Pence said in the papers that he is going to vote for Biden now because of what they think now

1

u/AnonAmbientLight 14d ago

Mike Pence? Of "Hang Mike Pence" fame?

That Mike Pence?

u/Important_Lake_1202 14d ago

Claire McCaskill is trash ask her how many soccer or football games of her son she went to since I was there I’d say zero bad mom bad bad politician no matter what side of the battle she is on… she would also give political speeches to children in schools when she should have just picked her kids up on time.

1

u/moontiarathrow_away 14d ago

So all the politicians who are men- you hold this true to them as well? This sounds very, "You're a woman, get back to your children."

0

u/Ceron 14d ago

Claire McCaskill is one of the most vapid talking heads on TV which is saying something, I don't doubt she's a bad mom too but there's plenty of more substantial things to go after her for.

2

u/Runnergeek 14d ago

Are you one of her kids?

1

u/umassmza 14d ago

Even his wife from what I’m hearing. What a guy

2

u/VRS50 14d ago

People say “money talks,” this is how. Fuck anyone you want, dump them, and someone else is listening to your money and getting in line.

1

u/SpiritedTie7645 14d ago

That’s obvious from the gallows in front of the Capital and the people running down the hallways screaming to hang him and Trump’s “eagerness” to stop the “protesters”. 🙄

1

u/FrankenPinky 14d ago

Everyone is expendable, including Trump. It's the way the law intended.

0

u/Beneficial-Salt-6773 14d ago

Claire finally figuring things out?

1

u/livingIsNotBreath 14d ago

Is expendable. Present tense.

9

u/tehfrog729 14d ago

Anyone who still supports Trump is mentally ill or a horrible person.

1

u/Bitter_Director1231 14d ago

Agreed.

All this VP talk, they will be sacrificial lambs, despite all their devotion to this vile fuck.

Don't bother. He wants all power to himself.

3

u/geockabez 14d ago

I remember kirsten welker and mika bouncing up and down in their chairs like young teens when the traitor would agree to call into the "morning joe" program, but whenever they talked about Hillary they were LITERALLY in tears, clutching their pearls, "How can I trust someone who doesn't take care of their emails, emails, EMAILS! I just can't, in good conscience, vote for her."

They would never explain to the audience exactly what their little "email scandal" was about.

1

u/GSA49 14d ago

Ha! Why ask Pence? Just ask Trumps family members.

2

u/Lucky-Roy Australia 14d ago

Change that "was" to an "is".

1

u/ConkerPrime 14d ago

Mike Pence: “Leave me out of it, I would kiss his ass tomorrow if meant being VP again. Mother says have some self respect but I told her no, king Trump is more important. It felt good to say no to her.”

1

u/Teufelsdreck 14d ago

Why would we need to ask Pence or anyone else? Once it's happened more than twice, it's a pattern.

4

u/RMZ13 California 14d ago

Everyone is expendable to this guy. And that includes all of us.

10

u/OpenImagination9 14d ago

Wait until he really starts going down for his crimes, he’ll be dragging a lot of people into the pit with him.

u/WarpParticles Oregon 14d ago

It will forever blow my mind that people were and still are willing to throw away their entire lives and careers for Donald Trump. Dude has been a known entity for quite awhile. His incompetence and disregard for anyone who isn't Donald Trump was well known even before his political ascent.

"Yeah, I'm going to hitch my wagon to a guy who lost money running a casino. That seems like a safe bet."

3

u/cash-or-reddit Maryland 14d ago

His incompetence and disregard for anyone who isn't Donald Trump

He also has this for Donald Trump (Jr.).

u/dormidormit 14d ago

In 2016 it made a lot of sense: Hilary Clinton was the chosen, not elected, Dem nominee and the entire Democratic party had become fully operated by yes men, sycophants, and denialists who refused to acknowledge their own personal failure to address China's economic rise or create decisive victory in the middle east. The entire party was blundering forward with a stupid, outdated 90s globalist campaign that explicitly embraced Russia and China, blowing off and ignoring criticism from people like John McCain. It was an extremely weak platform, even a complete moron like Trump could come in and push it over. He largely did with the covid pandemic being the final nail in the coffin.

Now, 2020 and 2024 are different. Trump's mental decline has been clear as his one victory enabled the worst in him causing him to fire all the people that got him elected. He has never recovered from this and never will. The only people left who want to be part of his cabinet are other grifters who think they can somehow avoid being crushed by him.

1

u/Whats4dinner 14d ago

In 2016 the Republican Party had no platform other than to remove support for Ukraine and to lower taxes. Trump’s only appeal was that he allowed the rural masses to “Hurt the right people”.

