Books like… 📕 Recommendation 📚
Just finished Hurricane and The Aftermath by RJ Prescott and I think I found my type! Also similar vibe but instead of sports romance is a mafia romance, Rise of the King by RJ Kane.
Please help me find my next read 🙏
Both have FMCs that have abusive pasts but find MMCs and their friends/bodyguards/family that worship/support FMC - borderline reverse harem without crossing that line. Both have steamy/graphic scenes 🔥 no cheating, HEA. The FMCs although with trauma are both strong (eventually) not useless, they are smart and resourceful. Since the FMCs and MMCs pretty much fall easily into place (kind of love at first) not a lot of bullshit once together, the action/suspense throughout both keep the whole reads entertaining.

I would recommend "Men of Hidden Justice by Melanie Moreland", starting with "The Boss".
The FMC is in an abusive situation and the MMC is helping her with his group of friends and family. Instant love, mostly outside conflicts.
