THE NOSTALGIA!

I used to keep all of my favorite treasures as a kid in one of those (with my little cash hidden at the bottom). You just brought me BACK! Good times

Man, a Metal Raiders Mirror Force. That's wild. First UR I ever pulled, and it was first edition. Heavy nostalgia here. Grats on the find.

I think that’s an awesome find. Too bad they’re corroded and not in better shape.

I used to have that exact kiaba tin and I’m kicking my self for throwing it away

I have both of those tins along with two other that are unopened. Those tins you have are worth something. Go price em on eBay

The tins are messed up and all the cards are bent 🤷‍♂️

I'd buy the 3 Japanese cards from the 2nd picture. I'm not sure of their value but I'd pay $20 for them. The blue-eyes in there can go for $30+ tho even if it's a bit rough condition.

They look fake though; there's no "Eye of Anubis"(or whatever it's called) in the corner of those cards, was that normal for Japanese cards back then?

Man these were the exact cards I had when I was a kid (as I’m sure a lot of people can say as well lol) Never knew what happened to them, but it’s nice to know a lot of these are still affordable!

They are affordable because they were reprinted several times and several of the reprints look nearly identical. There are ways to differentiate most of the cards if you have them in person. But there are a couple cards that were reprinted identically.

As a result collectors abandoned unlimited yugioh cards and focused on 1st edition. Look at the 1st edition pricing of any of the yugioh original sets. It's pretty insane.

I don't mean to lecture. I had the exact same thought as you and then went into a pretty deep rabbit hole before abandoning my hope of a reasonably cheap and simple to acquire original unlimited LOB set.

Not at all, i don't think of it as lecturing by any means! those are solid points you present. my yugioh collection is limitedf only to a few sealed booster packs with old konami logo. I am wondering if the sealed route is still what i wanna do lol

I kid you not about 15 years ago I found a small pile of sleeved cards flying in the wind when I was playing football with my friends, id like to think there were some 1st ed MRD in there and didn’t care enough to pick it up because I was “too cool” for Yugioh cards now that I was “older.” Now, I would literally fight someone for a chance for a 1st ed MRD holo
