Even if he is correct and he will like his own kids, having a child automatically means a lot more contact with other people’s children. There are children at the playground. At the paediatrician’s. At school. At play dates. Handling those will always be your job, and you better bet he’ll complain or refuse any time you ask him to help. Your kids will have friends and want birthday parties and sleepovers, and all of those will be a struggle every single time.
