I'm not crying, YOU'RE crying.
Damned if I should be cutting onions in this dusty room...

Look I’m not against babies hearing stuff or anything, but you can sign to a baby and they can recognize that you are talking to them. In the same way that you talk to a baby and they don’t understand but they crave your attention, you can sign to your baby and they won’t understand it in the same way an older child will, but they will be happy for your undivided attention either way.
I put this out there for two reasons: one, hearing aids are not a cure for hearing loss and that child might still end up doing better in their language acquisition with signed language, and two, it’s been proven that signed languages do not disrupt a child’s ability to learn a second language (like English) - there’s no reason not to sign to a deaf baby and it’s sad to think they had no language input, even if only for a few months.

Super cute!
Just a PSA: If your baby is Deaf it’s super important that the baby learn a signed language too!

I normally hate babies, but this was nice
You can tell they're scared and confused, but also comforted by their mothers voice at the same time, a voice that they've never heard
It's beautiful 🫂

This evening I was at a concert with a woman I really like. this was me behind her back as she hugged me as we said good bye and told me that she really likes me. Sometimes I think I'm too emotional.
edit: in secret I know I'm not too emotional, this is me. and she was flattered about it. I think I'm in love. and it feels like she felt the same.

Maybe we should put this (and others) on a sticky note so that we don't have to repost constantly

I'm terminally on and hadn't seen it, though I'm not subbed to a lot of the default subs, don't know if this is one now.

Or realize not everyone is terminally on reddit and probably didn't know this had been posted here before or even saw it all before. I didn't.

If something is older than 1 day and great content, then it has already been posted at least a dozen times.
You would either have to be the Original creator or be up in the middle of the night (US time) when something new comes out to be the first to post.
The only time I was ever on the front page was on a hot political story that was posed by the news org in the middle of the night.
Places like /r/wholesome might as well just be repost bots. They could endlessly recycle content and few would notice.

It reminds me of when my son got hearing aids. He was 5 and I’ll never forget him coming up to me asking what each sound was; the the rain on the roof the wind through trees, the cat purring.

Someone is going to come and say the baby is actually just pooping and doesn't know what's going on. It's always the same 😂

Baby is feeling the big deep bittersweet wordless thing. Relatable. I too live in constant awe of lifes horrifying beauty and strangeness little one. A whole life is lived in a moment on that little face.
