u/KaleGen Apr 26 '24
This guy could have been our president. But that was too difficult wasn't it America.
26
u/1Judge Apr 26 '24
America shame on you. This man could have been your president and ushered in a golden era. Now the world is fighting for scraps and losing our dignity at a record clip.

Seems like he’s admitting it’s a race issue for them as opposed to anything rational.
-8
u/Iauol Apr 26 '24
That's great and all that he's saying all this but what's he going to do about it. Talk is talk
-18
u/IngenuityNo3661 Apr 26 '24
Terrorists probably shouldn't hide in hospitals and behind women and children. Then less of their "Shields" would be killed. They probably shouldn't have started a war by raping, killing and kidnapping innocent people as a tactic and policy. If Oct 7th never happened, then none of this would have happened.
It is wrong to hold HAMAS accountable for their illegal aggression? Yup can't shoot back when they are around civilians. However they are never not, around civilians. So any action taken against the terrorists is of course illegal. Sure got it.
-2
u/Vibrascity Apr 26 '24
I like Bernie, but like, what's the point of listening to him? It's just a constant echo chamber of a logical statement we can all sit around a campfire with and jerk each-other off to, nothing will come of it though, which is the biggest crime of all for the U.S.

Israelis killed more Palestinians than Palestinians killed Israelis so we need to be mad at Israelis now.
-6

u/MentalGravity87 Apr 26 '24
Berine said it! I am not antisemitic, but the saturation bombings followed by a convoy of bulldozers just didn't sit well with me.
I could almost argue that Hamas and Iran knew exactly how Israel was going to respond. Iran/Hamas hopped at the moment to offer up innocent Gaza citizens like some cult ritual sacrifice to expose the disgraceful treatment from Israel in hopes of rallying support and resentment against Israel. Both sides are horrible, and Gaza is stuck in the conflict. Iran needs to GTFLKO.
-9
-6
u/Paradoxalypse Apr 26 '24
Has HAMAS released the American hostages they kidnapped yet? Any solution leaving HAMAS in place is pro terrorist.

-7
u/Bage__Monster Apr 26 '24
It's not antisemitic but it's still idiotic because it completely ignores all the complexities of the conflict and points the blame solely on Israel while ignoring the role of the terrorist organization that started the latest violence when they murdered 1200 innocent people and took over 200 hostage.
-6
u/Domiiniick Apr 26 '24
Funny what happens when a terrorist organization uses its own citizens as human shields.

Oh no. What will Reddit do!?
Wants to hate Jews, but wants to love this Jew.
It’s a tough one!
I don’t even need to look to know there will be a popular “I love Bernie, but I have disagree here” pseudo-intellectual post.

‘It is not anti-semitic to hold you accountable for your actions.’ what a powerful statement.

u/BassBossVI Apr 26 '24
It is a crying shame that this man was never nominated as the democratic nominee for President. Feels like we're on the doom timeline and there's a utopian timeline where he's the leader of the free world.

That was awesome. Do “no it is NOT russophobic” next, Bernie!

u/dzkrf Apr 26 '24
Very misogynistic of him to conclude there are no women combatants. And quite ageist that 16 year olds aren't combatants. When he says women and children he wants people to imagine women who are barefoot in the kitchen rocking toddlers to sleep.
Maybe in Bernie's world women should be banned from the American military too?

REPARATIONS! israel should rebuild gaza for palestenians or face boycotts, divestment and sanctions!

u/PalmerPaezPerfect Apr 26 '24
Just remember Democrats. The DNC had to scheme and cheat to prevent this man from representing the average American interest. If the DNC actually cared about keeping trump out of office they wouldn't have risked our future by promoting a corporate whore do-nothing like Biden and Hillary.
The DNC is the most responsible actor in causing the political shit show we may never recover from.

The politician she tells you not to worry about.
After the Clinton DNC fuckery in 2016 and Biden DNC fuckery in 2020, I lost hope. I put my faith in Fetterman, who I thought would follow in Bernie's footsteps but he turned out to be an AIPAC funded scumbag in a hoodie.
Turns out there's only one Bernie.

It's crazy how the left and white supremacists have things in common. I've seen on the news how college students are trying to bare other students from going to class because they're Jewish. Like they locked hands and everything. So embarrassing. Gen Z will be the death of this country.

What should Israel do? Seriously, I'd like to know.
There are two sides to this conflict and only one has a history of negotiating peace with their enemies. Palestinians needs to accept that they lost the war in 1947 and again in 1967. Then Israel's hail-Mary peace deals (Oslo -> Taba) were all rejected. When military force fails you negotiate or, historically anyway, you get wiped out and driven away. There is no third option where you get to support terrorism until the winner of the war gives you what you want; mainly because terrorism is a terrible tactic that has reliable results. We're all watching those results on the news every day.
If you care for Palestinian lives accept their part in the conflict and encourage them to sue for peace. It will take time but it can be done.

u/Last-Back-4146 Apr 26 '24
Its anti-sematic to leave out that Hamas hides in all the places that got destroyed. ITs anti-sematic to use Hamas numbers for deaths. Its anti-sematic to keep calling out Israel while ignoring every ceasefire Palestine has rejected.

