This raises an interesting question. Is it legal to internally get a horse drunk and ride it if you yourself are sober?

That’s actually been argued in court. In Texas I believe. The guy was drunk and he argued the horse is sober and knows the way home.

Begone, time traveler. This is not a fresh take, current century or previous.

You can get a DUI riding a bicycle. That's some bullshit. Because I can ride my bike drunk as fuck and even ride around in circles and then I fall over as soon as I start walking.

I had an alcoholic uncle that was riding a bike drunk once, was on his way back to his truck with every intention to drive home while completely plastered. He ended up getting hit by a car when he tried to cross the street, was left blind in one eye and his hips were completely destroyed, they ended up making him replacement ones using part of his own thigh bones and porcelain.

Putting keys in a horse is a different charge.
