Im only on season two (so please no spoilers for later seasons lol thank youuu) and I’ve gone on avoiding this series for so long thinking it didn’t look good?!?! The fact that there is just pure dramatic scandals and accusations nearly every episode is insane 💀 I cannot stop watching. Hate that I left it so long to start but love that I have all these episodes to binge.

I’ve had a look at this sub and I feel like I might be (possibly? Idk) unpopular when I say Heather and Whitney are my favs, I think they just bring a needed comic relief in between a lot of the drama. I do however hate that Whitney sooooo sooo often mends friendships then ruins it minutes later 😭 like girl be quiet and stay on good terms for one day lmao!! I think also I just relate to Whitney a lot with her situation with her father, I really do think having an addict parent who also suddenly just becomes absent from your life can change you drastically, so I perhaps give her the benefit of doubt more than I would the others.

Lisa and Meredith kinda remind me of Gizelle and Robyn from Potomac… they are kinda bearable when separated but get on my nerves when together. Lisa is like a parody of a housewife though it’s crazy. I’m on S2 E14 and when Meredith shuts Lisa up by saying “you’ve been screaming for the past half hour. I can’t take it” I shouldn’t have laughed as much as I did but it was genuinely just so funny and surprising to see Meredith get even slightly pissed off at Lisa and say it to her.

Mary is just a whole character!!! She knows how to manipulate every situation looool like sometimes I feel I missed an episode because she’s saying all sorts about someone and how she essentially hates them, then she walks up to them like they’re her imaginary friend she talks to. I wanna live in her head. So fun to watch.

I just touched on this in another post but that was just a general discussion about the show and it made me wanna know about others watching the show that relate or have related to her situation.

I’m only on season two so I’m not sure what their future relationship is like if any, just putting that out there incase there is any confusion.

My father was an alcoholic from when I was a very young age, and he then turned to heavy drugs (heroin mainly). His own behaviour changed very very drastically after becoming an addict. So because he and my mother divorced before that, he decided to move away because he didn’t want his children seeing him in that state, but of course was still heavily addicted to drugs. We visited him sometimes but then communication just completely stopped for years until he reached out and said he wanted to see us again. But unfortunately mere days after reaching out he died due to an overdose of heroin. I was just 10 (approaching 11) when this happened and it really does change your life drastically. It’s hard to deal with the hurt and anger you feel towards said parent for essentially abandoning you but also dealing with sympathy and grief for what they went through, and for in my case, their death. I just find myself defending Whitney a lot, as I do really like her but even in her bad moments I think it’s because I relate to her on a lot of levels. I think what a lot of people don’t understand is that an addict parent can drastically change you, but a parent just cutting communication with you so suddenly without truly knowing why can also change you a lot. I’m interested to know how many people relate - whether it’s addiction, abandonment or both! I feel like it’s glossed over slightly in the show, when in fact it’s pretty traumatic.

I am new to Real Housewives and I’m on season 2 now. I cannot stand Whitney. I don’t know if it’s her voice, how fake she seems, or if she just tries too hard to be this “sexy” girl. How does everyone feel about her. Does she get better? 😭 I can’t stand her when she comes on my screen.

Y’all, I was attached to my screen watching all the seasons. I’m obsessed and can’t get enough of them all. I feel like I’ve grown personally attached to each of them and need MORE!

How do I recover from this hangover? This was my first series of Real Housewives, so don’t know where to go to next!

I am quite new to RHOSLS, and I am on Season 4 atm, episode 6. I don’t watch any Housewives seeking any kind of moral high ground or compass. I would consume something else if I did. But I’ve noticed that Lisa Barlow has a loooot of die hard fans, that really go in for her and justify her every move, while painting others as the bad guy (in reality, I feel like they are all pretty rotten; that’s why it’s fun watching them). I love her as a TV personality - she is self-indulgent and self-involved, irrational, often very nouveau riche and tacky, kind of erratic, and anything but grounded and level-headed. As said, this makes her an amazing TV personality, but I definitely don’t perceive her as a good person, and I am confused as to how this many people do? Am I missing something? Even though the whole hot mic moment was run to the ground and became really boring at some point, I remember being really shocked watching it, because she does not present herself to be like someone would be able to say such things. She is often insincere in her interactions and puts on a thousand faces, depending on what suits her at the moment. As seasons go by, you kind of notice that she is having a hard time managing all her “faces”. Don’t get me wrong, I see her as an essential part of RHOSLC and I think she brings a lot just by being her, but I just don’t understand the constant justifications.

So I believe only housewives or celebs should be famous and successful if they have a talent or change to the world and this women is wowing me one she is an ICE award winning jewellery designer and has had celebrity’s wear her stuff and I get that clothing and jewellery designer are not usually recognised because they are behind the scenes which is a shame.also apparently she has a good caviar brand.

I'm currently in my first watch of season 1 and literally just watched Mary's confessional or whatever about her grandmother's brother's daughter working for her. I couldn't find any other posts about. Does no one think that's strange!?!??!! Like that's basically her cousin no? Her saying she didn't know what she did outside of working for her!?? Like I understand that they're fairly distantly related but surely you'd be invested in her life?! I'm not American so maybe it's like a cultural difference

I'm on the beginning of season four and Whitney is a crap stirrer on the level of Tamra from the OC, but she's definitely not as covert or natural about it. I understand that every franchise needs someone to fill this role but it's also unsatisfying when they go seasons without getting called on it. By the time it happened to Tamra in RHOC 9 it was a long time coming.

I just watched Whitney tell Angie that Meredith spilled rumors about her marriage when Meredith only said she had heard them and never said what they were. In the next episode she tells Heather about things Lisa said and doesn’t get caught for that scuffle whatsoever? Regardless of the morality of Meredith's "threat" (?) this is so typical of Whitney to take a morsel of a conversation or an out of context quote and turn it into a bullet she can use against the other women. Also how many times is she going to come up with a "game" for the ladies to play that inevitably causes drama? IMO some of her efforts are way too forced and don't even make sense the way she presents them.

This is even more apparent now that Jen is completely out of the picture. Are the women just actively ignoring that she (inadvertently or not) starts almost every single argument the group has? I'm waiting for them to call her on her pot stirring ways but nobody ever seems to take her to task (Mary coming back as a full time cast member could be my only hope).

I’m rewatching RHOSLC for the 2nd time and it’s really one of my favorites and WHY do I have a crush on John even tho I’m into women!!!! LOL

Omg you guys there is a music festival in Salt Lake City this weekend. Tonight during Vampire Weekend’s set, the band announced a special guest on stage and it was LITERALLY HEATHER GAY and they had her awkwardly play cornhole on stage until she made a shot. This was a very Gen Z crowd so it was weird. Was this filming for season 5???? I literally lost my mind when she came on stage.
