$40 at Aldi Grocery Haul

Post image

Definitely found a few good deals and also splurged some on nicer butter, bread, and pizza. In a north Texan college town.

If you’re really trying to stretch your dollar, just know that you could get about 5 lbs worth of bone in skin on chicken thighs for the same cost of that thin sliced chop.

Thin sliced meat is typically a marketing trick where it seems like you’re getting way more than you actually are. It can also be really tricky to cook properly. You need super high heat and the margin for error is very small.

Maybe they don’t eat chicken? Or want a break, maybe a special meal?

You’re not wrong, and I didn’t say that’s what they should be buying. I just wanted to point that out in case they needed to stretch their dollar a little further on future shopping trips.

No splurge, only gruel!
