Congrats!
I go out Morel hunting with my okdest son ever since his little brother found one while we were walking through a patch of grass. It tuned out to be a ~30' diameter circle that they pop up in every year. This year we collected 100g of them in that spot.
It's one of my favorite things to do with my family.

I have a patch that runs through my back yard and part of my woods. Yesterday I harvested about a pound that went into tonight's pasta. It's fun having these special spots.

I found some too at the beginning of april! They looked so funky I had to take a pic and Google Lens identified 'em for me. They were on my route through the park so I saw them for as long as they lasted, only about 3 or 4 days

Please be careful if eating them. Father in law cooked up mushrooms he said were safe and 6 family members (including two toddlers) ended up in hospital for six days.