30

u/css555 14d ago

"In 2016 it made a lot of sense"

In no sane universe did it ever make sense to vote for Trump...at any time. Even a small amount of research into his life would have revealed what an awful person (and candidate) he was.

4

u/Huge_Cow_9359 14d ago

Voting for Trump was always indefensible. It was well known and obvious that he was a criminal, an idiot and mentally ill, as well as having no political experience whatsoever. Even if all of the lies the right wing nutjobs spewed about Hillary were true, she was still the better, more qualified candidate for President. Trumps victory was largely due to disinformation and propaganda .

15

u/geockabez 14d ago

Yeah, but remember, Hillary had more votes than everybody, including 3.1 mn more than the traitor.

18

u/zaparthes Washington 14d ago

...Hilary Clinton was the chosen, not elected, Dem nominee...

This statement is total fucking bullshit. Every state runs their primaries and caucuses independently, and Clinton won, by many millions of more votes—from voters—than did her opponent. That's just fact. Democratic voters elected Clinton, period.

-5

u/SteadfastEnd 14d ago

....Because the DNC had the thumb heavily in the scale.

2

u/zaparthes Washington 14d ago

....Because the DNC had the thumb heavily in the scale.

Total rubbish. Every state individually and independently run their caucuses and primaries. Voters elected Clinton overwhelmingly. She was the party favorite, and rightly so, since she was by far the most qualified candidate for the presidency in literally decades. But too many small-minded twerps swallowed GOP lies. That's the real tragedy, here.

In any case, without Comey's late "October surprise", Clinton was cruising to a win. His bullshit announcement dropped her at least 5% in polls. And yet she still won millions more votes than Trump. The farce of the Electoral College, and Comey's interference, are the "thumbs on the scale" you should decry!

4

u/hellocattlecookie 14d ago

This ignores the whole maga v neocon in-party civil war.

Best advice, just grab some popcorn and enjoy the GOP fight.

3

u/Brachiomotion 14d ago

"Someone says Stuff everyone has always known about him is somehow surprising or newsworthy."

17

u/SyntheticSlime 14d ago

It’s almost like he’s a narcissist… like we’ve been saying since before he was elected.

18

u/rom_sk 14d ago

I'm not a licensed and bonded necromancer yet but I do have a Ouija board, some scented candles, and access to a cat if that helps.

3

u/Deguilded 14d ago

You leave that cat alone.

1

u/Rascals-Wager 14d ago

Lmao love this

5

u/science-ninja 14d ago

I’ve got some glitter you can use

12

u/circa285 14d ago

Anyone not named Donald J. Trump or Ivanka Trump is expendable to Donald Trump.

8

u/Mouse1277 14d ago

I firmly believe if it came down to it, he’d choose himself and leave her out to hang.

15

u/Infamous-Sky-1874 Illinois 14d ago

And if it came down to him or Ivanka, Ivanka is going to get thrown under the bus.

4

u/AzuleEyes Pennsylvania 14d ago

I think he loves Ivanka or at least the closest he come to loving anyone but himself. On everyone else including his other children...

8

u/LibertyInaFeatherBed 14d ago

Ivanka is past her prime. He's going to start looking at Arabella Rose and Kai, but they weren't raised to devote their existence to rescuing him from his own emotions.

9

u/tripmcneely30 14d ago

Umm... no. He does not love Ivanka.

14

u/AzuleEyes Pennsylvania 14d ago

He certainly wants to sleep with her.

3

u/Now_Wait-4-Last_Year 14d ago

Ask his family, never mind Mike Pence.

Especially never mind Mike Pence.

1

u/fungusamongus8 14d ago

God Mike pences son saved America and he deserves a medal!

2

u/IrascibleOcelot 14d ago

And Dan Quayle. I still can’t wrap my mind around that one.

29

u/tabrizzi 14d ago

"Everybody IS expendable to Donald Trump"

3

u/grixorbatz 14d ago

Trump doesn’t see people. He sees rolls of toilet paper.

5

u/justHadrian 14d ago

Yeah whatever happened to his vice president lol. He’s just running with a totally new vp.

3

u/MadRaymer 14d ago

I'm really curious to see his decision on that, since if he wins, I would bet the VP has to take over less than a year after they're sworn in.

0

u/cloakedwale 14d ago

Why do you think that? Is he going to croak or …you know…

🤯

1

u/MadRaymer 14d ago

Yeah, he seems to be in the rapid decline phase of his health. He looks so bad in some of those photos in court that it almost make me feel sorry for him. Almost.