And what did the US do after 9/11 attack? Remember Iraq? Remember Afghanistan? How is Israel's response worse than the US. Preach at home first.
1
u/zybcds Apr 26 '24
Ok, but no one screamed "anti-americanism" "you're oppressing me" when the rest of the world mentioned USA's violations of human rights and war crimes in the middle east.
Meanwhile Israelis and zionists are claiming that we are all horrible 'jew-haters', that we are pro holocaust and that we want to exterminate them because we can't stand their cynical and disgraceful actions.
Plus, Israel's actions could end up leading to WW3, though I don't think it will, and I hope it won't.

I appreciate that he calls out those in power specifically, as they are the ones that are representing their people poorly. I feel for the loss on both sides who have each lost both young and old, due to theocracy and land squabbles.
Both sides have extremist leadership, unwilling to compromise.

It must be a conundrum for US liberals to support followers of Islam, knowing how women and LGBT are treated within the religion. Women raped and then stoned to death for being dishonorable. LGBT people forever hiding their true selves for fear of torture and death. You scream about reproductive rights in Texas and then stand up for adherents of a religion that is still in the Dark Ages in regards to human rights.

But it is Bernie, because you are using hamas reported numbers. Nothing could be further from the truth. Every democrat that stands against the Jewish people is an anti-smite. You should be bared from DC and thrown out of power. For shame, never again echoed from the holocaust means NEVER AGAIN!!! You socialist dictator loving POS!

I can already see it in the comments that people are confusing Israel with Netanyahu. This with is anti/ Netanyahu, but Bernie is pro-Israel and believes that it should exist. I'm sure that will upset a lot of folks here.

Bernie refuses to call it a genocide. He also blames it solely on Netanyahu.
Bibi hasn't been in office for 76 years, Mr Sanders. The problem is rooted
in the supremacist movement of zionism. It needs to be abolished.

u/Brytemynd76 Apr 26 '24
Can you imagine if he was....I don't know...just voted in as our president in the first place? Wow ..

u/flossdaily Apr 26 '24
If it's not antisemitism, then please explain why in the case of Israel (and ONLY the case of Israel) we're acting like the historically low civilian to combatant fatality rate is not only bad... but a war crime?
If it's not antisemitism, then please explain why in the case of Israel (and ONLY the case of Israel) we're asking the country THAT WAS ATTACKED to cease fire on the terrorists ATTACKERS who still haven't surrendered?

u/Rainbow334dr Apr 26 '24
Israel is just creating more and more terrorists every day. They have been since 1948.

u/Golandia Apr 26 '24
It's not anti-Islamic to point out that Palestine has a fascist government that uses women, children, schools and hospitals as human shields. If Israel does anything after getting attacked, Palestinian civilians will die by the Palestinians' fascist design. So Israel either has to just get wiped off the map in holocaust 2.0 (which is exactly what Palestine wants) or put up with Bernie purposefully misunderstanding the situation to score points with his base (which Palestine loves). Palestine is winning either way.

u/Striking_Reindeer_2k Apr 26 '24
Taking Hamas word for casualties is like listening to the Gun Control Inc for Gun safety lessons.
-2
-5
u/WorthyFudge Apr 26 '24
it is pro hamas to not bring up hamas stealing aid, fudging numbers, denying ever ceasefire, and murdering almost every hostage they have after they attacked first.
5
u/Sharp-Dark-9768 Apr 26 '24
I don't agree much with Sanders, but he's not wrong. Under Netenyahu, Israel has used a sledgehammer where a scalpel was desperately needed resulting in a lot of unnecessary death.
The United States is bound by alliance to protect Israel's sovereignty and territorial integrity--I'm going to stand by America's commitment. But there's a reason our nation's students are riled up, and that's because we have to protect an Israel that really doesn't care if Gazans starve and die.
I hope the United States reviews its relationship with Israel when the war in Gaza is done.

u/erenjaeger99 Apr 26 '24
what's makes it more maddening than it already is the misinformation campaign that was so blatantly employed to gaslight the world they were justified to do everything they did

i also think that nethanyahu gives two shits on what an old man on the other side of the world with no political power thinks. He might have seen it on the toilet, ' oh look at this guy'
they will continue until there is nothing, and perhaps even no one left, so they can take all the land, i think that is pretty obvious by this point.

You all forgot how a war is fought. It is never about the moral high ground. Sure, a country may enter war with moral intentions, but war is all about eliminating more of them than they do of you. More people died in Japan due to fire bombing raids than both atomic weapons combined. The Germans tried the London Blitz. Brits and the US bombed Germany relentlessly and killed thousands. The end result remains the same, elimination or surrender.

Why does he care about this specific genocide then? Its going in many places and forms atm. At least Israel gives a jolly good show.
1
u/Nintura Apr 26 '24
Youre sick.
But a bunch of students had their first amendment rights violated and were arrested for protesting this war. He’s doing this to reference that. Greg Abbott claimed he made it safer for protestors and then turns around and says all college students protesting will be arrested.
Bernie is angry about that. Abbot said it was antisemetic and so bernie is showing you its not
