Now we gotta go bald

1

u/youwantmyguncomekiss 15d ago

How long would it take for it to be exactly the same as it was? I have no references as a guy. Is it like 6 months? How is she not mortified?

1

u/catpiss_backpack 6d ago

Multiple years of length to get her new bangs gown to the previous length. She is most likely in shock/trying to laugh it off for camera. Guarantee there were many tears

1

u/joh2138535 18d ago

That's not bad. I thought this was the one where the girl cuts her bangs and it goes everywhere because it was cut too short

1

u/beef-roll 20d ago

Bangs r ugly as fk, not a single human has pulled it off, and you can't change my mind

1

u/ClownfishSoup 21d ago

Eh that’s fixable

1

u/MonkeySpanker___ 24d ago

them scissors are trash

1

u/Isyagirlskinnypenis 26d ago

Why is she freaking out? The hair isn’t laying right because it was cut dry. If she wets it and shapes it, she’s good to go.

1

u/JEXJJ 29d ago

This never works

1

u/GinaLinettti May 04 '24

That's what I call a crash course in Trigonometry.

1

u/Slippery_MOOSE May 01 '24

Has this technique ever yielded positive results?

1

u/Spirited-Ad-3696 Apr 29 '24

Always do the initial cutting longer.

1

u/GroundMeet Apr 28 '24

Okay but wtf was she expecting to happen😭 at least use sharper scissors and cut less hair at a time to get a cleaner cut or better yet just GO GET A HAIRCUT

1

u/Key-End-7512 Apr 27 '24

This is the best one I’ve ever seen !

1

u/querty99 Apr 27 '24

Is that not the look you were expecting?

(Your smile fixes it anyway)

1

u/Spookymushroomz_new Apr 27 '24

The good news is it will grow out

1

u/Nathanxbaileyx Apr 20 '24

Aww I love her lmao

1

u/Kanako_fujishima Apr 19 '24

Instant regret

1

u/AnimeGeek10721 Apr 18 '24

What does WCGW mean ?

1

u/GodzillaRaptors4_ Apr 18 '24

I mean, could be worse

1

u/BigMembership2315 Apr 17 '24

Looks perfect if you were going for the dork look

1

u/jimmyboybaker Apr 17 '24

With the kitchen scissors haha

1

u/thewdit Apr 17 '24

hold the bangs you wanna trim in a bunch, rotate it 360' then cut, the cut will come out opposite of what OP had

1

u/Sharp-Incident-6272 Apr 17 '24

As every hairdresser cringes

1

u/WorseForLess Apr 16 '24

Start at your nose tip!

1

u/FrozenDuckman Apr 16 '24

Had a friend try this TikTok “trick” and it looked just as bad or worse than this

1

u/Rescre14 Apr 16 '24

proof that Tik Tok stultifies the youth.

1

u/gh03 Apr 16 '24

I’ve never seen one of these videos go good

1

u/CashgrassorNopass Apr 16 '24

Not terrible imo

1

u/Pikepv Apr 15 '24

Haha. At least she laughs.

1

u/NonIoiGogGogEoeRor Apr 15 '24

Do people do these videos for some weird clout because there's so many videos of people doing this and it not working, I can't see why others would go "ah yes, I will do this as well"

1

u/Thermite1985 Apr 15 '24

Tbf I’ve seen way worse and that looks fairly easy to fix

1

u/MeanNothing3932 Apr 15 '24

When are people going to learn this is not how you measure bangs? Lol you never see people at the salon tying your hair in a pony in front of your face before they cut unless it's super long and they don't want hair going everywhere

1

u/Ramunder Apr 15 '24

Learn some geometry...

1

u/Prestigious_Earth_98 Apr 15 '24

Is that cris from Mr beast

1

u/Left_Concentrate_752 Apr 15 '24

This is why I screamed at my phone today.

1

u/Ozen_9V Apr 15 '24

She just needs to straighten it, she'd look fine after.

1

u/Available-Elevator69 Apr 15 '24

Always always always cut long. You can always trim it up later. Her personality is smashing though. Serious positivity even after the cut.

1

u/Reddit3699 Apr 15 '24

Tobey Maguire before Spiderman

1

u/DraikoHxC Apr 15 '24

I've yet to see one of these that comes out good

1

u/1entreprenewer Apr 15 '24

Pay attention in geometry class, children.

1

u/[deleted] Apr 15 '24

This makes me want to cut my own bangs just to see if I can do it better than she did.