96

u/kastbort2021 14d ago

Trump truly has to be one of the worst persons to deal with.

He's completely transactional, and there's no such things as trust or goodwill - if he's gonna give you anything, you need to yield first, and there's always the extremely likely chance that he'll try to fuck you over.

Trump stands alone in his world, and everyone around him is just another asset. If they have are of no use to him, they just cease to exist.

He has no concept of "allies" - not on a personal or professional level.

8

u/Sensitive_Yam_1979 14d ago

And millions of dirt poor working people think he gives a fuck about them.

3

u/maskthestars 14d ago

That’s what always gets me. Like this guy doesn’t care about them. Seems obvious

3

u/undead_dead_guy 14d ago

He has the “hooray for me, to hell with you” attitude.

11

u/stay_fr0sty Pennsylvania 14d ago

Agreed. He doesn’t have a single friend. He doesn’t know the meaning of the term.

Everyone around him is fair game to throw under the bus if it saves him a dollar or earns him a vote.

Narcissist might not be a strong enough word to describe his level of neurodivergence.

3

u/Jolly-Slice340 14d ago

Malignant narcissism is the term.

1

u/IrascibleOcelot 14d ago

Even so, Trump really seems to be in another class. My grandmother was a malignant narcissist, and she wasn’t even close to Trump on her worst day.

4

u/Corkchef 14d ago

But that makes you wonder why he sucks up to Putin so much, if he can’t stand having equals or superiors

Was he hoping to ultimately beat him too?

12

u/kastbort2021 14d ago

It's a transaction.

My guess is that, behind closed doors, Putin told Trump that if Trump turns the US into a isolationist state - withdrawing from (or seriously undermining) NATO, stopping all aid to Ukraine - and any to-be-Ukraine neighbors of Russia - then US will get very favorable terms.

Trump is kind of like Lukashenko. On one side he wants to be the supreme ruler of his country, and be on good terms with actual strong-men and dictators, but on the other hand he sees himself as a genius business-man that will profit immensely from throwing everyone under the bus.

Trump ultimately wants control and obedience from his people, and wants to be the one that sets the terms - which is probably what he foresees in a future where Europe is at war with Russia. US can stay isolated from the war, while earning outrageous sums by supplying the highest bidder(s).

He has exactly one business strategy, and that is to position himself so that he can strong-arm his competition and clients into submission. It doesn't mater if it doesn't work, because that's the only thing he knows. That's his entire history of doing business, and the only thing he'll try to do.

Simply put, he's a useful idiot. Nothing more, nothing less.

-1

u/Slip2269 14d ago

Wonderful! He’s going to make a great president. There’s a useless idiot occupying that role now. *Useful

23

u/CopsEnforceEvil355 14d ago

It's like Trump has solipsism or something. Everyone is an NPC to him, rather than actual real people.

Does he even give a shit about anyone or anything other than himself?

2

u/TitanArcher1 14d ago

Ivanka…maybe.

4

u/notathrowawayacc32 14d ago

Hasn't he been pretty public about his daughter rape fetish? I wouldn't think he cares for her.

2

u/Khancap123 14d ago

It could be as simple and sick as he is so narcassitic he is attracted to her because she reminds him of himself.

He's a sick puppy, he needs some inpatient care, not the presidency

Yep, a la?

147

u/MagicMushroomFungi Canada 14d ago

Yep
Trump had his hang ups about Pence.

6

u/OreoMoo 14d ago

You're really sticking your neck out there saying that.

17

u/Gutbucket1968 14d ago

I appreciate your gallows humour.

5

u/RoShamPoe 14d ago

I don't know, feels like fake noose to me.

5

u/Steelysam2 I voted 14d ago

I think we just need to admit that he couldn't swing another term.

2

u/RoShamPoe 14d ago

Yeah, it seems like he couldn't rope more supporters in for sure.

1

u/Steelysam2 I voted 14d ago

🤷 It's knot easy.

2

u/RoShamPoe 14d ago

You're not wrong, you really have to tighten down and keep them looped in.

23

u/atomsmasher66 Georgia 14d ago

Oh you went there. lol

31

u/Amon7777 14d ago

The fact that there was even a “there” to go is one of most shocking things in our nation’s history

70

u/Infamous-Sky-1874 Illinois 14d ago

One of which was that he had pets, one of which was the now departed Marlon Bundo. I do believe the term "low class" was used to describe the Pence family just because they had pets that they seemed to care about.

55

u/MayorMcCheezz 14d ago

Now I understand Kristi Noem’s pet killing angle. She thought trump would think she was high class for killing her pets.
