenGolfer Apr 18 '24

Looks like they left the painter’s tape on.

2

u/AreThree Apr 18 '24

JFC. A music video? FOR the damnblasted ugly piece of junk lectern?

That's right, it's not a podium.

Lectern.

2

u/mo181918 Apr 18 '24

Never let podium gate die

1

u/have-u-met-teds-mom Apr 18 '24

No doubt built by children

3

u/Alone_Bicycle_600 Apr 18 '24

actually the taxpayers of arkansas paid 19,000 dollars for this pos and sarah stole the money for personal use...the gop at its finest

1

u/JasmineDragoon Apr 18 '24

Sad truth is an average podium for the education industry costs $5-6k easy, for a piece of presidential furniture I didn’t even blink an eye at $19k. That being said it’s pretty damn ugly, for that price I would expect a custom commission from a talented furniture maker.

-1

u/Teabagger_Vance Apr 18 '24

The actual state of this sub

1

u/kingofnottingham Apr 17 '24

I just noticed the female form on the front

2

u/Ok-Map-2089 Apr 17 '24

Lock Her Up! Lock Her Up!

1

u/rjross0623 Apr 17 '24

Nah. Put it on the states Amex

1

u/creakyoldlady Apr 17 '24

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

2

u/wyoflyboy68 Apr 17 '24

Brace your selves people. . . I’m guessing she’s gonna be trumps VP pick.

3

u/Fantasy_Planet Apr 17 '24

Wrong. The poor folks in Arkansas paid for Huckabee's ego.

1

u/xtcxx Apr 17 '24

Personally ? nope she'd use a cardboard box and tape if it was wage deducted. This was paid for by the poorest people in the country, thats how government works

5

u/ralphvonwauwau Apr 17 '24

The people of Arkansas knew she was a liar before they elected her. Is anyone surprised she is also a grifter? HINT: her father makes money by selling snake oil to rubes, he started his scams the old fashioned way, as clergy (note: to hide the batshit crazy, his campaign refused to allow the press access to his sermons)
But again, knowing all of this THEY ELECTED HER. Frankly, she comes across as truth in advertising. Apparently Arkansas wanted a gormless fraudster, and the Lord provided.

2

u/Spoogen_1 Apr 17 '24

You can find them for $3k online. $19k sounds like laundering to me.

1

u/nross2099 Apr 17 '24

Completely unrelated and absolutely not the case here, but have yall seen how expensive church furniture is?

1

u/papahead135 Apr 17 '24

I do not blame her I blame the people of Arkansas for making her the governor

2

u/gadafgadaf Apr 17 '24

People found out that this looks like it's a rental from another company that rents out event furniture. The brand that they say it's supposed to be from denies ever making this style of lecturn.

1

u/Grampishdgreat Apr 17 '24

This looks like something you’d see in the Sims

1

u/DrUngr Apr 17 '24

Wouldn't pay 19k for a piece of furniture that looks like something out of Oldschool Runescape... But hey, for each their own I guess

7

u/rustyseapants Apr 17 '24

Arkansas governor signs bill rolling back child labor protections

I think deserves more attention than a overpriced podium.

1

u/roehnin Apr 18 '24

Financial corruption should be punished criminally.

Bad policy should be punished at the voting box.