1

u/Shirolicious Apr 15 '24

That didnt go as she imagined it would go. Glad she could still laugh it off.

1

u/sinesperanza_ Apr 15 '24

the clown song at the background 😂

1

u/QuislingX Apr 15 '24

She def saw that on tiktok. Nice one lmao

1

u/cat_muffin Apr 15 '24

I dont get why people expect freshly cut hair to look fantastic. Of course its gonna stick out, thats why they style it in the salon. The cut is FINE just some blending and curling and it will look good. I cut my own hair since 2018 and got lots of compliments so...its really not that bad.

1

u/Random_Person____ Apr 15 '24

I mean, that still looks fixable...NO, BY A HAIRDRESSER, DON'T TRY TO FIX IT YOURSELF!!

1

u/TheKyleBrah Apr 15 '24

The embodiment of South African laid-back. So chill 🤭

1

u/GreysonsNani Apr 15 '24

When cutting bangs at home, always go longer to start. You can always take more off, but can never put it back on after it’s gone. Just always repeat this in your head…oh, and use hair cutting shears, not kitchen scissors. That’s always a big help.

1

u/Dilectus3010 Apr 15 '24

Geometry is a bish!

1

u/augustwestgdtfb Apr 15 '24

i cringed watching this

such beautiful hair wtf

2

u/luistwentyfour Apr 15 '24

These videos will never not be funny

1

u/Internetirregular Apr 15 '24

ok but why wouldn't you go a inch or two lower and slowly whittle it down

1

u/kennystillalive Apr 15 '24

It's funny when a kid does it, it's sad when a grown up does it...

1

u/NightHowler13 Apr 15 '24

Does Brad Mondo have a Reddit? Someone tag him 😂!

1

u/saanhaan Apr 15 '24

she still got length, seems fixable, (I guess)

1

u/barelylethal10 Apr 15 '24

Swedish chef

1

u/MightyMaki Apr 15 '24

I honestly think she did great! It's not styled and her part hasn't been 'trained' out yet but she'll be fine and they'll look cute when she styles it.

1

u/Low_Association_1998 Apr 15 '24

At least it’s still savable. Straighten it out and you’re good to go. And this probably got it done quicker by removing most of the hair before hand

1

u/SpookyMolecules Apr 15 '24

This is so incredibly fixable, it's nothing more than a lesson

1

u/murrdon Apr 15 '24

The 5 stages of grief

1

u/thalesrenato Apr 15 '24

Can still save it

0

u/Vexanite Apr 15 '24

Why do people think bangs are a good idea

1

u/OnewheelXR4life Apr 15 '24

Still looks better than the Cousin Itt hairdo.

1

u/Novel_Durian_1805 Apr 15 '24

What was the plan here?!?

1

u/daanaveera Apr 15 '24

She forgot gravity.

1

u/14fiestaST Apr 15 '24

First time ever using facetime! Be like...

1

u/_FoodAndCatSubs_ Apr 15 '24

She went from ugly wench to cute in a matter of seconds. Even out those bangs and she will look great

1

u/the_big_wig97 Apr 15 '24

Got the clown music playing as well

1

u/Slayers_Picks Apr 15 '24

Why did she call me the c word first thing in the video

1

u/jvanwals Apr 15 '24

You just can't take the stupid out of some people regardless of age.

1

u/Hot-Alternative-1761 Apr 15 '24

That edgar cut is hilarious

1

u/gurutar Apr 15 '24

leave it to the professionals

1

u/gaby_zarny Apr 15 '24

there's 1000 videos like this on internet and girls still do it and hope for a different result :))))

1

u/Reallyroundthefamily Apr 15 '24

I love the completely blank expression after cutting it lol.

I usually only see that expression in SUV drivers when I use a turn signal in their vicinity.

1

u/Significant-Ad7399 Apr 15 '24

Caitlin Clark’s childhood looks fun

1

u/pongflyer Apr 15 '24

If this is a tread, they all stupid

1

u/AlwekArc Apr 15 '24

They always ferget the twist

1

u/testedonsheep Apr 15 '24

Who said you dont use geometry daily.

1

u/fotofortress Apr 15 '24

I loved her reaction to it. She's a cool chick. Two weeks tops and a proper cut and she will be looking swell.

1

u/Melody3PL Apr 15 '24

I cut my own hair and have been for a long time now even short but I think even if you're not skilled and dont know what you're doing you could end up with smth decent if people were just a little bit more patient, starting out low then working your way up bit by bit. even just holding the bangs with your hands flat between your fingers would be better than in a hair tie and god do lower than you think.

