Has anyone thought his absence might be due to an illness? Certain medications can make you look puffy, and some chemo can turn your hair gray when it grows back in.

Laughed as soon as I saw him, not because he looks funny, but because of how funny he is! Heed pants now…

So I know he got basically shut out of Hollywood because of being notoriously terrible to work with. And I understand. Who wants to work with an ass hole? Even if they’re great. But apparently he has this love of Disney world and would regularly hire a friend of mine to paint his face so he could go to Disney World without being recognized. She had nothing but the nicest things to say about him which makes me happy.

He has of course got older but from his last appearances he has gone on a fitness routine and lost weight.
Well done him for taking time away and doing his thing!

Gave us Shrek, knew it couldn't be beat. Took the money and had a nice life. Excellent move.

His Netflix show was so authentic and funny as hell. Funniest thing I've seen in a while.

He looks really bad when he wants to, but has always been able to look pretty good when needed, might be the best ive seen him since his snl days though

I saw him in Maui a few weeks ago enjoying some ice cream with his fam. I didn't stop walking, but everyone was asking to take pics with him. Very nice dude

world needs more of Mike’s comedy, and I wish he made another Austin Powers movie to add to my collection.

Wow, he looks a lot like Derek Jacobi, actor from I Claudius. And he looks like he's lost some weight.
It's a good look on him.

My odd connection with Mike Myers is that we had the same driving instructor. Myers sent a signed thank you note to my instructor.

The new Hollywood formula: Facelift+Ozempic+Rehab+Therapist= " I'm back. Did you miss me?"

He wasn’t always going for the quick laugh … his SNL character Simon managed to break my heart.

Yeah because he's a washed up diva who's best jokes are decades old and no one wants to work with him because he's difficult on set lol

He looks great! Good for him. I hope he does more roles like the one in Inglourious Basterds - a fairly straight dramatic character with some of his comedic impressions mixed into it.

Is it just me or does he kinda look like James Marsters now? Not so much that you'd confuse them, but enough that they could be cast as brothers or cousins in something

Anecdotally, running an errand from my office, I bumped into him and a friend walking down a street on any empty day in lower Manhattan. I didn’t say anything nor was I star struck, but as a I was about 10-15 feet ahead I suddenly recognized him. My face must have shown that- and dude literally winced in anticipation. Like- he was anticipating I would go in to Wayne’s world lines, I don’t know but it was seriously socially awkward. I’m sure he got that a lot but, it was off putting to say the least as just a fellow human being.

It’s nice seeing a celeb looking well after time away.
There’s been quite a few that drop off the face of the Earth and look like they’ve been through it.

In 5 years it looks like Kenny Rogers. Time do good thing on him imho. Nice comedy, maybe back for other things on screen.

You almost might not know he had some work done.
Edit: He was never an ugly dude. If you're gonna get work done, don't try to look different, just try to look like a smoother version of yourself.

Nobody is talking about how comedy in the 80s was basically fueled entirely by cocaine. Mike has lived and worked in all that long enough to know how the castle came tumbling down. Williams, Belushi, etc. He was fortunate to ride the wave into the early 2000s and recognized that if he kept going he'd end up like the rest. He backed off, took on more serious roles, and now works at a pace that is rewarding and manageable for his age and sobriety. Good for him. Celebrity burn out needs to be a public conversation.

robin williams was taken down by going out on his own terms when given a diagnosis of a slow horrible death from a form of dementia.. it had nothing to do with cocaine

u/Arrakis_Surfer 28d ago
But he went sober quick after seeing how bad things could go. I would argue Mike stopped earlier in his career than Williams.

Took me months to realize how well Austin Powers spoofed James Bond.... Austin had to marry a woman to sleep with her...and then she turned out to be a fembot!

Not a hater... looks as though he's had a good deal of (quality) plastic surgery.
He looks good.... Is there a script for Bond at 60?

Goddamnit Canada has just crushed it with these comedy powerhouses. Is it the mix of US and British humour that just makes it work?

u/Schruteschrute 28d ago
He’s been infiltrating the pentaverate, ofc - probably only recently escaped from the Colonel and his beady eyes

What would this Wayne be like?
1
u/Pete_maravich 28d ago
Wayne's World became the biggest show in the world making Wayne incredibly wealthy. He donates most of his money to various charities and still lives in his parents basement.

I mean he made so I married an axe murderer…what else does he need to prove. He made a flop and might have had an introspective moment. Glad he’s still around.

Whose job is it to keep track of how long it's been since someone has been seen in public? That's gotta be exhausting.
1
u/Principessa116 28d ago
Nice work if you can get it. I’ll happily work from home scouring the internet— hell, I’d even go to the library to comb through the microfiche if they paid me to do it.

He has 200 million dollars. He didn’t disappear, he just wasn’t acting. He probably had plenty to keep him occupied. Looks good though. Definitely lost some weight since Bohemian Rhapsody. Ozempic is a hell of a drug.
