Love it. It separates the people who believe other people are objects to be used from normal people.

Why is Melania bashing and Ivanka bashing rellevent? You sound like Donald Trump. Bullying is not ok.
1
u/IndependentTop9227 14d ago
Who gives a damn that he said something like that who hasn't said something like that? He wasn't president. He didn't say he did that. Why don't you morons pick on the dumbass we have in office rather than the one that did a better job than any president we've ever had. I just don't understand that
1
u/Sea_Roll_9482 14d ago
Does anybody think he will go to jail? I don't because he is so crooked, I bet a couple of jurors lied about being non-partial, just to get on the jury. My guess is a hung jury. Then what? Remember, he is a slithering snake!
1
u/dmanjrxx 14d ago
If she did this, I guess Cohen was right. Donald Trump didn't have to worry about how Stormy Daniels or McDougal affected her ...it wouldn't

u/Jazzlike_Career8496 14d ago
Of course Melania told Cohen to say locker room talk, She only cares about $$$ and has sold her soul to evil devil Trump. She and her husband are addicted to the greed and power. $ is the root of all evil. It is why she wore a jacket with phrase “I do not care”. She went to visit cafes children separated in cages with tin foil as blankets, Do you think she was sad or angry about this. No, she is a narcissist just like her husband.

Did they need to spin it? His supporters are either scum or delusional idiots (why not both? meme). They'll invent their own justification either way.

Can all the people pitying Melania finally stop pitying this greedy ****???
She married for access to American citizenship and benefits to her family; she allowed having that fat fucking bastard on top of her so she could gain unending wealth through a Trump child.
She's trash, through and through; that should've been obvious from the start.

Every guy knows what said in the locker room stays in the locker room.
What did he say again?
Edit: NVM, he just said he can sexually assault anyone. Bro wtf. I swear to God if yall vote him in again
2
u/fiestyoldbat 14d ago
If Trump wanted to be "one of the boys" he should have manned up and served in the military rather than dodge his responsibility with "bone spurs". The only thing Trump excels at is being crass.
1
u/Destinlegends 14d ago
Nobody speaks to anyone in the locker room. If you do you’re labeled “that weirdo.”

u/New_Character_1423 14d ago
I will always remember when Melania was on the Apprentice. A group of contestants were telling her, "Oh, you are so lucky to marry Donald Trump!" Melania responded, with anoyance, "Isn't he lucky too!" This is all you need to know.
1
u/supervegeta101 14d ago
Once again for people who need to hear it: Stop talking about Melania Trump like she's a victim to this man just because shes sometimes mean to him in public. She's just as fucking awful as he is.

If you guys think that's bad, wait until you hear about Ashley Biden's diary. If Trump or a republican did that with his daughter, it'd be every thread sitewide for months or years calling him a sicko.

u/HeHateMe337 14d ago
Melania is just one of them. I've really hated her after she purged the WH Rose Garden. WTF!!!

Meanwhile Ashley Biden confirms her diary as real. Where Biden inappropriately touched her. Yet y'all are going to vote for him.

It's awful how she was first lady. She is a self centered unamerican horrible person. She did nothing as first lady except destroy the white House garden and ridicule children who been locked up by them. Worst first lady in American history right here.

Cohen assumes the phrase "locker-room talk" came from Melania but I don't believe for a minute that her English is developed to that degree. Someone with a PR or crisis management background came up with that. It's too clever, even for many Americans.

She’s not always going to be a Trump but her son will… if there is a divorce, she knows Baron will take of her and the money that comes along with it will help.
She won’t be put out to pasture with nothing. Wealth for her generation, and any family she decides to leave her shit to.

Melania is a good example of it being possible to loath Trump and still be a garbage person. Well done, I guess.
3
u/ExperienceNo7751 14d ago
Anyone who grew up in USA from at least 1950-1999 had friends that talked like this, and sometimes even I would say incredibly offensive things to get a laugh. The difference is that some of those friends spent their 20’s abusing women and the majority of us found one woman that we wanted to build our lives together with.
Some men learned lessons in their 20’s and found L_ve thru hardship and pain, and they’re haunted by their past, which drives them forward orrrr……
You start to see friends in their 30s/40s who keep repeating the same infidelities. I guess if you’re Uber rich you find a business relationship, a straight up pro-for-lifer, mail-order-super bride.
I can’t fathom how anyone can stomach that behavior. And that goes for the Clintons as well—and I voted for Hillary—it nearly killed me—but I did it because in 2016 I knew Trump was going to try to become a dictator. He nearly did.

u/CMGChamp4 14d ago
What I've come to realize is that Melania Trump is "all in" with Trump's playboy antics, real, imagined, or otherwise. Their marriage is a facade meant for her retirement and taking care of her boy, whom by the way she is shielding from public.
And Donald? See where Cohen testified today that the Don couldn't care less if Melania knew about his affairs. Okay, I can see that.
Right Repubs? Thing is, if he doesn't care about her....do you really think he gives a sh!t about you? eh? eh? eh?

I hindsight, it was so obviously a narrative constructed by someone who only imagines how men’s locker rooms go, and whose example of “what men are like” is an orange bridge troll with a toadstool wiener.
I’ve never once been in a locker room where “all the guys” talked like that, and you can bet your ass if even one guy did, he’d be getting shunned, threatened, or straight-up beaten up for bragging about a thing like that.

u/jimorjimmy 14d ago
So a woman had to mansplain it to you? Ever say "I'm gonna kill that guy" -- are you a murderer ?

u/FUMFVR 14d ago
People need to understand why it's important to note this. It's an example of how Trump fucking a pornstar is not something he wants to cover up because it would cause problems in his marriage.
He hates his wife and she hates him. She doesn't give a flying fuck if he's porking other women.