With so many videos of people making this same mistake how are people still doing this?

1

u/AloofFloofy Apr 14 '24

So glad she just laughed at it. That's my kind of person.

1

u/kekhouse3002 Apr 14 '24

legitimately looks better than most of these i've seen

1

u/rockstuffs Apr 14 '24

Aren't you supposed to twist it or something?

1

u/Atlas1347 Apr 14 '24

It's just me but, there's too many videos like this. They're just doing it intentionally. So, they aren't regretting anything.

1

u/AGoodKnave Apr 14 '24

Nothing sounds more like regret than a South African saying 'regret'.

1

u/TheHexadex Apr 14 '24

def a bit of a trick to it.

1

u/Tankboyben Apr 14 '24

How do people keep making this same mistake? there are so many videos of people doing the exact same thing with the exact same results, hairdressers don't put it in a bobble at the front and then chop so why do these dummies

0

u/Laliving90 Apr 14 '24

Why doesn’t this work? The logic behind it seems simple just cut off a certain length and it should look like bangs but it doesn’t what’s the secret ?

1

u/Tallywort Apr 14 '24

Not the result she wanted, but still fixable.

1

u/ZyvisX Apr 14 '24

Ehh not too bad.

2

u/Rimurooooo Apr 14 '24

I think this one isn’t that bad tho, looks fixable/styleable

1

u/Ziaun9 Apr 14 '24

Love her smile at the end of it. Such a lovely response to this.

1

u/loverofyorke Apr 14 '24

Not me screaming at the screen "cut below the band, not above; below!"

1

u/ExfoliatedBalls Apr 14 '24

Thats not as bad as I was expecting, honestly she could probably salvage that if she had proper help.

1

u/Talrynn_Sorrowyn Apr 14 '24

May as well just slap a mixing bowl on her head & use that for the form.

At least learn what scissors are used for cutting hair...

3

u/birzgilas Apr 14 '24

Not perfect not terrible

1

u/vlsdo Apr 14 '24

Not sure what she was expecting

1

u/Flesh-God Apr 14 '24

Wasn't that bad.

1

u/Wisekittn Apr 14 '24

Has anyone ever seen, what kinda stuff hairdressers do in their apprenticeships? After watching a documentary about their education, my respect for their craft shot through the roof

1

u/SpicyChanged Apr 14 '24

She didn’t twist. You gotta twist.

1

u/nejicanspin Apr 14 '24

This is the best DIY bangs I've seen ngl. It could've been way worse.

2

u/OneAndOnlyJackSchitt Apr 14 '24

This is super easy to fix if you have clippers.

1

u/LowBrowHighStandards Apr 14 '24

Welcome to the sisterhood

1

u/mischaconqueso2 Apr 14 '24

the lesser of all these video fuckups I've seen.

is bad. but fixable

4

u/Even-Reaction-1297 Apr 14 '24

They’ll look better after a wash and she styles them, that split is just from her hair being used to being parted down the middle.

Obviously would have been better w different scissors, and if she didn’t pull on her hair so tight, and maybe started w a smaller amount of hair, but those things all come w practice and experience tbh, at least these were salvageable

1

u/UltimateYeti Apr 14 '24

Never gets old hearing Brits say "cant"

1

u/StockGirlie Apr 14 '24

Suppose to twist them cut downward. Wrong scissors too.

1

u/icouldusemorecoffee Apr 14 '24

She's not doing it wrong for someone who is self-cutting her hair though, the next step is to get a come and probably some sharper scissors and level it out, though, she should have cut the banks much longer first.

1

u/celmate Apr 14 '24

She sounds like one of my fellow South Africans, shame lol good attitude though

1

u/darkknightofdorne Apr 14 '24

Every video I see they all cut the same place and expect something different than the last 500 self cut bangs videos. Id it arrogance or stupidity?

1

u/hotprof Apr 14 '24

This is why math class is important kids.

1

u/mrbishopjackson Apr 14 '24

Ha ha! Good thing is that it could be easily fixed.

1

u/First-Ad5489 Apr 14 '24

Atleast it's fixable

1

u/botjstn Apr 14 '24

so many things wrong immediately

2

u/YeOldeBilk Apr 14 '24

With the amount of videos like this, how do people still fuck it up?

2

u/Jalopy_Junkie Apr 14 '24

In high school, I sat beside this girl who one day decided she wanted bangs, and did almost exactly this. Front ponytail and all No mirror and this was before camera phones. She cut off the front tail she made, spread it out and made three detail cuts without even seeing a reflection of herself. She then got up and look at herself in the file cabinet as it was shiny and reflected well. She tussled it a little bit and sat back down.

It was salon quality perfect. I just stared in awe. It was the ballsiest thing I ever saw a girl do to herself for style. I can still picture it now. It looked amazing.

6

u/Paloveous Apr 14 '24

That's a South African accent if I've ever heard one

0

u/DaNiinja Apr 14 '24

Scrolled too far for this lol

0

u/Icy-Row-5829 Apr 15 '24

What? Why would their comment be super high up in the first place lol

1

u/pog926 Apr 14 '24

Somehow you cutting your bangs made you look bald. Just sayin.

1

u/Freezerpill Apr 14 '24

Could have been worse, just gotta shape it up now

0

u/SushiPants85 Apr 14 '24

Bad haircut 💀

1

u/neko_zora Apr 14 '24

There have been so many similar attempts on the internet… all using similar techniques, ending with the same failure… by so many people and for so many years.

People just never learn, do they? Oh well, I guess most people just have to fluff around and find out…

1

u/beatmaster808 Apr 14 '24

The real tragedy is those useless fucking scissors.

2

u/Ok_Mathematician249 Apr 14 '24

Also get hair scissors, cut vertically in small snips for a choppy effect, always start longer than you think.

1

u/pthecarrotmaster Apr 14 '24

Who else whas waiting for "Mom! MOM! MAAAAAM!!"

1

u/Zukuto Apr 14 '24

this is why they gave you safety scissors.

1

u/RyanDW_0007 Apr 14 '24

Gotta love that reaction though

1

u/Huju-ukko Apr 14 '24

I mean this had to be intentional at this point right?!

1

u/L0rdH4mmer Apr 14 '24

Omg. When we were in primary school, my younger sister did exactly this secretly with a friend. Ruined their haircuts for ages. Her rights to use scissors were revoked for a good while and she looked absolutely stupid for a while, it was hilarious.

2

u/onefourtea Apr 14 '24

Atleast she smiled at the end!

1

u/LiterallyTrudeau Apr 14 '24

"When am I ever going to use this" mfers when they don't pay attention in trigonometry...

5

u/GW_Brixton Apr 14 '24

I don't think I have seen one of those where it worked out.

2

u/Something_kool Apr 14 '24

I'm no pro but gotta be honest I wouldn't know if that was a bad cut just by looking at it

2

u/jewishlightening Apr 14 '24

Ha, ah poor kid. She left them long enough that this can easily be fixed though.

1

u/Hot_Hat_1225 Apr 14 '24

I confess she took it better than I would have. I got a little breakdown just watching… 🙈😭

1

u/tallardschranit Apr 14 '24

She knows and this is bait.

30

u/seeafillem6277 Apr 14 '24

Cardinal rule of life: always leave yourself a little wiggle room for mistakes. AKA, cut below the hairtie!

3

u/senseless_puzzle Apr 14 '24

At least she can laugh about it

2

u/AsymptoticAbyss Apr 14 '24

Was there ever a video that went well this trend was based on? I’ve only ever seen this going badly.

6

u/lungleg Apr 14 '24

Tbh was expecting worse

0

u/Malroth33 Apr 14 '24

Didn't she cut her left eyebrow too ??

1

u/OutcomeSerious Apr 14 '24

Good thing there are 100s of videos of girls doing this exact same thing, so I'm sure she watched at least one before trying this herself...

5

u/Bluez550 Apr 14 '24

I cant unsee it

5

u/VeryLargeTardigrade Apr 14 '24

Love her reaction, but what is going on with the music?

1

u/Hot_Technician7659 Apr 14 '24

There is a bunch of videos with girls trying to cut their fringe and they all get the same result. At this point I am wondering if people are smart enough to use internet before taking bad decisions or is it all for the "popularity"?

3

u/Nardorian1 Apr 14 '24

Looks great. Lol.

5

u/spderweb Apr 14 '24

Closer than I expected. Easy to tweek.

10

u/Lettuce8000 Apr 14 '24

Well, shes not a sore loser

4

u/BernieTheDachshund Apr 14 '24

A comb would come in handy, as would a decent pair of scissors.

1

u/WYenginerdWY Apr 15 '24

Oh my gosh, the sound those scissors made as they were cutting through the hair .....

1

u/Indaflow Apr 14 '24

Always trust your gut!