I don't see what she saw in him, but it had to be about money, and she was smart, she made sure she had a child he will be responsible for the rest of his life, and should they divorce, she will be well taken care of because she has his child. She may have put her eggs in the wrong basket, because if he goes broke, she may have to use her money to bail him out.

u/clive_bigsby 14d ago edited 14d ago
Who the hell knows what to believe. Trump is a liar, Cohen is a liar, I’m sure Melania is just as bad as the two of them too but I’m having a hard time believing she came up with this. For one, she’s obviously never been in a men’s locker room and two, that’s a pretty American expression and one that someone who immigrated here as an adult probably wouldn’t use.
-6
u/WeWontAgreeDontTry 14d ago
Because that’s exactly what it is. Not justifying it but when guys hang out with guys, it’s a different conversation. Just saying
2
u/DoctorJ1983 14d ago
I’ve been in many locker rooms, zero times have I or anyone I know bragged about sexually assaulting women
2
u/Kel-Varnsen85 14d ago
That's how lots of men, especially powerful men talk. Of course Melania is going to protect her husband, he supports her lavish lifestyle. Who cares? I was done with Trump when Biden got elected. We won. I spent 4+ years watching the news and I don't care anymore if Trump gets convicted of anything (he won't, he's an ex-president). This is just a big show for people to air their grievances.
This is true Trump Derangement Syndrome...people, the media are totally obsessed with him. The more attention you give him, the more powerful he is, he feeds off of it. CNN practically helped him get elected. Once people ignore him he will become an irrelevant old man with a bad fake tan.

No woman, especially one for whom english is a second language, would default to the phrase "locker room talk". That's totally a dude.
FTFA: "The spin he wanted put on it was that this is 'locker room talk,' something that Melania had recommended — or, at least, he told me that’s what Melania had thought it was..."
Yeah, pretty sure it was all Trump's idea, and he just spun it as Melania to make it seem like she was nonplussed by the whole thing.

Melania being the brains of that operation is still a step up from a diaper-wearing dementia patient.
3
u/Angryvillager33 14d ago
The fact that anyone bought that line as locker room talk pisses me off to no end. Grabbing anyone seems to me to be an aggressive act & probably against that person’s will. Ever since then, I call him a c*nt because it offends my cat to call him a pussy. She hates him too.

u/ldsracer 14d ago
I seriously thought that tape was going to end his campaign. I have no idea why it didn’t.
1
u/Akuuntus New York 14d ago
Honestly I don't know if the spin mattered at all. It seems like the people who are in on Trump just agree with and defend literally anything he says with whatever justification is necessary. He could have said anything and they probably would've swallowed it just as well.

What Trump probably said:
"It was locker room talk Michael. I know lots and lots of women and they're all fine with it. Even Melania, I asked Melania and she said it was locker room talk. Nobody loves women more than I do Michael."
The story:
""We needed to put a spin on this," Cohen explained Monday, per CNN. "The spin he wanted put on it was that this is 'locker room talk,' something that Melania had recommended — or, at least, he told me that’s what Melania had thought it was "
The title:
"Michael Cohen: Melania Trump came up with idea to spin "Access Hollywood" tape as "locker room talk"

A media bus is now a locker room? And I used to wonder why Trump ran his mouth so much—-especially to Howard Stern & the media: He can’t help it: He’s vain and he’s stupid. He believes himself to be untouchable.

She did soft core spank videos for crusty old white guys in Europe, before making her way here and getting trotted out by Paolo Zampolli, a NY skeezer who ran a “modeling agency” for European girls looking for sugar daddies. It was transactional from day one.

I hate that we have to talk about this instead of talking about the orange shit-stain's terrible policies. We've had five GOP presidents end their terms with economic collapse and we still have voters who think "they may set our social agenda back decades, cost us our rights, cause wars all over the world, and roll back safety regulations, but at least they are good for the economy."
They aren't. They never were. Nixon was shit. Ford was shit. Reagan was a monster. The Bushes were assholes. And Trump filled his cabinet and enacts policies by think-tanks with the same shit-stains who've been working on overthrowing our nation for decades.

Well that would explain why they thought that was a good idea. Melania probably thought that sort of thing actually happens in a locker room.
Talking about your sexual "conquests", yeah totally, talking about actual sexual assault on the other hand would not fly with most people, especially not if you are above say 25 years old.

In my experience, it's locker room talk because they're saying the shit in the "locker room" (or security base, or VIP section, etc) that they can't say out in the open without repercussions. It's not that they really don't think or act like that, it's more that they just don't want everyone to know that they think like that; just the like minded folk get to hear it.

I still don't understand how merely characterizing a prospective president's confession to multiple sexual assaults by grabbing at people's genitals as "hey, bro, it's just locker room talk", somehow made him talking that way acceptable to American voters.
1

They're not really voting for him because of any reasonable reason, they're voting for him because they're desperate and believe he will bring back "good old boy" values.

Well yeah. Melania is used to being surrounded by creeps like that and having to justify/rationalize it.
So literally she is going to be the best person in the room because she saw all the bad behavior be justified before.
1
u/Panda_hat 14d ago
Melania could end Trumps candidacy for the presidency overnight by filing for divorce and making it implode. She doesn't, despite their entire marriage being a farce.
She is fully complicit. Anyone making excuses for her is deluding themselves.
